I quit eating at Popeyes because the food was nasty the last 3 times I had eaten it. It was great in the 70s when they first came to Houston but poor in the 80s and 90s and I never tried it again till 2012. My wife wanted some red beans and rice and only at Popeyes... we were in the neighborhood and my wife pointed out that they had a line wrapped around the building so maybe this Popeyes was a good one. What the heck... I ordered chicken and her beans and rice. Wow... I found a Popeyes that is actually good again. This restaurant is about 40 miles from where I live so we are going to try the one on Memorial drive near Dairy Ashford tonight and see if its as good. Update...2014. This is THE best Popeyes. Memorial is ok, hwy 6 is better, edgebrook is ok, the new one on Westheimer is pretty good but they need to change their oil so the chicken tastes a bit better...Porter is awesome everytime weve been there.

My husband stopped in to pick up a 16 piece meal. When he arrived home and opened the box of chicken we were surprised with an 11 piece meal. Beware!!! The employees either can not count or use the rush time crowd as an opportunity to rip off consumers. Dont bother trying to call this establishment, they do not answer the phone. The quality of the food was not worth the $35. We will not give this place any future business.

Drive through machine was broke with a sign saying to order at the window. So I pull up to the window and sit there for 5 minutes with no one there to take the order. I go to pull forward to walk in instead and I are a girl look around the corner as if shes too shy to say anything so I back, back-up to the window and to my surprise, she never comes to say anything. Avoid this place, better food elsewhere

This store is notoriously bad getting orders correct but this time...a box of 12 pcs had 6 wings. I called the store and no mgr on duty. The girl claimed she remembered packing the box and argued with me. She said I could save the box and bring the food back tomorrow. Took a picture of the pieces of chicken with the receipt. Now to show the manager.

The Popeyes in Porter is excellent. I do not know how much the food quality varies between the various franchises, but the one in Porter is very very good. Best fried chicken in the Houston area. Popeyes just opened a new restaurant in Kingwood, we will try it, but no way it can be better than the one in Porter.

Came here because my wife wont some chicken there was boomed inside when I drove up I thought that you would get in and out but you know that that not going to happen 4cars in the drive Thu and it take 30min just to order

Terrible service. The employees are so rude. There machine is always broken to order. They always mess up my order. The food is good but the service is terrible I would not recommend this Popeyes ever
