I had high hopes for this restaurant but it was a huge disappointment, and they dont get any leeway for just having opened since Eggsellent and Starwood Cafe (which are the same company) have 6 other locations. Once we were seated, our drink orders werent taken for a good 10 minutes. The waiter put all 5 of our drinks in front of me and made me figure out where they go, and did not give us any straws before he ran away without taking our food orders. It was another 10 minutes until he came back to take our food orders. Our food took another 25 minutes to come out (now 45 minutes since weve been here). The portion sizes are much smaller than Starwood, which, again, is the same restaurant with an identical menu, except that Starwoods prices are 10% less. My wife ordered the mixed berries. For $4, she got a shot-glass-sized ramekin that had 1 strawberry, 2 raspberries, and 2 blackberries. They really charged us $4 for that. I ordered the traditional with bacon and asked for the bacon to be made crispy. After the 45-minute-long wait, my bacon was almost raw. I told the waiter and he asked "do you want to send it back?" Why would I be pointing it out if I didnt want to send it back? It took an additional 10 minutes to correct the bacon, so now almost an hour to get my food. Once we got our food, the waiter never came back. None of us got drink refills. I kept looking around to see where the waiter was, and the entire time, he was standing by the point-of-sale computer either doing nothing or chatting with a waitress. I think this waiter has never worked in a restaurant before, and the restaurant clearly has not trained him and does not manage their staff, since an alert manager would not permit their waiters to be standing around doing nothing.

Meh, Ive experienced better. The restaurant seemed very disorganized for a crowd. Its a long and narrow space with guests crowding near the entrance waiting for a table. Add to that a "pay at the counter" policy, and you have a recipe for needless confusion. I had a skillet and my wife had a Crepe combo. Both seemed to be pre-prepared given how fast they were served and how bland they were. I actually sent my skillet back since it just seemed half-assed, and got an omelet instead. The owner and staff all were very helpful in replacing my food, but did not seem to understand my desire for something fresh. When I asked if the skillet had been prepared, you know *in a skillet*, they seemed surprised that I asked and described their process more like a stack. I can just imagine their setup in the kitchen with a line of chafing dishes, putting in a little hash browns, a little meat, throw some cheese and a sprinkling (yuck) of pre-scrambled eggs on top. If Im going to pay you $10 for a skillet, do me the courtesy of preparing it fresh for me. The house hot sauce was very tasty, but beware the bottle. Its not the kind that you can just splash a few drops on your eggs. It will pour out full force. Just FYI. All in all, the food was blah, the staff were nice, and the business was disorganized. Its not the worst place in the world, but you can certainly do better, and should.

I grew up in NJ, going to the many 24 hour diners with the huge menus and amazing food. It was more than comfort food, it was a place of comfort. You could sit with a cup of coffee at 3am or 3pm. You knew the people, and more importantly they knew you. You were amongst friends. Thats what the Eggsellent Cafe is like. If you are there for the first time or tenth, Ray will greet you like a friend. Busy or quiet, everyone makes sure you know that youre their priority. Your server - Fernando is my fav - wont be the only one to offer a smile and coffee refill (and their coffee is amazing). They will soon know your name, and youll be finding yourself driving towards this little cafe anytime youre hungry before 3pm. The food is awesome; the Meat Lovers skillet, Migas (with their house hot sauce) and the Party Melt (add some bacon) are some of my favorites. You should come join the family at Eggsellent Cafe - breakfast & lunch (finally) done right in North DFW.

A quaint bistro with a small diner feeling. The staff were all incredibly attentive; this being our first visit to the establishment - they took their time and answered any questions we had, including their favorites in the place. The MASSIVE burger with fried eggs, ham slices and avacado was incredible (see my photo) and I highly recommend this choice. The place was clean and quiet, even though business was not slow. Staff carried themselves well and everything had a "mom and pop" owned feeling to it; the staff all seemed very tight knit and friendly to each other. The hours are short.. only breakfast and early lunches... but what does that really say about them? Any place in the food service industry that can afford to pick and choose the days and hours they want to be open is obviously doing well and they are doing well for a reason: the food is quite good and the experience is well worth it. 5 stars.

We have enjoyed nothing less than the absolute best customer service and care that weve experienced in any restaurant anywhere in these continental United States since our first of multiple visits to this fine establishment. The proprietor, Brian, and his staff all do their very best to make sure that you feel welcome and right at home. The breakfast is served nice and hot, accurate to order and quickly. And it tastes good too. The atmosphere is also very family friendly and relaxed.

The staff are very friendly, with a servants attitude. The menu is varied for breakfast and lunch. The food comes out hot an delicious. The restaurant is bright and clean. Its a bit noisey so dont think youll have quiet conversations, but considering everything else, Ill eat first and talk later. Ill be going back often. Oh, there was a bit of wait (20 min) but they have outside benches to relax on. Its worth the wait.

Awesome local place! From the moment of greeting to the moment you leave, the staff/owners are not just friendly and attentive but openly appreciative of your business. The coffee and food is very good...I had the French toast with berries on this last visit. Delicious! Reasonably priced, bright and clean, and conveniently located. So happy to have this breakfast and lunch spot in west Frisco!

EVERY single time my 3 children and I come here we recieve 5 star service. I often want to request my previous server, but the next is always just as better. I have no clue how service seems to get BETTER with growth but Im thankful for each welcoming smile and warm conversation. Not to mention the breakfast/brunch is hands down best in North DFW! Love the Eggsellent Family!

Based purely on the service alone, 5 stars. I never had to ask for more coffee, order was quick and well-prepared and very good. Service, service, service. That made this place for me and the chicken and waffles and eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy were all excellent as well and well-priced. Come by here or head to the Carrollton one. Youll love it.
