We absolutely love the food at Vietnam Restaurant. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the staff are always friendly. For several years, we lived nearby, and had dinner from Vietnam on a regular basis. Over the past several years, we have probably had 115 of the 130 items on the menu. The spring rolls and eggrolls are wonderful, and the chicken crepe appetizer is great - full of chicken and bean sprouts, with a flavorful crepe exterior. Get the chicken crepe if you are looking for something different – not just another egg- or spring roll. Choose the eggroll if you love fried foods – the roll is flavorful and full of meat and noodles. Served with fresh leaf lettuce and cilantro, the crisp salad greens are a nice juxtaposition from the hot and crispy eggroll. We also love the lemongrass beef, #130. Its essentially "beef roll-ups", with lean roast beef wrapped around lemon grass in a cigar shape and grilled. Accompaniments include sliced tomatoes, cucumber, fresh jalapeno, and pickled carrot and jicima or radish. The lemongrass beef would be a great addition to a party buffet. Anything with the grilled pork is also fabulous! The pork is thinly sliced (about the thickness of Canadian bacon) and grilled - its smoky, with crispy edges. Get it atop a Vermicelli bowl, or on top of sticky rice with a fried egg. The egg dish sounds sort of scary, but is an incredible take on bacon, eggs, and toast, and just tastes like the perfect comfort food. The plate comes with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, and pickled carrot and jicima, along with a great sauce. Finally, don’t overlook the Pho. Our favorite is the #87 – beef broth with chicken. The beef broth is flavorful, clear, and nearly fat-free. Thin noodles and large slices of chicken breast nestle in the bowl with a few green onions. The soup arrives with a side plate of bean sprouts, lime wedges, jalapeno, basil and cilantro to add as desired. It’s so good it’s better than homemade.

I had ordered food the other night and the order was misplaced. After an hour I called in to check status. The owner called me directly back personally and apologized fully for the mix up. He even threw in a couple extra spring rolls on my order. Mistakes/errors happen but nobody is perfect so I wasnt even angry to begin with. The food finally arrived after about an hour and a half total and was well worth the wait as it was great. The simple gesture of the owner calling me back personally and apologizing for the error won me back as a repeat customer. The food was great as well and Id suggest to anyone looking for good Vietnamese food. Very, very pleased customer.

This was once a hole in the wall Vietnamese place. The decor has definitely taken an upgrade, so thats nice. Im Vietnamese, so Im a bit particular about the Asian food I buy. I can confirm Vietnam Restaurant is pretty authentic, and not only the American Asian Food you typically see. The pho is clutch on a cold or rainy day. The egg rolls are by far the best Ive had at an Asian restaurant. They definitely seem hand-made/rolled and fried, rather than just the frozen bulk stuff you get from cheap Asian places. Easily my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas and nice that its tucked away right near Uptown/Downtown and not some obscure Asian stripcenter in the burbs.

I started my diet. Again, I was told that Vietnamese food are pretty good choice. So I tried Vietnam restaurant. I ordered the tofu rolls as a start. They served it fast and it comes with peanut sauce, i mixed it with spicy sauce and dip it in... It was good, Very Good. Then I received my chicken noodle soup, which arrived at the perfect timing, You can tell its made from scratch right there. It was fresh and tasty. The waiter was quick and helpful and the place looks nice. The price was very reasonable for what you are getting. I dont know how good all those noodle will be for my diet, but I will defiantly go back!!

Ive been eating here for about 2 years. I love the pho but compared to bistro b its the best. the service is not grand because I am vietnamese they do not give me the same treatment. so to all asians who are going to eat there. they are extremely rude and the water tastes like metal. the renovations are coming well but they still dont have a lock on their restroom door. if you want true tasting pho go to pho bang.. it is in garland so youll have to travel. and pho doan is superb as well they even give a complitemary tofu soup. very tasty and sweet and healthy!

I ate at Vietnam Restaurant last night (4/27/2010) and was very impressed by both the quality of the service as well as the cuisine. The crowd ebbed and flowed but contained a lot of Vietnamese, which is a good sign for a Vietnamese restaurant. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and quite fast. I sampled the pork spring rolls (oh my God), the meatball pho (wow) and a few other appetizers, and it was all fresh, hot where appropriate, well-prepared, looked great, and was quite fragrant. I would definitely hit this place again, Im very impressed.

We just moved in down the street, and decided to try this place out. The atmosphere is very chill, but it looks very nice with the historic tiled ceiling and modern curvy chairs. The vermicelli was very good, with succulent grilled pork. My BF got an egg white, and sode drink that was reminiscent of a gin fizz without the gin, very refreshing! The crispy duck was out of this world!! Perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat. It comes cut up, but is definitely the whole duck, they dont skimp on the dish. We will absolutely be back!!

I have been coming here for 5 years now, very loyally. This is hands down the best service (family atmosphere), best pho, and location around Dallas. They are always so friendly, and they know my order, even when Im ordering over the phone for pick up. I moved further away and tried other placesband seriously, none compare. They do NOT skimp on the veggies (I.e. bean sprouts, Thai basil) and have the order ready no later than 10 mins. I now go out of my way to come here. My favorite place to eat in Dallas. You wont regret.

This location is very secluded part of town. The food and service is always fast, too fast. They brought out my food along with my green tea boba at the same time and I wanted it as a dessert after I ate my food. There is a language barrier between customers and servers. Once you order, you get your ticket and pay upfront. They take their time to come to the table so you can order but once you order they dont really check up on you. They have a bar but it doesnt look like they use it or keep it up to date with TABC.

I had never tried Vietnamese food before, and my brother wanted something different so we decided to stop in here. The staff was very friendly and helpful considering I recognized nothing on the menu. The food was really tasteful and healthy which I really enjoyed. The waiters were cute as well which made the experience that much better. It was a really cool experience and good food I would definitely go back. If you havent tried it I would definitely recommend. The prices were not to bad either.
