Im relatively new to the neighborhood and saw the sign that said "Blues" and thought I would stop by, so I turned around and went in. I have never gone anywhere in my life as a stranger where I was greeted so quickly with more kindness, respect, friendliness, etc. The service was fantastic. Sarah, one of the bartenders, who might be the best looking woman alive, was attentive and friendly and worked hard to keep the bar flowing. Speaking of drinks, they are most reasonably priced. Its not one of those places that try to gouge and exploit their customers. The place is not fancy at all, but I found it to be clean and well-maintained. Kudos to the management. For me, one of the attractions was the customers… Incredibly friendly "regulars" who introduce me to other regulars, and they introduced me to others. This includes the wonderful musicians that play there. I met a good dozen people and exchanged contact info with them. And speaking of the musicians, and the bands they were in, they were top notch and exceptionally entertaining, yet very non pretentious, even inviting me to sit in on the drums. Honestly, I cant imagine somebody not loving this place. Ive read a couple negative reviews here, and I wonder if its possible that these people walked in with an "attitude"… with their nose stuck up in the air… or something? Again, this is perhaps the friendliest bar Ive ever experienced. Between the good management, the outstanding musicians, and the cool and fun loving customers… This is my new local pub. Five stars.

Bar staff is great, drunks and cheap and strong however whoever is running the new karaoke sucks, like really really sucks its supposed to start at 9, he rolls in around 10:30. Signed up for one song at 10:45 and then went ahead and put another one in at 11:30 because it seemed it was taking a while. Didnt get to sing that night. Was told "if you throw $5 into the tip jar, Ill skip you too the front" if you want a tip maybe try being a good DJ. Your terrible jokes and trying to "rost" other people in the bar isnt going to get you far. Anyways, if you come to sing the Friday night kareoke be prepared to watch as the DJs friends go ahead of you multiple times before you get a chance to sing, or in my case not get to sing. this place used to be packed wall to wall with great singers on Sunday nights, now its hardly 1/3rd of what it was. until they find a new karaoke dj find elsewhere to get your Sunday night singing fix.

Not recommended for brown and other minority citizens!!! First time visiting this place and was excited for the small town bar environment. Since we arrived at the bar, we waited for approximately 15 plus minutes at the bar and still the two bartenders ignored us. I managed to the get the attention of the two bartenders that were working there and they told theyll get to me, 30 minutes passed by and they served people (non-minority) who came after us. After a total wait of 40 minutes me and my friends left. As we were leaving one of the bartender smirked at us. Dont recommend this place if ur brown, Asian, or black!

Upon entering I was stared like I was an alien because Im Hispanic and a bit on the tan side. Im not one to ever make things about race but in all seriousness, this place is very "white". The bartender didnt even ask me what I wanted, she just stood there and stared with her mouth wide open. I asked what they had on tap -- they have nothing on tap. I was not offered a run down on what they do have in a bottle. Lame. This place is dirty filled with old men hocking up phlegm. Needless to say, I wont be returning.

Bar staff and patrons were less than inviting. Im never quick to play the race card but the vibe gave me this impression. I hope Im wrong. Anyway I waited at the bar for the bartender to ask me what I was having. Instead she stood and stared at me with her mouth open. Wtf are you retarded? Anyway we asked for two Heineken paid and I tipped a measly $1.50. I dont plan on ordering another drink. Sat off to the side and enjoyed my drink and convo.

The place was packed, but the staff was working there tails off, and were better than most bar staff, one lady took 4 orders while she was at the line and served every person in order and every one was perfect. So dont let the crowd run you off, band had the place Rocking, People watching a must.... I am the ugly one

The best Blues in Town, hometown friendly atmosphere, Cheap drinks, great music! what else is there? Always a safe place to go to, and you never know who will drop in on Thursday and Saturday nights: Pete Barbeck JAM nights-Thursday, even on Saturday nights local musicians drop in for a gig! Love it!

One of the kookiest dive bars in Dallas. It gets packed, especially on karaoke night. Expect to wait for drinks when it is packed, and expect the staff to be less than empathetic. It is a dive bar, after all, so come with such expectations and you will find its charm.

Small, intimate and cozy! This is a great place to sit by a fire, have a special cocktail for a good price and maybe watch some sports. I appreciate the sexy nude art/ western theme. You cant go wrong with $1 peanuts to crack open and toss on the floor!!!.

This is my favorite bar in Dallas!!! Guaranteed to have a good time. Whether its good live music, cheap drinks, or awesomely cool friendly people, every night spent at the goat is way more worth it than they deserve

We got there two hours before close. Didnt get to sing. KJ tells me she doesnt go in order of a list. She picks favorites. WTF? Plus the song list is short and depressing. Dont come here if you like to sing!

This is how European bars will look like in 50 years. Where youngsters get drunk in Europe, lost people in their 50s and 60s spend their evening here, with live music, weirdos and post-modern beer.
