I couldnt find a menu online except by a Google internet search but it didnt have any explanations about some of the items (eg was it a brown or white sauce). Went onsite and ordered sesame chicken x2, chicken lo mein, and mixed steam vegetables. I wanted to order the vegetables with Szechuan sauce on the side but was told I couldnt because it was already premixed (wait...what?). Waited for about 45-60 min in the lobby for my order. When we got back to the hotel, the sesame chicken was dry on the edges of the entree like the sauce was just poured in the middle, not tossed in the wok. Odd. It looked like an imitation "chicken" gluten mix but it WAS actual chicken. The sauce was off, it was too sweet and yet had no sesame hint whatsoever. Overall, it was pretty bad. My 9 year old daughter not my wife found it appealing. The steamed vegetables came with what looked like a soy sauce mix but my wife said the flavor was incredibly bland. The chicken Lo Mein was cooked and had the right texture, but the chicken and the sauce was lacking in savoriness and was salty at the same time. Kind of hard to explain. It was also a no go. The white rice that accompanied the three entree items were only 3/4 filled each, normally not a big deal but when it turns out to be the only edible thing it was disappointing. We ended up throwing away 3/4 of the lo mein and 1 full order of sesame chicken. At $37 I wasnt thrilled about it but you live and learn. Montgomery county, you are sorely in need of a decent Chinese food restaurant.

Ive ordered food from this place tons of times the food and the service has always been pretty decent. The expierence I had tonight wasnt the best, the man who was answering the phone a Mr. Erin was one of the rudest people I have ever met. My girlfriend called at first and he put her on hold, durring the time we were on hold we could hear the gentleman make totally inappropriate remarks regarding him being gay and something about eating womens private parts, we were on hold for about 6 minutes before we hung up. She then dialed again finally Mr Erin answered again. When my girlfriend asked to place an order for delivery he responded I wouldnt do that if I were you because were closing in a hour and half and its super busy here. So I drive up there to place an order and the restaurant had a WOPPING total of 2 people dining there. UNREAL SERVICE. Garden Lake is a quick convenient place to grab Chinese food but after dealing with Erin I would rather drive all the way to Houston so I wouldnt have to deal with the unprofessional service Erin gave tonight. My girlfriend and I are easy going people and never make a complaint but tonight couldnt go unsaid.

We have always loved their food. The problem? Placed the order for delivery, and was told it would be about 45 minutes. Not a problem, they normally deliver faster than the time given. After waiting over two hours, and dialing the phone number uselessly to cancel the order, the delivery guy arrives. The driver was very polite and apologetic, and explained that he was given the wrong address. Obviously, since their phone has been constantly busy for over an hour, they have plenty of business to not miss ours.

We called for delivery, but no drivers! Dont advertise what you cant maintain. The food was worse than the fake advertisement. The sesame chicken was like we left out McDonalds nuggets for a week and heated them up in the microwave for a few minutes and added cold sauce! All aspects of this encounter was a disgrace to any fast food establishment! I threw it all away. I would complain but from what gain, more terrible food? No thanks. Dont waste your time.

Ordered for delivery. Driver forgot our drinks. Hot and sour soup smelled like it was old and very rancid. The general tso chicken was not near as good as it used to be. Sweet and sour shrimp was flavorless. When we called to ask about the soup being disgusting, all we got was an apology, but no offer to refund or replace. What used to be a decent restaurant had gone down hill. Unimpressed and pissed off. Do not order from or eat here.

DO NOT ORDER from here. I was skeptical to begin with because of the bad reviews but it seems like everything is closed on Sunday in Montgomery so we decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely awful. I really dont believe it was truly chicken or steak. I guess it could have been but was way past expiration date. I took two bites and could not eat anymore. I just cant express how terribly bad this food was.

Took forever to be seated, smelled kinda funny when u walked in, and the host was rude (young teenage guy) and the place isnt very kid friendly. So we left, went home and had it delivered instead... the food was hot when it arrived, egg rolls leave something to be desired, and general tso chicken wasnt very good. The sweet and sour chicken was alright and the crab rangoons were very good!

Used to be a pretty good place & we ate here & had delivered on a regular bases. Unfortunately, the quality of food declined. The last straw was when I called for delivery, which had always been free, & was told that for my location there was a minimum $30 order AND an additional delivery charge. Apparently 3.9 miles is now outside of their free delivery area.

I have order from Garden Lake many times and have always gotten excellent customer service and the BEST Chinese Food ever. I very much enjoy their food and I believe it is the very best in the area. I have been to Panda Village, and it does not compare with the taste or quality of Garden Lake, not to mention, Garden Lake has better pricing.

If you love Chinese this is the place to go! So much better than any buffet that you could go too! The food is so so amazing and cooked when you order! It even looks as amazing as it taste! A must try if your in the area....you will return! And the best part you get plenty on your plate and the price is great!!!!!

The BEST Chinese food we have found in the Conroe & Montgomery area. The staff is friendly and attentive. We have searched since we lived in Austin in the 80s for a Chinese restaurant that made Sizzling Rice Soup. This is the ONLY one we found. It is every bit as great as our old restaurant. A must try!

The absolute worst Chinese food I have EVER had, and quite possibly the worst food I have ever paid for. Note that this is the first review I have ever provided of any establishment I have ever done business with. I just felt I should do my part to try and protect society from this god awful "food"

Hard pick between 2 and 3 stars for us. The General Tsos Chicken was average as was the shrimp friend rice. The chicken and broccoli was slimy and almost impossible to put in your mouth let alone eat. Still looking for a great Chinese take out place in the area.
