I placed an order over the phone and ordered the make it yourself burrito( w/queso on the side - INCLUDED) and guaq & sour cream as my sides (ALSO INCLUDED) for $8 and change. I got there and my bill was $16!! Seriously! I was so hungry I didnt have time to argue and wait!! I got back to hotel and sauce was NOT on the side it was on the burrito and extra on the side! They charged me for a larger burrito (I DID NOT ORDER) and sides that were included! Food was cold, they said be ready in 10-15 minutes, I was there in 10! WOW REALLY!!!??? Very disappointed! I probably will go to the Mexican restaurant down the street next time!

I have been there several times for lunch. I have been lucky enough to have the same waitress every time. I wish I could remember her name, because she is awesome. The food has been top notch as well, except for the fish tacos. I decided to try something new. They were not my thing. It was not a problem with quality, just a bad decision on my part. It is always immaculately clean. I have even seen the manager helping out on the floor. I give it a solid recommendation. FYI, when you leave do not go out the south exit. There is a huge road hump that will hit the bottom of the chassis if you are in a car.

El Chico is absolutely the best restautant my wife and I have ever been to!! The staff is extra nice and they got my picky order right!! The Cinco Enchiladas is my favorite. Lots of food for a great price no matter what you get!! The guacamole is made fresh right there at your booth/table. The salsa is great and they also special made extra spicy salsa just for us!! They kept our drinks full too!! Very clean place!! We were just visiting Desoto for work but we will definitely eat here every chance we get!!

Good customer care experience, small portions, environment felt more like a sports bar than a Mexican restaurant. Lots of bricks inside attempts to provide a traditional country-side view without much success. Walk-in provides an I your face bar experience. Food wise, it was okay but not fantastic, fajitas were just good, lacking a wow factor found on authentic Mexican restaurants across the border and cities like Austin and San Antonio.

My experience here was top notch. I really admired the observation of the manager, Mr. Tim Wood. He watched the restaurant and walked around and was greeting each guest. We had a short conversation and I thanked him as my husband and I left the restaurant. I plan to come back to this location again. Based on what I saw, he seems to be a great person to work with. Our food was great as well.

The meal and drink are ok. However the service is little out of balance. Our waitress serves only one area and responsibilities for serves drink at the same time. I applaud for her sevice. However. For what im observation to other waitress area there 5 people that working together as team and not with our waitress. Which is why it called unbalance they serves frist and faster but our slow.

If I wanted food that tasted like microwaved Mexican dinners I would went to walmart to buy one for 1.99 instead of paying 20+ dollars for it. Smh if I could have given less than a star I would have. The service sucks as well. I will NEVER go back there. But by all means go try it for yourself. You may have a different experience than I did and your tastebuds may be different than mine.

Food has always been good, been coming for over 12 years. Service, continues to be bad. They can have 5 tables and youll still stand at the front for 10 minutes waiting to be seated. I have discussed this with the manager half a dozen times. We have given them MANY chances...still the same problem...$1000s of dollars later, we will never return.

Ordered over the phone and when I arrived was immediately addressed. The gentleman who assisted me, who I presumed was the manager, quickly directed his staff to complete my order. The food was amazing and the only complaint, (which is not really a complaint) was that they gave me too many chips along with my meal.

We had to get up get our own silverware and straws. As Im typing this still nobody came by except the manager.i ordered an appetizer and it was cold. Ill take it home and heat it up though. Slow restaurant and nice atmosphere.

In my opinion the best bang for your buck Tex-Mex in the Desoto/Lancaster area. The prices, tea, chips, salsa, and service are pretty good. I will definitely keep returning.
