Awesome Irish bar. Wide open seats, plenty of beer options and great food specials. I think this is the only bar that serves good late night food. Stopped by ordered some drinks, whiskey burger and the pretzel with bratwurst special. Ordered the calamari and the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich to go. The burger was delicious cooked perfectly great char and the whiskey cheddar was a nice touch. The cheese sauce and the bratwurst made that appetizer. Pretzel was soft inside and piping hot had great texture to it. Food that we took home was still hot after waiting 30 mins. Avocado was fresh and the calamari still crispy. Highly recommend this place if your looking for late night food and good beers. We were the only people in here at 10 PM.

Great pub. they do have a dart board which makes it super fun. food was good and priced for a pub. The owner was my bartender for most of my night and he gave my bro a free beer so that was awesome. all we had were cheese fries so i havent really tried everything on their menu yet. This pub did definitely have a great atmosohere. i did meet some guys who go there every friday for darts which was cool. the do have valet for $5. i saw someone pay the valet who then just parked their car 14ft. away. what a waste of $.

Came here with my boyfriend and they checked our Ids and told him we dont allow sagging. He had on Levi cargos WITH A BELT he most definitely was not sagging. I saw white people walking in without being carded or talked to. I didnt like his tone of voice and acting like we were going to start trouble when we just wanted a drink. I hear the den on the same street is just as bad when it comes to profiling minorities. I wont be going to either place.

my fiance were passing through dallas and walked uptown looking for a bite to eat. disappointed with the selection that we found, we figured we couldnt go wrong with a pub - and what a great decision. great selection of beers around the world - both on tap and bottled, and awesome burgers - he had the blue cheese stuffed burger and my veggie burger were both DELICIOUS!! plus, their prices were great! highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered a burger, cheese fries and fried tempura mushrooms that had like lettuce at the bottom.The sauces that they had were on point! Our waitress was nice. I feel theres something missing from the atmosphere, idk what though. And me and my friend had a great time as we were being served by our very kind waitress, Frannie. So, great place to come and visit all who read this.

The food was very good for bar food, and good in general. We had a black bean burger that was very flavorful without being too dense. My wife had the shrimp and she thought they were great. Our waitress was pretty busy but we never had to wait. The one draw back was the smokers. We were on the patio, so I guess we should expect to be assaulted. Not sure why the sunshine and view should be for the smokers?

My friends and I were enjoying a casual beer on the patio when we were told we had to leave as "the waitress saw you throw your glass onto the street." The bouncer that delivered this news was obtrusive and ignorant. Not only had we ordered bottled beers (so no glasses) we actually watched the guys beside us throw their drink. Im fading this place and as an Uptown Owner I suggest you do the same.

Another one of my favorite bars (alongside Blackfriar) for the past decade and going strong. Large patio and indoor and outdoor seating, multiple bars, great music and friendly staff, fast service, strong drinks and good selection of beers alongside good food. Perfect location with amazing people watching, can be extremely busy weekends and packed with gorgeous people having a great time.

Love this bar! The bar staff are all very knowledgeable on drinks and their beers on top. Theyre also super friendly and know their regulars very well! The food is delicious; their cheese plate is my favorite in Dallas, great choices and hearty portions!! Their brunch is pretty bombing too with pitchers of mimosas. I come here often and dont intend to stop!!

Great food, amazing beer selection. Staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. I am really upset to hear that they will be shutting their doors so the land owner can sell his lot off to build ANOTHER high rise apartment complex. Blah. This bar is one of the oldest standing places in the neighborhood. I hope Fergal decides to just relocate...

such a nice place with good food. We ordered a fires and Calamari there. Calamari was so, so. Not very good but not the worst I had. But their Fries was awesome. To be precise, we had blue cheese fries which came with cheddar cheese, blue cheese and bacon and two types of wonderful dips. Strongly recommended

Attractive streetside patio, heated on the late November afternoon we spent here. indie rock played on the patio speakers loud enough to overcome the noisy traffic. Beer selection good, prices reasonable. Chicken avocado mini sandwiches were spicy and tasty. My wifes fish and chips were ok, not great.

Burgers and sadwiches are great... a definite fav place for me and my partner! They got the BEST loaded steak fries! Never had a bad meal here, and weve eaten here several times! Total Pub decor, but gives it character, and never seems over crowded. TOP CHOICE

This my kind of pub. Absolutely love the atmosphere. Great variety of beverages and the food is delicious. All of the staff I have encountered has been friendly and attentive. Unfortunately The Idle Rich isnt anywhere close to home but I visit whenever I can.

Beer selection here is pretty good, though nowhere near as good as ginger man, and youre definitely not going to get the social volume youd find and black friar or Renfields here either, so while this place does several things well, it excels at none.

The bartenders are great but the wait staff are afraid to befriend you unless youre amazingly good looking. I love the atmosphere. Good food. Once again, you just need to be beautiful (man/woman) or young to gain attention from the staff.

Great atmosphere, delicious beer selection, and good prices considering the place is in Uptown. Has a full bar, so its not a traditional Pub, but it will have something for everyone. One of my favorite spots in Dallas!

Good prices and a very cool atmosphere, The Idle Rich has a great "classic irish bar" feel. This is a great place to take a group of friend and sit on the patio on a Saturday night.
