I hadnt heard so much good reviews about this but it was one evening that we didnt feel like cooking and so, thought to give it a shot anyway. And now I know, whats wrong with this place. Food: We went for veggie Grilled Vegetables Fajita and Tres Enchiladas. Nachos and Salsa, the complimentary appetizers, were decent enough. Nachos had this weird taste but wasnt too off. Both Fajita and Enchiladas were good.Overall, the food wasnt much inspiring since you can get much better Mexican right across the highway at El Fenix. Service: This is where things went a little down. As we entered, even though it was nearly empty, there wasnt anybody to greet for quite some time. Finally, I went towards the kitchen to find a lady who told that someone should get us seated in some time. Finally, a gentleman came and got us seated. For some time, there wasnt anybody to take the order. I can go into detail but, in the nutshell, the service was pathetic. Ambiance: This is where they are good. Quite spacious and open. The lighting is good and the interiors are great. Overall, I would give this place a skip the next time.

Bad service-Bad bar-Bad experience Good food and drinks 7-20-16 Had reservations for 12 and 13 showed up. Had reservations well in advance for Happy hour 3:00. No tables set up had to wait--No happy hour drink/menues printed had to wait--Hostess put to work servicing tea and water. Spilled a glass of water into the chair of one patron while serving iced tea to another--drink orders taken-some delivered OK-- some very late INTO meal-one gentleman never got his beer until our leader went to the bar and got it and served it herself--one salsa spilled down the back of a chair. Happy to say we had a very great group of Seniors that day and after we got to the bus-altho their were bad comments all around no one got too upset and by the time we got home we were laughing about. I think you have to agree this was NOT a good experience and I will let you take it from there. PS To my recollection there was NO bartender on the bar if so he was too busy to handle us and the other customers which were not many

The manger Sarah tonight is usuless. She just stands there while all of the overwhelmed servers are working. Mind you less than half the restaurant was full but the waitstaff all seamed pretty busy. I had to get my own silerwear. Sarah was standing at the host desk when I went to get the silverware. But she was too busy leaning on the shelf to apologize for the inconvenience. Our server that we started with never brought us our queso, silverwear, plates to eat our fajitas with, or limes that we asked for. Thank god ivy was there for us. She is the one reason I am even bothering to give this place 3 stars. If you ever come here only ask for ivy. No one else cares to make any money. Ivy was able to comp our queso for us but theres no excuse for this poor service. If you dont like your job leave. Ps please dont let managers wear see through clothing. Its very gross to look at while trying to eat.

We used to love coming here. My daughter 10 years ago used to say that this was where the best tacos lived. Fast forward nearly a decade to 2017 and her opinion is the exact opposite. To start with the tortilla chips were fried at too low of a temperature. Which meant that they were greasy with a stale slightly chewy texture. On top of that the oil needed to be filtered or changed; there was a slightly burn almost ransid taste. My wife got the fish tacos which was a big mistake. Again the oil needed to be changed, but worse than that the fish itself was way past its prime. One bite into her taco and we were all hit with a strong fishy smell. It was inedible. The only one bright spot was the waiter realized she ate nothing off her plate and removed it from the bill without us asking. So the service was good, just horrible food. We will not come back again.

Amazing amazing place! From the moment we walked in we were greeted like we were royalty. The managers the waiters the staff, the waiter put the tv on for my fiancé to "relieve him of his bordem" as he said lol. The waitress named Victoria that worked the Friday night we went was so pleasant and continued to check on us promptly and kindly, bringing me things to help me feel more comfortable, and even the manager himself named Ryan was also amazing and great to talk to. We let him know how good his staff was & he was just as pleased to hear our feedback and made sure we were well taken care of. Everyone here is amazing a lot of restaurants can learn a thing or two from these all, keep on doing what your doing Ryan with your staff & we will greatly keep giving our business here in return, Thanks

My boyfriend and i went to On the Border a couple times about 3 . Every single time we have gone they have made us wait along time . Yesterday saturday april 15 we went and it will be our last time. The manager hosted us showed us our booth , he didnt ask if we wanted drinks he just sat us there and didnt even say anything our waiter never came, and when we were about to go a waitress came and ask if we had been helped like seriously we havent gotten our drinks at all we left we had waited about 15 to 20 minutes . Coming from the manager who is suppose to be the example for his staff members , i can see why the service is really unacceptable .

Food is alright, but their Queso is great! its why I keep going back. The service on the other hand is awful. Tried calling ahead to put an order in and had to wait 15 minutes before someone answered the phone. after the first few times I didnt reach anyone you think Id have stopped calling. Trying to get a member of the staff to help you out while youre there is a work out. when they finally notice you they just keep asking the other staff to help and then that member ask another and so forth. Hire more people please!

My husband and I always go here to get our Tex Mex fix. Always delicious food and the best service we ever has was from Oscar. Hes an amazing server who will take care of you the entire time but we were so impressed the first night he served us. My husband uses sign language to communicate and Oscar did not ask me to interpret instead he did "charades" and did some finger spelling (in his way) to take the order and talk football. We definitely enjoyed our dinner more. We ask for him every time we go.

this On the Border use to be ok but since theres been new management its fantastic. the food is always good. love their flour tortillas & hot sauce. I always get their fajitas and salad with the delicious vinegarette dressing. Im always impressed with the management. They always take excellent care of you. How many restaurants do you see the GM clearing off tables, filling your drinks & seating people. Love the atmosphere, food & service. If you havent been there lately youre missing a good time!
