Hands down my favorite ice cream place in town. Ive been going to this place for years, getting their sea salt caramel or their weird secret flavor(found on their facebook, but it goes on and off) and its a great place to go to with friends, a date, or to fulfill that craving. The owner and employees are super friendly, great people, and the store is tucked away in a little shopping outlet, away from traffic. Regardless of the season, I always try and make a trip here when I can. Do watch out for their hours though; they tend to close a bit early, to give their employees time to rest.

Came to Richardson for dinner and decided to search around for dessert. Found this gem of a place! The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Unique and traditional flavors can be found. Its cream perfection and my husband and I really enjoyed it. The owner rang us up and made a point to try and remember us. I think its her goal to know all her customers. Prices are well worth the quality. We split a "granddaddy" for $5.50. Blueberry cobbler, banana nut, and salted caramel. All three were delicious and we couldnt pick a favorite.

I freely admit I have an addiction to ice cream. I eat it EVERY night. So I have to say Im a little bit of a snob when it comes to ice cream. I gave it five stars because I couldnt give it six. The staff was very friendly and let me try everything. Good thing for them I could only fit two scoops on that cone because Ill have to come back. I was sitting outside when a couple walked by. The man said "that place is always so busy". I said "cuz its gooood"!!

My husband and I love this place! Especially the cinnamon and oreo flavors. My one-year-old daughter was born with a genetic disorder called PKU. She cannot have protein, and therefore cannot have ice cream. Sad. BUT Sweet Firefly carries a fantastic array of sorbet which she loves. We are thrilled that we can share a special treat with our daughter at such a fun and friendly ice cream parlor!

Great experience! I came here a few months ago with a group while we were spending a few days in Dallas. After eating at a restaurant near by, we decided to pop in and have some ice cream. The ice cream (I tried cinnamon) was incredible, and the lady who served us was sweet and super patient while all of us chose our flavors. I definitely want to come back next time Im in Dallas/Richardson!

This place genuinely makes me happy no matter what, the ice cream is so good and every flavor is great and can work into any mood you have for flavors, the staff are so so kind and really make me smile, the atmosphere is the best Ive experienced, happy and lively music, happy people, happy everything, this place is amazing and I hope it strives on forever.

The best ice cream period. Loved every bite, wish i could eat an entire barrel of any ice cream they have. Very unique flavors all the time last one i tried was lavender and honey, super subtle flavors blended perfectly together. I crave this place. Staff is usually younger crowd but really enjoy the work they do, always helps with suggestions.

Small ice cream shop tucked in a calm neighborhood of Richardson. The ice cream cones and flavors are creative and yummy. The staff is more so.. they are friendly and welcoming. Try their vanilla bourbon and coffee toffee as a must although others flavors are great too. When ever we crave ice cream sweet fire fly is what we dream

SO GREAT! Ordered mint chip, salted caramel, bourbon vanilla, and cinnamon, but tried most flavors and they were all delicious. One of the owners walked in while we were enjoying our wonderully creamy, flavorful ice cream. She made our experience even more enjoyable- very sweet woman! Fantastic little ice cream shop!

Just a wonderful shop all around. The ice cream is house-made and fresh, the staff is amazing and the place is beyond kid friendly. They have toys for the kiddos to play with and even a chalkboard for them to write on. Ive never had a bad flavor of ice cream there or a bad experience. Vanilla Bourbon is my favorite!

I absolutely love Sweet Firefly! Its the cutest little ice cream place & it is delicious! The employees are also very friendly. When my boyfriend & I fought over who would pay, they made us play rock paper scissors for it. It was also the spot of our first date & nothing has changed since then!

I found this little homemade ice cream shop via google it was a wonderful experience.. the ice cream was creamy and delicious and the owner was very nice and came over and introduced herself on her day off.. Definitely worth the drive there we will be back

For me, this beats Blue Bell... Saturday nights line was outside the door, so we left. Came on a Tuesday night and was next in line. Wifey and I are true fans of the Bourbon Vanilla. She also loves the Salted Caramel.
