When I invited my mum, to go to this Makoto Sushi I was extremely impressed. The rolls menu was filed up and I can honestly say eating tuna rolls was a great experience and would love to go back again. The atmosphere was great to talk in and eat. I ordered one of the Udon noddle soups, and boy was I impressed by the massive noddles, I enjoyed the poached egg it had, the crab. Also the miso soup was one of the best I have tried. I have had miso soup in many restaurants, and was hoping I could get more. but maybe next time. The green tea, was a great drink to also compliment the food. I also have to compliment on the sushi maker, Daniel, he was respectful to the guests and was great at what he did. Although some other women were flirting with him, he still kept his respect and did not flirt back. I indeed recommend going, if you dont mind a small wait on great food.

The service here is terrible. This is the first time in nearly two decades that I have left no tip for the wait staff. First and foremost the waitress that was assigned to my table probably has never been a waitress anywhere, nor does she have any experience with sushi or Japanese food. Ordinarily that is forgivable but on top of that she botched our orders so badly and we were overcharged in the process. I guess the thing that upset me the most is how rude she was with my wife when we had the audacity to ask questions about the menu. The food itself is okay. The El Paso phenomenon of trying to put cream cheese and almost every roll is still there, but you can find some actual sushi on the menu if you look hard. I would suggest looking down the street at Koze if you want a better experience.

Very disappointed, Ive been there a few times with friends, and went with my family recently, the sushi was great, but the service was horrible, chef was extremely rude for an order mix up, which the waitress took, when the second order came out, the order was less presentable and could see the lack in effort to make it taste as good as the other order which we didnt even try. When we asked for the check, the chef proceeded to yell in a very angry manner to us, in front of other customers.. VERY VERY disrespectful for something that could have been handled in an adult manner and not a childish one. The employees were hesitant to let us speak to the manager. Never going back there again.

Having read the reviews we figured if nothing else the food would be good. It was GREAT and the service was TERRIFIC. The portions were a little less than we would expect in California (6 pieces verses 8) but you would expect either higher prices or smaller portions being this far inland. Sushi was terrific and our Swabby turned Soldier raved about the Mackerel saying I thought I was back in Yokohama. As a sushi regular visiting out of state family I highly recommend this place. And the Chef that was panned so badly was lovely to us Haoles, even with our fussing grandson in tow.

their sushi is very good but very pricey I give two stars because this place is never open on time! been numerous times at 1130, people are inside but wont open up, went today at 1230 and completely closed! not to mention the times Ive actually been able to get in the service is straight awful, the cashier lady just walks around doing nothing, if I get mine to go it will literally sit on the counter for 10-15min before she bags it and gives it to me

I dont know what u guys r talking about with the bad service. We came in, where greeted and served AND im a black guy! my girlfriend is Mexican and our kids have minority written all over them. Food was awsome sauce! The only reason I dont give em 5 stars is because the cook wasnt in so all we could choose was sushi, which luckily for them is what we wanted.

Wow.. inexpensive, big plates, fast service, unique sushi and plates, nice and chill environment. I highly recommend this place for lunch and will be coming back for sure!! The sweet eel wrap blew my mind! The spinach salad that came nice and put together with my teriyaki beef just left me speechless! Will be back!!

This place is awesome...it reminds me of Imperia from Austin,TX . Fresh and authentic flavors. Nice clean ambience, owner made our sushi . He was nice to my husband and I. Some of these reviews say the owners are rude, but even if they had been to us we wouldnt have cared. This is def. Our new fave spot :-)

If you are into REAL SUSHI... then this is your place. The location my look other wise but dont judge a book by its cover. The sushi is the freshest Ive had. The sushi "creator" knows and LOVES his job. If you eat here once you will definitely be back! Tell him Chris sent you!!! You wont be disappointed!!!

First time here and Danny made me feel like I was an old friend. Everything he made was off the chart and if youve seen how many places Ive been between Alaska to New York city its not that easy to impress me. If you like sushi then you never eaten here because here you will LOVE sushi!

Great place for creative sushi rolls. If you want standard, typical sushi they have it, but where it really shines is with their unique rolls. Ask for the "Chefs Choice" to experience something different, yet incredibly delicious.

4 tables all waiting for service and the dude at the front didnt even say hi or we will be right with you. We walked out when the guy finally came out and went to mess with the radio instead of give menus and take drink orders.

The sushi didnt taste fresh. The employees displayed bad customer service and the manager didnt seem to understand my concern on fresh fish. I asked for my refund and they said they couldnt give me a refund.

Great Sushi! The place is small but that adds to the ambiance. The sushi chef is friendly and approachable. The miso soup is wonderful and the sushi very fresh. Try the Adrenaline roll

They have really good deals and specials during the weekday but its not really worth a visit otherwise. The rolls range from 10-18 dollars and the fish isnt always that great
