The wife and I went Sunday to watch the Cowboys vs Packers game with some friends. We showed up late so we missed the first round of ordering, but were quickly taken care of by our server who brought out water for us. Unfortunately this would be the last time he did something right for us. Since there was only 4 of us at our table, I was not prepared for the amount of errors and excuses we got from our server. Since I hadnt eaten all day I ordered a beer and a wing basket right off the bat. The rest of our party waited until later to order some food. He brought out my beer quickly but the wings took a bit longer, which was fine because they were busy. Half way through my meal my wife and the rest of our friends order their food which consisted of two appetizers and two meals. When our server finally returned with the food, we were missing one of the appetizers. He appologized for the mix up and admitted that he simply forgot to put in the order. That is fine with me, he owned up to it and appologized and returned very quickly with the missing appetizer. After eating a few bites of everyone elses food, my wife decided to order her own meal, and yet again, it was mysteriously "lost in the back." according to our server. so once again, he had to go and rush one of our items through. Once my wifes food finally arrived i ordered one last beer. After our server returned twice to check on us with out my beer, i asked where it was and he again appologized for the delay and went to check on it. When he returned with the beer he tried to play it off as a "lack of my teammates helping me out." Now if any of these errors happened on their own, they would be acceptable, most of the serving staff appears to be college age or under after all. But for there to be three errors in one meal shows a lack of effort, concentration, or caring by our server. My wife went and spoke to the manager and we were given a new server who was very polite and professional and actually served us what we ordered in a timely manner. The only other thing that bothered us was it was very hot inside the restaurant. We were told it was because there were so many people inside that the A/C couldnt keep up. Maybe something to think about if you plan on going in the middle of the summer seeing as its the middle of October and it was 80 F when we were there. Other than the terrible server we started out with, the food, atmosphere, and beer were great as always. I am a huge fan of their boneless wings and the ranch tossed waffle fries. I dont know if I will go to this one again, I will probably go to the one in Allen since it is closer to my house.

I used to work in the McKinney area and frequented the Allen Pluckers 2 to 3 times per week. The food and service were always great. I was very excited when I heard that a new Pluckers store would be opening in Plano, since I live at Park & Preston, but the experience has just never been up to par. I have been left sitting for ridiculous amounts of time waiting for service. Ive had orders come out wrong multiple times. Ive been served cold food multiple times. Unfortunately it seems as though teenagers are left to run the joint by themselves most of the time. Last night my wife and I got there at about 9:30. We stood at he door for a good 7 or 8 minutes before anybody even looked at us. When the hostess finally strolled over to greet us, she acted like we were just a pain in her butt. Since there was a big birthday party going on inside, we asked if we could sit on the patio, to which she replied with her sour puss attitude that nobody was working out there and left it at that. Nobody seemed to be working anywhere for that matter. So, she walked us down to a corner booth where we sat for 10 to 15 minutes thoroughly neglected. None of the servers would even look at us. Apparently nobody wanted another table. They were quite happy to just hang out there by the computer doing nothing. When I was finally pissed off enough to get up and leave, the kid that appeared to be the baby faced managers only remark was "Have you been helped?" I replied nope as I walked out the door. Its not a good idea for me to have a conversation when Im that aggravated. I have an extensive background in bar and restaurant management on the east coast some years ago, and let me tell you that this place is downright pathetic. I will never be back. If you feel like contacting me, knock yourself out!

Let me start by saying that I was very excited to visit your establishment in Plano (or any Pluckers location) for the first time. I heard from colleagues it was brand new and the food was great. My boyfriend and I along with another couple reserved a table for $20 on Super Bowl Sunday. I ordered a drink shortly after arriving and the server (who was really great) said that he would have to show my drivers license to a manager since it was out of state (Florida). I was completely fine with this and understood completely. The waiter returned and said that he wasnt able to serve me I started laughing thinking he was joking. NO, he wasnt joking. He said his manager couldnt PROVE it was a real ID since it was out of state. I asked to speak with the manager and when she arrived she repeated what the waiter told me. I understand that I look younger than my age, but Im 27 years old and the manager being even younger than I am should have understood. The most insulting part of the conversation is when she said, "The DMV would not give an ID out that is somewhat faded on the edge." My reply was, "Well they did, because thats the drivers license Ive had for about 6 years and I have never, ever had anyone question it." Her response was, "Oh, Im not saying its fake." At this point, it was not worth arguing. I politely let her know that this was the first and last time I would be visiting her establishment. My friends insisted that we leave because of the issue, but I decided to stay considering we already paid $20 to reserve the table. Besides, where else were we going to get a table for four on Super Bowl Sunday? Moral of the story: Buffalo Wild Wings will continue to have my business along with the 85 other people in my office that heard this story.

WARNING If you dont read anything else in my review, read THIS and engrave it in your mind: AVOID FIRE-IN-THE-HOLE AT ALL COSTS. To put it succinctly... "One does not simply eat Fire-in-the-Hole wings. Its meat is coated with more than just sauce. There is spice there that does not sleep, and the Great Chili is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and pepper and pain. The very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly." Yeah, dont do it if you know whats good for you. And for the love of god, if you eat it, make sure you thoroughly wash your hands BEFORE you go to the bathroom. Trust me. Anyhoo... MEAT The quality of the Pluckers wings are by far the best and biggest Ive ever had from one of these chain-types. They must source from a mutant chicken farm or something, these things are big and they are meaty. Dont think youll be able to eat the same amount youre used to from Wing Stop and Buffalo Wild Wings. Ive made that mistake before. Their boned wings are huge, and their boneless are even bigger. Really quality white meat thats juicy and perfectly done. I always get the boneless basket (in an effort to be "healthy") SAUCE They dont have a ton of sauce flavors, and honestly, they dont need them. They do the ones they have right. My favorites: 1) Bakers Gold 2) Hallelujah 3) Gold Rush SERVICE The service here is alright, but food takes SO long to come out. Its that way everywhere at every location -- Allen, Plano, Dallas, Austin... its all slow. Dont think youll get out there for a quick lunch. FINAL NOTE Really. Dont get Fire-in-the-Hole unless you want pain everywhere.
