Met friends at Winewood for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Unfortunately we were then forgotten about for the next 15 minutes until a manager finally came over and asked if we had been helped. It took another 15 minutes to get drinks, followed by a long wait to order and a longer one to get our food. Two of the orders came out with the wrong side dishes. A ribeye special that was ordered medium came out almost completely uncooked in the center and had to be sent back. My wifes ruby red sea trout entree consisted of the two smallest slivers of fish Ive ever seen served at a restaurant. My seafood linguine had nice shrimp but the shredded gray matter that was supposed to be lump crab meat was pretty much unidentifiable. Whatever it was, flake crab meat, tuna, or other, it was not lump crab meat and had no taste. The bowl was drowned in a thin clear liquid that was nothing like the described tomato base white wine butter broth. I love seafood but didnt bother to finish this dish because it was watery, bland, and unappealing. Our waiter was inattentive and would disappear for long periods of time, sometimes leaving us waiting for a forgotten request or drink order. In my one visit I found Winewood to be over hyped, with decidedly mediocre food and forgetful service. I have zero problem with paying the going rate for a good meal, but this place was a poor value and a disappointment.

Wine selection - outstanding, food - outstanding, atmosphere - outstanding, service at the bar - very bad, not worth going back. Came in about 5:15 PM, about 7 or 8 customers at the bar. Lady bartender was not busy but very difficult getting her attention to order a drink. About 5:40 wanted to order food again very difficult getting bartenders attention. When food came they set it down on the bar (nowhere near where I was). No silverware, no napkins, no follow up to see if we needed anything else. About 6:15 ordered second drink, very difficult for me and many others to get attention of bartender. About 7:30 wanted to pay bill. Bill was brought promptly. Waited 15 minutes bartender did not come back to take my money. Bartender was drinking a soda, chatting with co-workers, looking around and straightening things up, but not waiting on customers. Took check to hostess stand and asked to speak to a manager. Waited 10 minutes, hostess came back and said the manager was busy and could not speak to me. Finally a wait person came to the hostess stand, took my money and brought me my change. Upon getting home I found I was overcharged on the bill and the wait person gave me back too much change.

Its a mixed bag of feelings with this place. 2 small, lightly seasoned chicken breasts for $17. Garlic Mashed potatoes were extra. Thats right, the entree didnt come with any sides. I would have loved to try the steak. Im glad I did not. I would have been sorely dissapointed with the size vs. cost. $35 for an 8oz, sides... extra. The environment was nice but could have used some decorations that absorb sound. A tiny bit noisy. Im all for fine food with cost being an after thought. While Wine Woods food was very tasty, the portions and the cost were not relative to each other. Youre better off hitting up Wildwood or Salt Grass. We wont be going back.

Just visited the new restaurant and was fairly impressed. The decor and atmosphere is very upscale and yet there are high to moderately high items on the menu. I tried the waldorf salad and I think it was $11, but large enough for a meal. The menu was very interesting with lots of unusual offerings. Ill definitely go back. The only thing I didnt like and dont understand is that there is no entrance on the East side. You have to walk a long way around to get to the door. In a rain storm, or this winter, that will be a huge disadvantage and I think will impact their traffic. They really need to add a door on that side where there is so much parking.

We used to enjoy meeting as a group at the bar at Winewood. They became very unfriendly since we were filling the bar with too many people (in the middle of the week). It seems like this would be a good problem to have... lots of people during non- peak times. Is there any nice bar around that would like to have a full bar full of business on a Thursday evening ? I hope so, because we now have many people that will never return to Winewood due to unfriendly service.

Excellent restaurant not far from DFW airport. Winewood serves really good food and is great for work events. I dont recommend having a date night here during the week as it is usually packed and loud. They have a great wine list and decent cocktails. The dessert list is wonderful: I recommend the lemon cake and the creme brulee. Parking is usually tight as there are 4 major restaurants packed into a small complex, use the valet. All in all, good dining experience.

Just went here this past weekend and it was my first time. Ive been to Grapevine a million time and never noticed this place. Their food is awesome! Just wished they offered their brunch specials like their dollar mimosas on Saturdays like they do on Sundays. Our waiter was really nice and very personable. They have really good drinks as well. I saw the order of the cinnamon roll and goodness, its bigger than your face, might need to try that next time I go!

The service was great here! Our appetizers were absolutely amazing. We had the tenderloin bruchetta, spinach dip, and the shrimp remoulade. My Southwest salad was very delicious as well. I did not enjoy the mojito, because it didnt taste like a mojito, but the Moscow mule was delicious. The creme brulee was the most disappointing part. The sugar on top did not crunch at all, and the creme was off. Overall a good experience.

I found this place on my Open Table app. The reviews were very good. We decided to try it out. We were very pleased with the food and service. Ethan was our server and he was amazing. One of the best servers we EVER HAD....and we eat out a lot. I will definitely go back and recommend this place. Service and food were great we had to tell the manager about our great experience. Thank u Winewood. Thank u Ethan!!!

Came here for lunch with my grandfather, we were seated in an appropriate time. It being a wine bar, but lunch time I certainly did not feel awkward ordering a glass of wine. I ordered a Petite Petite Syrah to pair with my perfect grilled cheese sandwich! I am not a pairing connoisseur but both were exactly what I wanted and needed on this cold day! Our waiter was very friendly. Will be back for sure.

The bacon wrapped green beans are not individually wrapped, but still good. The rotisserie chicken was surprisingly dense and not nearly as messy as I feared. My friend was able to get gluten free ribs, as the kitchen was kind enough to use a different sauce. Noise level was perfect - not too quiet or loud. Overall a reliable dinner location for a work dinner, not something Id do on my own dime.
