My girl and I have been to this place twice since being in Houston. We are both Gluten and Dairy free and always appreciate a place that can accommodate food sensitivities. Harvest Organic does so wondrously. Their menu is full of delicious options that are all marked to accommodate, and their food is seriously amazing! If you know anything about eating pure organic food, you know that the taste is so much more potent and delicious than other foods. On this particular night it was Valentines Day, which is also my ladys Birthday. We came in last year, VDay 2013, and we were back again this year for our big day of celebration for Meghan. Not only do they always cater to our food needs and serve great food with such grace, they go out of the way to make Meghan feel special each time. Ive taken the effort to explain that it is her birthday and I have a cake (which Meghan doesnt know about). This year it was cupcakes, and they were nice and accommodating enough to sneak out to the car, grab the cake, and bring it in. Then, they inform my server of the surprise. This year it was a pretty Spanish woman with a seriously professional demeanor, sweet personality, and awesome accent. She was wonderful all night, answering questions and checking her notes (shows how prepared and professional she is) or asking if she did not know. After our meal Diane (or maybe Diana) single handedly brought out the cake and began singing happy birthday, where I of course chimed in. She threw in a candle and made it a great moment. Meghan was very happy. I greatly appreciate someone who is so nice and accommodating because she chooses to. But, she also made great effort to go over and beyond, to fulfill what is somewhat of unique day and night for Meghan and I. I highly recommend this place and Diana for her wonderful service. Ive never tipped that much before, but it was well deserved. Oh, and one last thing... I appreciated that when we offered her some cupcakes, she was happy to accept.. and ended up taking 3 total upon our suggestion :) Then, I still ate 3 more on the way home :/, but hey it could of been worse. lol.

This place was perfect. A lunch meeting turned into something we didnt want to end. The ambiance was great, our waiter was attentive and charming, and the food.....healthy and mmmmmmmm good!!! I had the crab cakes, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies, and I tried the reboot for my drink. I have to say, the 2 crab cakes were small, but thick, so it worked. Our food came quickly...and you can actually see them cook it at an open concept kitchen area..that I almost did not notice, it just fit right in. There is space outside where you can eat...but that would be for the night. Here in Houston you cant really stay outside too long in this heat during the day! But that area is blocked off by a fence and umbrellas over the tables..and it looks like and extension of the restaurant, covered by an awning as well. I would love to hang out there on a nice evening. I honestly did not expect to see what I saw when I walked in. Its a cozy place, with wood and bottles decorating the walls. The chairs cradle you and your feet touch the groud so you dont feel so high and mighty, and you have to really push yourself to leave since they are quite comfy. No pressure to hold your pinky out as you drink your wine or cappucino, or to not be yourself. Humble is the word that comes to mind. The prices are moderate...but I think its worth it. If the prices were lower, i could see myself there are least once a week for lunch and/or happy hour. Next time, well sit at the bar and see how that goes. 2 thumbs up!

Extremely rude; I was told that they dont care about my 5 year old daughters serious food allergies. I tried to provide a list of 5 (five!) ingredients that will send her into anaphylactic shock, and was told to "look at the menu", which lists "whether the dish is gluten-free or not", as if we were participating in some sort of fad, rather than avoiding certain death of a small child. It took me 15 seconds to list what she is allergic to (nuts and seeds and associated oils - how hard and time consuming was that?!) and was told point blank that he didnt have time for such detailed questions. So not only do they not care about their customers, but they also clearly have no idea whats in their food, in spite of their advertised concern for such things. Dont be fooled by "organic" in the name; just take a look at their website, whose top/center banner proudly proclaims: "Franchise opportunities available!". Where do you think their priorities lie? Avoid at all costs if you truly care about actually knowing what is in your food (and the well-being of your family). PS Their restaurant looks like a German biergarten for some reason. Also every car in the parking lot was a white Lexus, which was pretty telling, now that I think about it.

We were at the location on Westheimer @ Kirkwood. The food was GREAT!! The service? not so good :( We were a party of 7 (6 adults & an 8 year old). The service we okay, but not good enough for the 18% they tacked on; they even charged us 18% on the tax portion! I was outraged, however; since I was with a large group, I chose not to raise a stink at the restaurant. I am a multi-time returning customer; from before they remolded and added the grocery store. However, I doubt I will be returning to be taken advantage of in the future. Its really too bad they charged us for service we did not enjoy. Our original check came out wrong - it charged for more than we had ordered; then it returned with an over-the-top "tip" charge and they asked for more tip on the signature line of the store receipt!! Beware of this practice, many unscrupulous people are trying to "double dip" on the gratuity when you dine at their establishments. Diners Beware!!

Had lunch there a couple of times. The food is very flavorful and unique. The artichoke soup was very good. I also had the ceviche which very well done. The weight staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor on the inside is much nicer that what the outside would lead you to believe. The cost was very reasonable. For a healthy lunch for three it was about $40. The decor and ambiance made me think this place was going to put a hurting on the wallet, but no, it was well worth the money. Overall, the food was good, of course there are better places to eat, but if you are looking for something different than, Mexican, burgers, Chinese, or a sub shop, then this a good place to go to break the monotony

i love that i can go eat here and not have to worry about what i am putting in my body. very stress free! the food portions could be bigger, but i guess then they would have to raise the prices which are extremely reasonable. i dont eat out much, #1 i cant afford it, #2 i cant eat GMO. so im appreciative of this place having such reasonable prices. Ive only been here twice, i had a gluten free brownie that was so good i couldnt believe i only paid about 8 bucks for it and it was gluten free. im serious, and i have eaten some nasty, i mean nasty gluten free stuff. you wont find that here at all! go check it out for yourself. at this price, you cant go wrong.
