As a health conscious person who doesnt forget their munche roots and experiences, this place is the best. I wish there was a place like this everywhere. You can get ONE veterinarian dish with steamed veggies and EXTRA steamed rice (like 4) and feed a family of four cheap, delivered... and healthy. If you have munchie cravings or you have the desire yep you can go all-out with the fried foods. Read this: they change their oil regularly, which must cost them money but it matters. Nothing stale. THAT MATTERS. And the Egg Rolls? Nothing to speak of. I will say it... they wont melt your soul into gold. BUT they are good as you could expect and wont find a fault in, understand? and... inexpensive. So with that said they are perfect. Not sublime, but always perfect. Not overcrispy. No wilted or almost-bad veggies. You could eat yourself out of a crate of these and burp slightly and go on your merry way. Its a hole-in-the-wall and its awesome. During peak they are hard pressed because of the location but for Dallas, heck, for Texas, EggrollHut is a place others should take note to. If you are local you cannot get any better food. If you are distant its time to figure if the drive or wait for delivery is worth it, which in itself is enough IMHO. Atmosphere? Well look at the area. They do their best, its not their fault they are where they are.

Ordered delivery...was super awesome! Theres not much Chinese delivery in this area (lots of Thai, very little Americanized Chinese) and I was really craving some Egg Foo Yung. I have passed this place before and it does look super sketchy, plus the Yelp reviews werent favorable. However the reviews here on Google made me take a chance and Im glad I did. Delivery was fast, food was hot and I got crab rangoon (Theirs was delicious and came with a generous amount of sweet and sour sauce for dipping, which was a nice compliment. Even had pineapples in it, like it should!) and the Egg Foo Yung was HUGE. Two enormous cakes. Definitely enough to split. I ate the leftovers for dinner the next day and was stuffed. All for under $14? Win. Will definitely be ordering from this place again!

I should have known that if I could smell the dumpster from the time I stepped out of my car to the front door that I was in for trouble. I always give local places a shot though and went against my reservations (channeling my inner Bourdain) and ordered the pepper steak. The time to create such a massive portion of food was astonishing (literally THREE pounds of steak and peppers in under 15 minutes), something wasnt right. So I took it home and found it barely appetizing to look at and even less so eating it. I confess I only had a fork-full and I didnt contract food poisoning, but I can honestly say Im never going back. Dont believe the hype the other reviewers posted, this place needs to be avoided like the plague, cuz you might actually catch it at the Eggroll Hut.

The first time I ate here the food was awful! I asked for delivery and the food arrived very burnt, needless to say I gave it away. The second time I ordered was almost 2 years ago, which was just yesterday. I decided to order from them after seeing a lot of good reviews. I asked for the general tso chicken which was ok, but a little overdone and beef and broccoli. The smell of the beef and broccoli was DREADFUL. It smelled disgusting, like it was rotting or even worst not beef!! The beef had a slimy coating on it. I called and complained and asked if I could have another dish, and they had the nerve to charge me the difference to get fried rice and chicken, needless to say I will NEVER order from them again!!

Although they do give you a TON of food and service was fast and pleasant, I would not recommend. Firstly, the smell of a mop and bleach was so strong when i first walked in, it was more than a little alarming and off-putting. But it couldve been just because it was close to the end of the night, so I overlooked it. However, the "chicken" in the chicken fried rice was "suspicious" in my opinion and experience with chicken fried rice. I dont know if it was old, a pork/chicken blend or what but it was not good! As for the house egg rolls, Id have to agree with another reviewer, it tasted weird. I spit it out IMMEDIATELY! I will say the fortune cookie was ON POINT though!! Small wins - count them!

I have been going to this place for 35 years. It was closed at one time due to a fire. Seen it go through 3 families. Recently it was sold to another family. They are more talkative. YES! the place is LONG over due for a facelift. But I keep going back for the following reasons 1. the portions. Enough for 2 or more. 2. The BEST combination fried rice. 3.Fast service. 4. hours of business. 5. soft serve ice cream. 6. Price is the best in town! They tend to go through different cooks. So if food is not right I just ask and they tell me new cook. I dont like that now they sell cheap items at the counter. It looks too much like a flea market.

My husband and I thought we found a gold mine in this place the first time we ordered. The crab rangoon were awesome, servings huge, service fast, and decent prices. We ordered again last night for the first time in a couple of months and were so disappointed. The rangoons had little to no filling inside, the "fried rice" was just brown rice, we werent at all impressed with the quality in general. Maybe the "Help Wanted" sign is a clue, this place is running on bare minimum staffing and food quality is suffering for it. Oh well. Maybe well try it again in 6 months and see if its improved.

I got delivery today although I have been to the restaurant. It is always clean and the staff is always friendly! My delivery came quick. The food quality is excellent and the quantity is even greater! Ill be eating rice for 3 days! LOL This is the best value I have found so far when it comes to Chinese food. Price is totally affordable and like I said, the quantity of food received is surprising! I highly recommend Egg Roll Hut to those of you in search of good Chinese food with good service and prices!

I am really confused about the other ratings being so high. Yes, there is a lot of food but the taste was not that good. There was virtually no flavor and the egg rolls tasted weird. I would have figured it was just mine but 5 of my employees ordered and we all ordered different things and they didnt like it either. The only reason that I didnt give it a one instead of a two is that "Hate It" is a strong saying but it is awfully close to our feelings about what we had. Dont waste the money.

We have gone here since 1985, will keep coming back. Sometimes (usually before closing) the food is overcooked, but usually it is great, in huge helpings. vegetable eggrolls and vegetarian choices are nice. the house special fried rice and house special lo mein fills you up w lots of leftovers. AND because it once was DQ, the ice cream is great. Do not be afraid of the outside! And get a cone while you wait. They will deliver downtown too which is nice for those of us who work downtown.
