Good music, extremely poor customer service. My mom and I joined some close family friends to hear a highly touted local act and the waitress immediately approached us, frowning, and asked for my identification when we sat down at the table. Im 20, hadnt ordered anything, wasnt planning on drinking and was with my mom anyway (who can legally serve me according to TABC law.) It was 7 pm and the waitress told me I couldnt stay after 8 pm due to some TABC law in Grapevine. (Which I couldnt find anywhere online afterwards so Im calling BS on that one). When the manager came over to say that we could stay until 8:30, the waitress told the manager and us that she wasnt comfortable serving us and having "a minor" in the restaurant past 8 pm. I felt very unwelcomed, harassed and honestly, humiliated for being publicly told by a waitress that she didnt feel comfortable even serving us dinner AND distrusted just for being a "minor" when Im months away from legal drinking age and hadnt even tried to order anything alcoholic. Also, this "policy" was not posted on the door or on any webpage. Is this what discrimination feels like? I wouldve given it 2 stars just for the quality entertainment but considering how I was treated, Im never going back even when I am of legal drinking age.

Fun atmosphere, but VERY SMOKY, quite like Wilhoites in that regard. If you are a smoker or a non-smoker who is not bothered by smoke, it is fine, but unfortunately I have a very low tolerance for smoke so could only hang to hear one set from the band, called "Just in Tyme". "Just in Tyme" appears to have quite a following. They were alot of fun. The lead singer does an impersonation of Mick Jagger when they are doing Stones covers which is rather entertaining. The guitarist is quite good. We had good service for our party and for the crowd as a whole who were there that night. The food is fairly inexpensive but I thought was sub-par. Ordered a Reuben sandwich, "chintzy" on the meat and saurkraut. This was accompanied by sweet potato fries (get a choice of regular fries, sweet potato fries, or homemade chips, or for $1.00 more, onion rings). The sweet potato fries were cold and soggy, and came with a strange, sweet cinnamon sauce for dipping, which I did not care for at all - wound up just using the usual ketchup. I have had their fried stuffed jalapenos there and they were better than average. Think I would just stick with a good cold beer and some of those next time. Overall, fun atmosphere, good service, but too smoky for me and not a place to go for a meal.

Here HERE!!! You are very informative and correct Justin... Pretty sure he wasnt expecting to be "sauced" as my youngsters have said before when someone had showed them up in front of a group of friends... Thanks for making it perfectly clear... Always chaps me bum when someone "Quotes" something and instead of putting a disclaimer after letting it be known they cld t site it all accurately; they go on making it seem they "Know" it all. Which Im maybe sure that he didnt mean to get it inacurate, he was just trying to make a statement ed point even though it was incorrect. As for the place, its awesome. Absolutely love it. Sometimes it can get a little crowded and such but a lot of fun, food, and refreshments. .. : )

Well this is my go-to place to bring my cigars over from the shop next door and smoke while I drink Guinness. This is a very armed forces friendly bar that somewhat resembles an Irish pub at the same time. The folks are fun, lively but friendly too. On St. Paddys I have to drop in to get the best corned beef plate Ive had in D-FW. The food at Tap In is excellent all around. If you dont like smoke, it might bother you but just keep in mind they ventilate the pub very, very well. Theres live music on weekends usually and the servers will make you feel like family.

Jay, you should read the law before you try to cite it. Sec.106.04. CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL BY A MINOR (a) A minor commits an offense if he consumes an alcoholic beverage. (b) It is an affirmative defense to prosecution under this section that the alcoholic beverage was consumed in the visible presence of the minors adult parent, guardian, or spouse. They only part you were correct on is that a bar can refuse to serve whoever they like, meaning they do not have to allow the minor to consume in parents presence. But a minor can legally consume in view of parent or guardian.

Server was very knowledgeable and efficient. Good selection of on tap beer. I had a great turkey bacon avocado melt and sweet potato fries (perhaps more than great, its one of those that I may eventually crave). Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. Atmosphere was casual. Was there on a Friday with live music, the crowd and the band were fun. They do allow smoking (cigarette and cigar) so if you are looking for smoke free this place isnt for you.

I have been a regular at Tap In for several months and have to say that the atmosphere is so "Cheers" like. The wait staff is extremely friendly and attentive. My favorite thing on the menu is the homemade potato chip nachos. HUGE serving I might add. You will be hooked once you try them. Do not forget that the other menu items are fab as well. I understand they also cater. I definitely would say give "Tap In" a try. D.B.

I walked in and was so overwhelmed by the smell of stale smoke and spilled beer I nearly left. Instead, I bucked it up, kept my asthma in check long enough to order an over-priced beer then went and sat on the sidewalk out front. It is a charming place and were it not for the smoke, Id likely return every time Im in Grapevine. However, I wont until the smoking is abolished.

COME HERE! My wife and I along with about about 10 other military couples came here recently. The owner, staff, the band and other customers showed us a huge amount of support. The staff even went out of the way to show the military spouses that they were supported. Drinks, Food, and atmosphere were all awesome. Well definitely be back.

i love the tap in! Always great service. And to the poor misinformed young lady, according to TABC it is against the law to give ANY person under 21 alcohol even if it is your child. And a bar has the right to require its patrons to be of age to be there. So you shouldnt get your young panties in a bunch.

If you are in Grapevine and want to enjoy a great meal Tap-In is the place. It is hard to order because everything is so good. The live music makes for a fun night out. They always have great bands. Plenty of TVs to watch the games. Overall friendly atmosphere to eat and hang out with friends.

This place is pretty cool. They have great food and pretty good service. They lose one star for two reasons; their prices are a little high and it is always loud. I also dont like when they have a live band but thats just a preference. I love going here mid day to have a cigar when I am in town.
