The Food is ok. Not too great not too bad. Have been there on four different occasions. They serve a very generous portion -in all of the dishes. The dum biryani is really good , so is the manchuria. However HereThe Vijaywada Spl chicken biryani lacks the punch, it is popularly known for. The place is nice & cozy, everything is self service. The place is run by super cool owners, who dont mind even when the patrons hang out for alittle bit longer. Unfortunately, there is no no smoking zone. So if you plan on sitting in the patio, get ready to get choked by thick white swirls of pungent smoke as there is always a small group of people religiously smoking their way to death.

they dont even deserve one star, terrible food and customer service. i ordered for snacks to go and after waiting for 20 minutes they gave me the snacks which were in room temperature, i suspected something was wrong and tried one in the restaurant, sure enough inside they were frozen. i took them to the counter and told them why theyre frozen inside they acted they knew nothing. they took them back said theyll redo them but after waiting for another 10-15 minutes they came back which were just microwaved the old ones. never ever going back to that restaurant who doesnt have any food ethics.

Have been there twice from the time it opened. They are still in the early stage and have a strategic location amongst the off campus indian community. The food quality was certainly not at par and the prices are not economical. The onion Utappa was uncooked and had to be returned. Sambar was ok. I have not had their meat preparations. Vegetarian preparations still lack the flavor and taste and do not taste to be cooked fresh. If the restaurant can work on its food quality, taste and serve fresh food with economical prices, they will surely have a great business in this area.

Food is really good and we usually get food here but, I had worst experience yesterday. After getting the confirmation from kitchen staff they confirmed my order at 10:42 pm. I picked my food "swadeshi special chicken biryani" which was $11.99 plus tax, came home and finally found that the biryani has just one leg piece and rice(which is not good though). You guys just tell us if something is not really available instead of doing this disgusting activity.

We have always ordered chicken biryani! Even as catering for parties and dawats! And its the best. Its very fresh and very delicious to a point where you can taste all the spices put in the Biryani! Coming from India- and been here since 5 years I have tasted many Biryanis from all over Dallas; and this is place which has the BEST Biryani. I can never get tired of eating here!

The lowest I could give was a single star. If there was an option to give zero or negative I would have done that! Every business is recognized by the ethics/code that the owner follows. Sadly I have seen the employer treat his employees horribly and I wouldnt want any young student workers to go through this trauma. Do not encourage their Business. They dont deserve it.

I used to love the food at swadeshi. I mostly eat South Indian cuisine here and it used to be very authentic, it tasted similar to the food in some popular restaurants in Indian cities. However, the quality of food (aroma, taste and freshness) got depreciated over time. I hope the management looks into this ASAP and regains the earlier taste.

Pathetic service, the guy at the counter wouldnt give chutney with food, saying it doesnt comes with it. A can of thumbs up for 2 bucks....are you crazy!!! I guess the success of past year has gotten to their head... not long before this place closes down!!! They have only one motive- how to get people to pay more!! Horrible experience!!

Very bad pick up service. Food is good, but the girl at the pick up service is worst. She is not even maintaining safety measures while handling food, not even wearing gloves. This is not a first time, Im noticing this, I made my order through phone and she told me to wait in the normal queue. And i stood there for 1 hour.

Swadesh use to be good in taste and quantity. I dont know what happened to them, they drastically reduced quantity for all the orders especially for biryani. I am not really interested going to swadesh anymore if they are going to continue like this. They suppose to learn from Hyderabad House how they offer.

Cheap and best to suffice your taste buds. Try the Special Tea which is full of flavors and the filter coffee. The lamb and mutton dishes are perfectly prepared. Only place in Dallas that I loved having Mutton at. Spicy biriyanis and quantities will keep you full for 2 meals.

Continuously had food here for 5 days. Had biryani twice and non veg combo thrice. Food tastes average. But Yesterday, I took chicken biryani for 2 go. Biryani rice was ok, but chicken is spoiled. I dont mind if taste sucks, but un hygienic food is not tolerated.

Always take too long to get food. Im standing here for a utappam that I ordered 40 minutes back. I was told to come out in 15 minutes. I was told to come back in 15 minutes. After half an hour, I again had to wait 10 mins. Regretted ordering! Poor service.

I found a FLY in my food and the attendant was like "Trash that, I will get you a new one". Who would want to eat again at a place where you find flies. He didnt Refund or even say sorry, more like No Regrets Attitude. Customer service at its worst.

You get the best chicken tikka masala and butter chicken here. You receive 2 sides with each entrée. I just wish they were a little closer to the east side. Planning on having this regularly during the exams ..!!! Worth IT !!!

TBH, I liked this hole-in-the-wall place. Agreed, the ambiance and location isnt great, but it is reasonably priced. For someone who hates north Indian style food, I liked this place.

Tasty food served by some customer insensitive people. Check twice before you pickup an order. Something might be missing. Sometimes you might have to wait 1 hour for your food.

Good food, but half the items on the menu werent available. Great samosas, good prices. Its fast food, dont expect a fancy dining experience but the staff were all very nice.

Food is ok. It is good for students residing nearby. Not so clean. But it gives u a feel of Indian roadside restaurants which we usually go just to have tea and some snacks.

If you want to grab some urgent Indian food, this place is good. However, they need to really revamp their menu. The curries are same old and they have nothing new to offer.

This was my favorite place when it started but over period of time it became worse in terms of food quality and lengthy waiting time. To-go boxes have also became smaller.

They have the one of the best tanduri masala chicken tikka. The gravy is buttery and mind melting. The naan is average, little bit crispy on the side.

Very good food at a great price. It is almost a boon for the students living in the area. They also provide special discounts to students

Indian food is of the best. Andhra people can have their own styles here. For others it is place to try for people who like it spicy.
