With so many other Mexican restaurants to chose from, we decided to give Taqueria a shot. The outside of the place doesnt look bad but definitely could use a field day. Once inside youre greeted by 5 gallon paint containers used as ice tea dispenses, a sight that would horrifying most. Once we ordered we noticed how the prices are a tad bit above most other places weve gone before so now the expectations are raised for the food. I had the parrillada and my wife had the quesadillas. My dish was pretty tasty and Id say a dish worth having again. The quesadillas wasnt as tasty, needless to say my wife was pretty disappointed. What really made this restaurant leave a bad taste is the way they nickle and dime its customers... 2 refills only, 0.75 for sour cream, extra for this and extra for that... Not a big fan of this practice. Overall, the food can be a hit or miss. The decore is pretty good but Id take off that 5 gallon paint container for ice tea at the front of the place. The nickle and dimming practice isnt one to leave a good taste once the bill comes.

Alright, first off all I ordered was a Papa Max no bacon bits and a Pepsi. Not only was there bacon bits, the potato was rock solid, you couldnt even put your fork through it to take a bite. Yuck! Then get this, secondly one I finished drinking my Pepsi, I went popped the lid to throw out the ice and found two squished bugs and one black one still intact. Sent a report to the Action 4 Food 4 Thought in request of a health inspection of that place. Not restaurant should be giving out food or drinks with bugs. NEVER AGAIN shall I eat there.

shama you really are ignorant of course you never herd them cause they are different varieties of food and thats whats unique of this restaurant,hate it or love it best tacos youll ever eat in the valley,p.s. tacobell is cold food from like years or weeks and this restaurant is fresh dont believe me ask the owner, and what you pay is what you eat.

Never went before because of bad reviews from family members. Tried with different family members and thought was good. The place was hot, kept being harassed by 5 gnats, restroom needs remodeling, and food took long time. With that said food was good and price was right so gets an okay. Ill try again in a month.

I used to love this place till one time I went tgru drive thru an took 3 orders for the family an I ordered mine with white cheese (mozerrella) an turned out to be spoiled an I got sick off of one bite. NEVER AGAIN! NOW I only go to Mr.Taco I dont care if I have to drive to San Benito from Harlingen.

I ordered the taco combo with 4 tacos, a baked potato, charro beans and a drink. It was so good!! I used to love jaliscos which is down the street but they take forever to get your order ready. Yummy tacos and cant wait to go eat more! ☺
