My wife and I came across this place by chance a few years ago and recently started going back for the great seafood tacos and boiled shrimp despite the 55 minute drive from Friendswood (Southeast Houston). I do a lot of volunteer work and one organization does an annual shrimporee. I wanted them to upgrade their shrimp so I made a special trip to Pier 30 just to pick up a couple pounds for them to try as an example. Next thing I know they are asking me to get pricing for 900 pounds. I asked to see a manager while I was there last time (they werent busy at all) but they couldnt be bothered...said the dishwasher called off so they were washing dishes. What? Dishes are more important than customers? I chalked it up and called during off hours to speak with manager. None was available so they took info and said theyd call back. No call back. I sent direct message on Facebook but no response. I called one more time tonight and told them I needed help with volunteer group and possibly wanted to order or talk about getting 900 pounds of boiled shrimp. They said owner was there and theyd get him. They came back and said owner wasnt interested in big orders. What kind of place puts off customers like this? Yes, they have the right not to do large orders and I understand but not have the decency to at least talk to me for 5 minutes. Crazy! If this is theyre approach to customers, I can only imagine what else behind the scenes isnt important to them. Wont be making that long trip anymore.

I ordered a kids hamburger meal. After waiting 40mins to receive our food, I saw that it was really big for a kids burger but it was our first time there to order kid burgers there, so I didnt know what to expect until we got our bill and was charged for an adult burger meal. I mentioned it to our waitress and she went and asked for the adjustment difference but was turned down by the cook. So Im not sure if it was the waitress fault or the cooks fault but in the end I payed for an adult size burger plate for my 4 year old.

I had 2 days of flights cancelled because of the weather from hot springs,AR because of weather. I finally made it down to see my husband working in Freeport, tx and I was so craving the oysters from Pier 30. We got here at 10 minutes after the kitchen closed. I asked for the manager to feed us. My husband works 12 shifts and was starving as was I for oysters. Casey the manager made it happen for us. Were happy customers!! I love this place!

The bartender was not having a good day and therefore took it out on me. I asked for two beers and got an attitude instead. They couldnt handle the pressure and decided it was easier to handle customers by throwing them out. Id rather drive to a bar in Houston than go to pier 30 ever again, thats how bad it is; that I rather drive 50 miles. Retrain your employees or get new ones, a lot of people were upset.

This looks like a great place to be at during the summer days/nights. I got a soda and right away found a little black thing on the ice and something guyee inside the cup. I than ordered 6 Jumbo Shrimp and found a hair on the breaded part of the shrimp. Other than that the oysters where really good and the fried pickles are yummy with a little kick of spice!

Service was horrible, bartender cant make a drink, the food was wrong, they forgot half our food, the appetizers came out with our food instead of before our food. The beer was hot, they waited 30 mins to tell us they were out of stuff, Im sorry but we wont be coming back to this place, it was our first time and it will be our last

Great food, cold beer and a packed house during Lone Star Rally, but thats because T.J. is in the kitchen with his staff, making sure all the orders are cooked fresh and served hot, or cold, depending on what youve ordered. This has been a must stop by for us for over 6 years now & always a good time! Oh, T.J. gives good hugs too!

Food was good but our waitress was SO rude. We showed up with a group of people and she seemed irritated we were even there. I guess she doesnt want to make money! Our friends at another table waited well over an hour and still didnt get their food. Nice view and good location though. The jumbo shrimp were really good.

Service is not that great. It would take us forever to get what we ordered. The drinks werent made right. The wait staff was nice just didnt have enough people to b able to get everything out in good time. They need a new bartender whoever made drinks wasnt very good at it

Working here originally from Wisconsin, felt at home both times we visited. Sara is an amazing bartender we were never left waiting for service. Had crab legs and shrimp poboy, both were good. We will be back while were here. Thanks Sara for the great service!!

Pier 30 has the best food. The shrimp is amazing and the cheeseburger was the best cheeseburger Ive ever had. Very high quality food. Pricing is good. And service was friendly. If youre ever in the area, you should definitely stop in here for a meal.

Been here several times, bartenders behind the bar, look at you and ignore you. Waited over 20 minutes for a drink, ask two separate waitresses and still no drink. If you arent with a crowd, dont expect to be waited on

Amazing place!! Nice environment. Great Bloody Marys and crawfish. Friendly waitressFullAccessTest. My group came in from out of town and were absolutely satisfied. Definitely will come back.
