Great place for rehearsal dinner. Living in Florida we were searching the Internet for a "unique" restaurant in the Humble area for our sons Rehearsal Dinner. We wanted something diffrent then the typical restaurant. We wanted a private dining room for atleast 22 persons. We wanted something a little upscale but affordable. We wanted a three course dinner at a set price with a choice of menu. We wanted wine served at dinner. After searching the area via Google and Google maps we found Chez Nous, I read the reviews and menus and was impressed so I called Chez Nous. I ask for someone whom could help me with a Rehearsal dinner and was directed to Brittany. Brittany was very kind and professional, it was obious she knew what she was doing and provided me all the information I ask for and then some. She emailed me several Choice Of Menus one $40 a $50 and a $70 per person menu. Each had several choices of each cource. I chose the $40 menu with some apprehension, it looked great but being the lowest priced choice I worried maybe it would not measure up in some way. We selected a wine to be served at dinner and booked the private dining room for the dinner. Upon arriving at Chez Nous for the event it was the first time we had actually been in that part of Humble. At the Rehearsal I had texted each driver a Gmap link to Chez Nous, this worked great as nobody in the wedding party was familiar with Humble and being winter it was a 10 mile drive after dark with several road changes. Worked great everyone made their way there with no delays. Chez Nous is established in a former home on a residential road. While there is limited off street parking we found plenty of parking on the street for all of our guests just steps to the front door. We were greeted at the front and escorted thru the main dining room to our private dining room, along the way each and every one of the numerous staff members we passed greeted us with a welcome and a warm sincere smile. While walking thru the Main Dining room I was impressed with the decor, the lighting, the ambiance. It was 6:30pm on a Friday and the main dining room was already in full swing, many couples and some tables of 4...looked quite intimate, diners were mainly dresses comfortably upscale with many of the men wearing a jacket. Staff is well dressed in uniforms typical of fine continental dining rooms. Our dining room was beautiful with one wall being full wine racks (Chez Nous has an extensive wine list) and others adorned with art and paintings. Table settings were beautiful with upscale China, place settings, glassware and table linens and plenty of room to move around. The waiters were very attentive, staying in our room constantly monitoring each and every guest and accommodating their needs immediately, again continental fine dining style. Pre Printed menus with a custom header printed atop for our event in leather bound covers were presented to each guest. Upon noticing some of our guests were unfamiliar with the menu items I ask one of our servers to describe the menu choices, with out hesitation he took to the task and calmed the room then presented his description of each of the three or four choices for each cource. He did a great job and this put everyone at ease making their selection. I would recommend this for all. Each cource was served with precision, we were never rushed, timing was perfect and the food was well presented and at appropriate temperature. Tables were well managed, plates were cleared at the perfect time for each guest, no one was rushed nor was anyone left with dirty dishes or silverware infront of them when they had finished their cource. Again very attentive but never intrusive. After desert the tables were cleared, again we were never rushed, the servers remained in our dining room for our entire function always attending to our guests needs even after the dinner while we mingled for the next half hour. Due to all the staff Our event at Chez Nous was a great success. I applaud the superior service and mangement of Chez Nous.

We visit Chez Nous about 3-4 times a year for special occasions, with the latest visit being last night for late supper. Never been here for dinner? If so, youre in for a real treat. Right from the moment you pull up to the charming restaurant, you can feel the warmth and smell the wonderful dishes being created inside. Weve had Stacys Table d’Hote Dinner several times, and its always been fantastic. Sometimes that can be a real leap of faith to allow five unknown dishes to be chosen for you. Rest assured that this will be among the best surprises you can imagine. For last nights dinner, we decided to order from the regular and seasonal menu. For appetizers we had the chicken ravioli with a port reduction and the fresh blue crab, mango, avocado and tomato tower. Id been wanting the try the "tower of crab" for a very long time, and it was heavenly, as was the ravioli. The diver scallops and shrimp with coconut rice were perfect. Ive had seafood here several times, and Im always amazed by how perfectly its done: always well-seared, but never with that slightly tough texture that sometimes happens with seafood. My fiance had the filet mignon, and even an almost-herbivore like me appreciated the bites he shared with me. Absolutely perfect. We wouldnt dream of coming to Chez Nous and not getting dessert. The limoncello cheesecake was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, and my Grand Marnier souffle was divine. Having tried all of the souffles now, I cant pick a favorite. It may be time to start all over. The wine selection is exceptional. If youre not sure what to pick, just ask because the staff is incredibly well-versed. You could also treat yourself to the chef’s wine flights to pair each course. Weve done that several times, and its always an incredible experience. There are so many other things besides the food that make this a flawless experience: the exceptional but unobtrusive service, the perfect atmosphere, etc. This is a lively place, and yet somehow it still feels intimate. If you cant tell, were fans of Chez Nous. Its a good thing we dont live in Humble, or wed be here every night. Not that it would be a bad thing!

Chez nous had great expectations to meet. French cuisine continues to be considered one of the best in the planet, and this little restaurant in Humble, TX was not to be the exception. From the time we made reservations, service was extremely courteous, and continued to be so when we were greeted by the hostess and escorted to our table. Our Maitre D had broad knowledge about wines, and his suggestions were impeccable, as well as his advise about the food: brief and accurate. Our waiter was also extremely professional and attentive without being overwhelming, a rarity these days. The atmosphere was absolutely romantic and cozy. The stars of this palatable show were many. An opening with a Heirling tomato salad with red onions and Vinaigrette, it was absolutely well executed and well plated, with tangy flavors and crispy textures rendering this dish to absolute deliciousness. There were two main course dishes this night: Duck (Grilled Breast of Muscovy Duckling, Leg Confit, Burgundy Poached Pear with Citrus Glaze and it’s Shepherd’s Pie) and bacon wrapped sirloin with mushrooms in wine sauce (Tournedos Bordelaise, Bacon Wrapped Beef Tenderloin, Bordeaux Mushroom Sauce). The former perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning, juicy but not raw. The latter (beef) also went right to the point of perfection: delicately tender and boldly juicy. I must say that there was a hint of charred taste in the sirloin that threatened the harmony of this dish, although the sweetness of the carrots compensated well. Finally, dessert, the other shining star of the evening: raspberry/passion fruit souffle, wich was perfectly "spongy", and melted instantaneously and mischievously in the palate, which only longed for more. Crusty tanginess on the top, the acidity of both fruits combined armoniously with the cream, which had the perfect degree of sweetness and texture. Exquisite !
