Looking for a new burger place, this was one of a couple options my party had for a Friday night. Upon arriving a little after 6pm, there was almost no one in the whole place. A few people were drinking on the patio, but no one was inside eating. This was pretty surprising to see a spot like this so empty near dinner time on Friday night. The prices were pretty much on point with any other burger place youll find around downtown Dallas. However, the quality of the food was very disappointing. The main thing I was exciting about was the mac and cheese based on the pictures shared from other reviewers. This was a VERY bland mac and cheese, and even with some pepper it still was not very good. As far as the burger goes...the meat patties are quite large! I figured it was like most places where the patties are flat, so I got a double...which was WAY too much. It made the burger very difficult to eat normally. Also, they load on the lettuce, so be sure to get it on the side so you can pick how much you want to put on. The moment I picked up my burger, it immediately started leaking a lot of grease. Ive never had a burger be that greasy and that messy. It was pretty gross, so I had to smash my burger down to try to get as much grease out as possible. The taste of the meat was okay, nothing memorable. I couldnt tell you if it had seasoning on it or not, so it must not have. The sweet potato fries were good, but the onion rings were almost as greasy as the burger. They charge extra for sides of ranch and watery BBQ sauce...but expect to be given a half-full cup with about 3 dips worth of sauce. Overall, this place was not very good, and I likely will not be coming back. If they kept the burgers from being drenched in grease and seasoned the mac and cheese, it might be worth another try, but until then, Ill take my business elsewhere.

I honestly dont understand how some reviewers stated that this was the best burger in DFW. Chilis would have a better burger. Went for the first time last week with my husband- he ordered a double stack and I ordered the fish & chips special. He mentioned that the bun on his burger was soggy and I watched him squeeze a large amount of watery juice from it- it looked pretty gross. Not even juice from the burger, it was more watery than anything. The woman who brought his food mentioned how my fish & chips would be along shortly. My husband was done eating for about 10 minutes before my food even arrived. The fish was okay but did not warrant the price- the fries didnt even taste good. My husband had sweet potato fries which would have actually been good if they werent salted. Also, we tried to go to the upstairs patio but it was closed for a private party. Most of the downstairs patio tables hadnt been cleaned yet from the previous customers. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was friendly. I definitely dont recommend this place.

How does a burger joint that cant cook burgers stay in business? 3 months ago I went and asked for a medium rare burger...it was delivered very well done. I ate it anyway and on my way out approached the owner and told him the above. He apologized and asked me to bring it to his attention on my next visit. Yesterday I went again and ordered a medium rare burger and asked the owner to have the cook watch it as I had a problem with temperature previously. Burger arrived very well done! I took it to the owner and he insisted on refiring a new burger. This burger was delivered so rare that the inside was completely raw. What...this place wants to kill me with E. coli? There was a guy behind my table and his burger arrived very well done instead of "medium" as he had asked for. A new burger was refired for him and when it arrived, the waitstaff waited while he cut it to see how it was cooked. This time the waitstaff shook her head no and took the burger back to the kitchen. Like I said....A burger place that cant cook a burger!

Any time you can find a burger that is dripping off of your elbow by the third bite, youve found the Holy Grail of Burgers. Nikki and Randy - mostly, Nikki run the finest bouquet of burger houses. Yes they have a full bar. Yes, they have a few craft beers. I went there for the burger and was not disappointed. The fries are standard, the onion rings are standard. The sweet potato fries are rather unique. The best Sysco has to offer but Stackhouse gets them right. I may have to hold Nikki hostage to get Randy to give up the meat blend for that great burger, but even then I bet he wont talk. Im thinking that it has to be some sort of Patterson Meat secret. The parking sucks, its best to try and find a place on the street because the lots way too small. Yet, I didnt come for the parking, the bar or the beer. I came for the burger and found the very best - any where.

Went there this evening with my wife, ordered a double with grilled jalapeños, gouda and cheese fries and my wife ordered a burger plain and dry with fries. After 30 minutes we took notice that we were really getting hungry. At 45 minutes I went back to the cashier to ask about our order, they tried to give me someone elses order then told me mine just pulled up and was ready. It took an additional 5 minutes or so before our food was actually on the table but we still didnt have her fries and my jalapeños seemed like they had been microwaved instead of actually grilled. My double burger had a top burger that split into several pieces as soon as I took one bite. Use to really enjoy coming here but waited close to an hour without food, was given no apologies only excuses why it took so long and was not satisfied in any way when we left

Went to Stackhouse for my birthday and I have to say, their burgers are delicious! I had the single patty with provologne cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. It was definitely worth the price on both size and taste. The sweet potato fries were great! Just the right amount of crispness. My fiance and I also shared a side of onion rings and usually I hate onion rings, but I actually enjoyed the ones here. The view on the balcony is great especially if you come around sunset. It wasnt crowded at all so we got a good seat to see the sun set behind the city skyline. The only complaint I had was that the lady at the register was kind of grouchy, but later on I saw her being nice to an elderly couple who needed help so maybe she was just having a bad day when we got there. Definitely need to go try this place at least once if you like burgers.

Been here before, but last night (Saturday) they must have been understaffed. (Trying to give then the benefit of the doubt) Only one person working the register, so took to long to order. People behind us in line got their food before us. When my grilled fish sandwich came it was sitting is a puddle of white Cole slaw juice. I am surprised they let it come out of the kitchen or that the food runners didnt correct this before brining it to the table. Tried to ask a food runner for another beer and was told I had to go downstairs to order. No one was tending the bar so had to wait in line for chance to buy another beer. Poor service and poor food.
