"Would you like Ecoli with that?": Thats what this places slogan should be. Let me start out by saying I review plenty of stuff on Yelp and G+, the good, bad, and the ugly. I especially like to review the good places, because so often people just go to the Internet to bash restaurants, but never give them credit when it was a good meal. Sadly, this is not the case. I went to this place Sunday afternoon 9/27 with my friend as we were driving back to Dallas. Neither of us had eaten breakfast, so lunch was much needed. I had to catch a flight out of Love field by 4pm, so we needed food in a hurry. Everyplace else was either an hour wait, or closed because it was Sunday (thanks, Jesus! D: )My friend was smart and ordered the turkey burger, whereas my dumb ass ordered a cheeseburger with the sauerkraut sauce. I went the extra mile and ordered sweet potato fries because I was starving. Word to the wise: DO NOT EAT MAYO BASED SAUCES unless you really, really trust a place. I wasnt thinking and absent-mindedly tried their "Happy Sauce", which is a dipping sauce for fries. It looked to be an aoli/peppercorn mixture. I felt fine until I was cozy in my bed at 2am back in Denver when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Straight up Exorcist scenario. Needless to say I am on Day 2 of not eating any food, barely keeping down water, and missing work. THE HAPPY SAUCE = NOT HAPPY! :( I dont know how many other people have gotten food poisoning from this place, but I would venture a guess that their sauces are not stored at the right temps, and an inspection would show as much. Dont bring your kids here, dont go here because youre in a hurry... Just dont.

This quickly-expanding burger joint serves one of my favorite burgers in town. However, after my first visit to the Georgetown location, I feel like they are losing the unique charm that got them noticed. I usually visit the location on Burnet Road in Austin and their burgers are incredible. My visit last week to the Georgetown location was very different than what I expect from Hat Creek. First, when we arrived, I wasnt sure where to go to order. The layout was a little confusing with the register in the back on the right. Also, there were three guys back in the kitchen, but no one up front to take orders. When we stood at the register to order, no one acknowledged us for over 5 minutes. Finally, a different guy came out and took his time to put on his headset, adjust his clothing and then, without looking us in the eyes, said, "What you want?" Excuse me? The burger was good, but not like I am used to from Hat Creek. This location does have a great atmosphere. Outdoor play area for children and televisions inside to catch the game. It sit on the San Gabriel river for a picturesque meal. If they can figure out how to bump up the service level to match what Hat Creek is known for, then I could easily see this place back at 5 stars.

We recently hosted our daughters birthday party at Hat Creek in Georgetown. Victor and the staff were so wonderful! They took the orders ahead of the party and had each childs order ready with their name on the bag. After the kids were finished with lunch they brought each child their own small birthday cake shake. This was a treat for me to not worry about cupcakes or bringing a cake. They reserved tables for us together and checked on our group several times. Overall it was organized and delicious. We would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great spot to host a party for kids!

Great food an even more outstanding customer service. Being that we had never eaten there before we mistakenly ordered a chicken sandwich thinking it was a burger. When we took the chicken sandwiches back and explain that we thought it was a burger they wanted to refund the money, let us keep the chicken sandwiches and also give us the burgers. We didnt take the refund as it was our mistake but saved the chicken for later. We loved how they grilled the buns for the burger! Will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Worth checking out. Wow. From an out of town visitor - well stay on the lookout for future locations. Loved that they have such a cool natural playscape for the kiddos. Not to mention the draft beer and impressive milkshakes. $1 drafts on thursdays. Burgers are similar to Five Guys burgers, but maybe SLIGHTLY more delicious. We had the regular fries... maybe try the seeet potato fries instead? Liked the breakfast options - will have to check it out next time!

Hat Creek is way over rated! They dont take phone in-orders but the worst is for 2 little hat burger, 2 kids chicken strip meals with fries and drinks, 3 milkshakes the total was $44!!! And they forgot to add french fries to the little hat meals so I paid 7.49 for a tiny hamburger! Next time we are going to Hardtails where your burger is great and they dont skimp or up-charge you for changes! No wonder there was hardly anybody there on a Friday night!

Hat Creek was recommended to me by my parents. We were super excited. .....but its SOOOOOOooooooo not worth the money! $55 for a family of 5 and this is what we got: Coke = flat and unflavored (if Im gonna drink something unhealthy, it better be AMAZING. .... heck, if Im gonna pay for it, it better be great! ) Burgers = over cooked, extremely dry (as a "burger company" your product should be incredible! ) Fries = stale (SMH) Huge disappointment!

It an ok place ! A lot of kids at an over - indulgent burger joint. Walked in and greeted by a friendly waif, asked if there was a lunch special, told "Nope". Proceeded to order the double burger - $5.49- Cheese ? - .69 $3.98 for fries and a drink - minus .49 for tbe combo. Now, think of McDonalds double cheese burger. Thats about the size if it. But it has lettuce tomato and onion. Total for lunch - $10.47 You be the judge !

The food was excellent! The burgers were not greasy and they werr cooked perfectly! The shake was home made and tasted like my grandmas! The veggies on our burgers were fresh and crisp as well. To top it off, the staff and cooks were courteous and professional. We will make a trip back to Hat Creek from Killeen anytime to eat there again! Thank you for a great lunch!!! (I recommend the fried pickles!)

Good and fresh food even though it was 3pm on a weekday... so it must have been made to order. We like the burgers and the sweet potato fries are better than most places. our 6yr old doesnt like the chicken because its "spicy" she has a very low heat tolerance and the chicken batter was covered with black pepper specks, see pic... so the chicken is very peppery, probably too much pepper for most kids.

These guys provide a quality burger no matter which location you visit. The burgers are made as you order and the toppings are very fresh. The fries are good and depending on the location the "dessert" selections vary. Maybe not so different from some of the other local burger joints but better than any fast food, and definitely worth a visit if you like a good burger and are near one.
