I have been dining at Chef Kos restaurants for years. Marvin Zindler himself hailed it as "The Best steak in Houston". And for me, the service has always been impeccable. Im not sure why people are complaining about the food though, its a buffet... You served yourself. Short of asking for a drink of cleaning your own table, youre on your own. And, on that note, if you ask for a menu, you will be treated to the best they have to offer. I myself prefer the Emperor Steak. Though the food may not all be traditional Cantonese, Kos is the best Asian restaurant in Houston... Though Kim Son downtown is pretty good as well.

We should have known something was wrong when there were 5 cars in the parking lot, but we said its only 6:30pm maybe the dinner rush hasnt arrived. Turns out, everybody must know the deal with this place and we were the ignorant ones. I dont know what happened to this place but they shouldnt be here much longer. Memo to the owner...just because nobody is there doesnt mean you can stop making food or let the food nobody is eating sit there for hours. Good luck if you choose the patronize this place

Despite of seeing the reviews my boyfriend was hungry and we were in the area we decided to give it a try. The food is ok not the best their Tso chicken is dry so is the rice they dont have much to choose from. My boyfriend tried their pupusas which was a bad idea to start but what the heck, boy were we right they were horrible. I tried their sushi that was dry also and the avocado was turning black I think the best thing here was their Pepsi. Never going back there one and done.

Nice place but if you ever had Chinese somewhere else you immediately noticed a difference in first bite. I travel all over the states and had different foods all over this food is very bland and looks like its just being pushed out.. Not a fan but if you have a tongue thats use to this food more power to you. Tried 3 different plates gave it a chance...

It was disgusting shrimp had a bad smell the place was filthy and smelled like fish I felt like I was in a bait shop, the restrooms were filthy looks like it had not been cleaned for days. Also to expensive for the kind of service you get. I will NEVER go to this place again!

The general chicken was raw, food looked as if it sat there all day, food was cold, waitress didnt speak any English and the other waitress was super rude! Will never even give them a one star! Oh and to top it off the threw food back in that someone dropped off their plates

We wanted an order to go. The web states they close at 10 at this location. We called close to 9:30 for an order to go and was told the kitchen closed at 9:30. Who does that. If you are open you serve people. What happen to your customer service you use to have?

First time here and it was a good choice. The food was good with a lot of options to choose from. The waitresses where friendly but only came around once to pick up the dirty plates. The restaurant and food line was clean. The kids liked the fish in the fountain.

Food is good when its fresh. Which is almost never place has went down over the years way better place when it was smaller. And the prices are way to much for the quality of the food and dont bring the lil ones they charge a arm and leg for a kids that barley eat

What a nice buffet! Not the biggest buffet I have been to, but the food was good and the restaurant was clean. Friendly helpful staff kept our table clean and our drinks refilled. At under $12.00 for a drink and lunch you just cant go wrong!

Open at 11 AM but some of the good food are not ready, it end up that you can not eat all the food that suppose to be in the buffet area, when we left at 12PM more food at the buffet area.frustratted to be the first customer

This restaurant has never ever disappointed my family. The buffet is huge, full if fresh, delicious, choices. The only bad thing is how you feel when you eat to much. Ordering from the menu is even better.

Very expensive.... I went to take lunch with my husband, 10 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter...I pay $49.50+tips.... my children just ate a wonton soup, jello and ice cream cone..... we wont come back.....

This place has the best local Chinese food. We order the sesame chicken and Hunan chicken to go pretty often. The prices are as expected for fresh hot food. The restaurant itself is very big clean and nice.

Its expensive for what it is, the food used to be great but I got sick the last 2 times I ate here. The meat in the wontons (wonton soup) were a weird color and none of the food tasted fresh

Pretty damn good buffet. Fresh food on the line and alot of good choices. Dont go unless youre hungry enough for a full meal. 11$ buffet with a drink. I will be going back soon

China Ko not fresh food. They charge you full price but do not even have all their food out. Its been here a long time. But their food keeps getting worse. Last time I come here.

The food was lukewarm at most. Most tasted rank, or off in a way. I didnt eat, but my husband and daughter did and were both ill after eating here. Best advice is stay away!

Everything I had was terrible. Left hungry, rather than eat trash. Sushi was terribly prepared, egg rolls a joke, hot & sour soup was just sour soup. Everything was horrible

The iced tea was nasty...and only Pepsi products on tap They have soft-serve ice cream.... Decent buffet bar...mostly chicken dishes Clean and no weird odors
