Stuck at the Hampton with only a 3 mile radius to go with the van, I ended up finding this place off yelp. Walking over in the 90 degree heat I was very happy to see a smoker going at 11am and even more thankful for the AC inside. A very small but comfy establishment, and the owner is very nice. I ended up ordering the Rib Dinner with potato salad and baked beans, and needless to say it was everything I wanted and needed. Dont let the 3 ribs dinner deceive you, its a hefty portion for lunch or dinner for 1. The potato salad and baked beans compliment it all. Wash it down with a nice sweet tea. Walter is one of the nicest guys, and if you happen to come in when its just you in the place (good luck) hes worth having a conversation with your meal. Best of luck to him and his new store, Ill be back next time I fly in.

1st time ever eating here. I had a chopped BBQ potato with everything on it and their mild BBQ sauce on the side. Im picky when it comes to BBQ sauces but the sauce was very tasty, I would have it again. The potato was a decent size and the price was very good. Im giving this 4 stars because the shredded cheddar cheese they put on it was a strange consistency and it tasted fake. But I would still eat this again. Also, when i go out to eat im the kind of person who just wants to be left alone till i leave. I was the only person in there at the time and for some reason a lady felt the need to come and bus my table while i was still sitting there. So they are very attentive and some people may like that but it just made me feel like they were rushing me to get out.

Have been visiting establishment since I moved to area 7yrs. ago. Best bets: Ham or ribs. Actually going today to pick up pound of brisket for supper tonite. Best sides: Cole slaw, beans, fried okra. Owner very friendly, always speaks with me with a smile on his face. Hey I even took my mother there when in town visiting, nuff said. 2 thumbs up. Oh, if you visit Tuesday night bring your guitar, they have a mini jam session with everyone seated in big circle. Just sit at your booth and enjoy the free tunes. Super nice people, lady let me play her Martin D28, she didnt know me, was just good people, awesome!

Great bar-b-que! I am a true Texan and very picky about my bar-b-que, these people do it right! Small place, no frills just good food. Best ribs I have eaten in this area. Do they fall off the bone? Nope...but they really shouldnt. They pull easily away from the bone and have that great smoke ring to boot. Seriously good food folks! I have never eaten the brisket(just not a brisket girl) but turkey, chicken, beef, pork and sides pretty tasty. I love their fried okra for a treat! This is our go to place bar-b-que, give it a chance!

I want to give this place a high rating. I really do. They have good food thats usually pretty fresh. The customer service is pretty good, too. Prices are reasonable as well. However, today after having lunch, I went to the restroom. On the floor was a roach. Gross. And it wasnt the big kind some times known as a water bug, that you commonly see around water sources. It was one of the smaller ones you see when things arent as clean as they could be. Needless to say, I wont be returning to Lone Star BBQ.

Heres the thing - the food is great. Really, really good. However, they stop cooking food half an hour before they close, and thats become a huge inconvenience for me. Incidentally, according to their website, they close at 9, 8:30 according to the guy at the drive thru, and 8:45 according to the guy on the phone. Yeesh. My family has been coming here about once a week, but Im afraid well have to find another BBQ joint to make our own (not too hard in this town).

Very good bbq. Sides are the usual fare, nothing special. Indoor dining area is spacious, decor is country. Pleasant to eat in, but not quite the same ambiance as what I call a "BBQ joint". I dont recall hearing country music there, which lends to the bbq joint feel, but maybe it was playing quietly. The dining room has never been crowded while I was there, but they do a big drive-thru business. The bbq is good and worth the trip.

What a shame, and BBQ place in Texas that cant get the meats right and doesnt even know what yams or sweet potatoes are. The meat on my chopped beef sandwich was over 50% coagulated fat and dripping with so much grease it made the bottom bun fall apart when I first picked it up. Line staff are not friendly and are hard to understand. Worst part of all, i felt robbed for how expensive my lunch was given the quality.

This is a fantastic barbecue restaurant. I had a chicken sandwich today with sweet BBQ sauce and my mouth is still watering just thinking about it. The employees are very helpful and all in great moods which makes it easier to spend a little money. However I found the cost to be quite economical as well. If you need a recommendation for a good barbecue place in North Fort Worth Lone Star Barbecue is the one.

Ordered the chopped beef sandwich, very fatty. Customer service was very poor. I went through the drive-thru to order, and once I received my order I had to ask for pickles and onions(most places provide it without asking) not sure if I would have been provided with them without asking had I dined in. The only thing I would recommend order from this place is the onion rings.

First time to visit Lone Star Bar-B-Que and i am very pleased. Quick and friendly service at the drive thru window. Excellent meats (chicken, pulled pork & brisket) especially that chicken mmm mmm. My only issue with my meal is the sauce. I like a sweeter sauce as opposed to the tangy vinegar sauce used here. But all in all it was excellent. I will be going back very often.

Loved the authentic feeling of a BBQ joint. Great prices and plethora of food/meat selections that will satisfy most except the pickiest of vegetarians. The meats were expertly prepared (smoked) and tasted great. As is the pickle bar. We had the pleasure of live music that night and it was an added bonus treat. Would definitely go back again.

Really good food. We went through the drive threw to get dinner. The man at the window took our order quickly and gave us our order shortly after. The food was GREAT. Very tasty and full of flavor. Love that it has a drive threw since our schedule leave little time for dining out. Will definitely return.

Lone Star Bar-B-Que ----- 5 star flavor This place is just amazing. Frito Pie, yes please. The meats are smoked then sliced and prepared right in front of you. Choice of sauce and a pepper salad bar. Wow is all I can say. Dont miss this gem. There was even live music the night we went.

If you havent been to Lone Star BBQ on Tuesday evening, you are really missing something. Old School Blue Grass Jam by local Seniors. While you sit, listen and have some Brisket, fried okra and red beans- and sliced onion and pickles. Thats Texas, thats way Country and thats good.
