There is a very good reason why this place has overwhelmingly positive reviews. It is just that good. Havent had something there I didnt like. The London Fog tea is hands down the best tea drink Ive ever had. The only not so good thing is this one guy that works there. Ive never seen him in a good mood. He always looks like he doesnt want to be there and its reflected in his attitude. Im not going to say what he looks like but youll know who he is if he serves you. However this is a very small issue and he could just be very anti-social. All in all this is by far one of my favorite places on the island and definitely my favorite place to get coffee anywhere.

Took a day trip to Galveston with my husband and the July heat had us craving some good iced coffee. Found MOD on Google as an area favorite and decided to check it out. Seemed pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon, but the service was friendly, there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. I ordered the Iced White Mocha and my husband had the Iced Squirrel. We also got one of the bars from the pastry case which was delicious. The lattes were just the right balance of flavor and espresso, highly impressed! Good quality coffee, friendly service, and a chill atmosphere make this a hit. Id be a regular if I lived in Galveston!

Beautiful shop with lots of beach-town local ambiance, including helpful ads for local activities posted. Great selection of coffee and other drinks with other food. Relatively spacious with outdoor seating and indoor seating including a fun loft. On the Saturday afternoon I visited, parking nearby was available for a small charge payable by phone or at a pay station. A friend in the study group I was joining, who lives in the area, reported there was free parking only a couple blocks away. Close to lots of interesting restaurants, shops, art galleries, etc. that I would like to return and visit sometime.

When the safety issues are fixed i will change my star rating. I was walking into the big room when I fell down a step that wasnt marked with safety tape. When a person wears trifocals peripheral surroundings arent obvious. I reactivated an old strain that had just healed a week prior. This strain will get progressively worse over the next few days - as it always does - keeping me home from work for about 2 weeks. In addition can you use something other than Fabuloso to clean your floors? It is the most asthma inducing chemical.

Without question, the best cup of coffee in town. MOD provides you with the best friendly service on the island, with a deep rooted Galvestonian feel that can not be matched. If youre looking for a common cup of Joe, then Starbucks is your place, but if youre looking for a smooth cup of coffee, with a homey feeling, an intellectual atmosphere, and an island touched charm, then MOD is your spot! Its one of the best kept local secrets on this side of the Boulevard! (Broadway that is) ;)

Perfect place for an after dinner cappuccino. I loved the ambience and the decor. They have a trust me option and my s.o. really liked it. He asked afterwards what they put it in and one of the ingredients was lavender! Super unique. My dad who is ridiculously picky about coffee was an instant fan. He just got a regular coffee (black). I ordered a cappuccino and it was PERFECT! Giant cup and lots of foam. If I lived here, I would be at this coffee shop all the time.

Walked here on our first morning in town based on yelp recomendations. The atmosphere here is great. The inside seating is entertaining, with art on the walls and tables. Outside seating is available and pleasant as well. Soy and almond milk alternatives are available. My girlfriend got the medium roast coffee with soy milk and really liked it. I got the chai, but didnt care for the strong taste of honey. We shared a piece of coffee cake, which was excellent.

I saw the great reviews, so I tried to purchase a gift card for a friend. I was told to call back- TWICE- when the customers inside the shop werent busy waiting. Im sure the place is great (which explains the line), but we are just as much paying customers as the busy people in line. Im normally not one to give bad reviews, but this was not a happy experience for me.

I drive an hour once a week for a coffee date with my mom here. Its our favorite. The coffee is great: its never served piping hot like at other places so you can start enjoying as soon as you get it. The foam is the best ive ever had i never really cared for foam before Mod. The options are both original and delicious. And the pastries are amazing and fresh too.

This is my go to place when on the island! Unlike my luck with bartenders, every time this barista says "trust me," she never does me wrong. Ive never been in the morning, and many of the baked goods are so legendary that they can only be purchased first thing in the morning after standing in line. BUT every sweet Ive had here has been sinfully delicious.

Its a nice little coffee shop in Galveston for studying or chatting with friends. Its a little quiet since one of the rooms dont have any background music. That can get a little awkward. The iced coffee from what I saw is from Katz Coffee. If you have an iced coffee in house they serve it in a cute mason jar!

Wow! Our hotel concierge suggested this gem of a coffee shop to us when we asked for a unique local cafe. Our expectations were exceeded! One of the best coffee shops in have ever been to. The "Holly" latte was very tasty and the snacks were amazing, especially the peanut butter bar. Well definitely be back!

Were always looking for new locally owned ventures to support, even while on vacation, and Mod didnt disappoint. Their coffees have more flavor,a re less bitter and the shop provides a really enjoyable, kick back atmosphere. Im enjoying a grasshopper and Im thinking about going back for seconds...

What a fabulous little place! The drinks are perfect, the atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and unique, and the art on the walls is inspiring. The people who work here couldnt be nicer or more accommodating. WiFi is free as well. If you havent been here, you simply must try it. Youll be hooked!

Good coffee, unlimited iced tea and an awesome atmosphere. MOD is a great coffee shop with multiple spaces to meet your needs; seating is provided inside by the bustling coffee bar, in an adjoining room for more focused work and up in a comfy nook, and outside beneath shady trees.
