I went here with two friends on 6/17 and was disappointed by the experience. I ordered the vegetarian option, la bandita, with no cheese, mayo, or pesto sauce. One of my friends also got the bandita and the other got the magic shroom. I have no idea what happened, but it took over 45 minutes for us to get our food. I went to check after about 30 minutes, and I was told that our order was "almost ready." My friend went to check 10 minutes later and they said our order was on the counter and ready to be taken out. We still didnt get it for another ~7 minutes. Very frustrating, especially since there werent many people there. When we got our food, I immediately noticed that my burger had pesto sauce. I dont do dairy, and Im not sure if the pesto sauce had dairy in it or not, but I specifically asked that it not be on there to be safe. I wasnt going to wait another unspecified amount of time for them to make me another, so I begrudgingly ate it. The burgers and fries were good, but I doubt well be coming back due to the disregard for customer satisfaction. It was not worth the wait to get something I didnt pay for. You can pay the same price and be treated in half the time at any other burger place in Dallas.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. This location employees were disgusting. I walked in and used the restroom before being seated and witnessed 2 employees making out in the MENS RESTROOM!! Their names were Jorge and Ana. So I get seated and lo and behold, JORGE is the one serving me. My friend asked this Ana chick to wipe off the dirty table before we sat and the scoffed and rolled her eyes and flat out refused! I couldnt believe it!! I danded to be seated somewhere else and they reluctantly allowed it. The food on the other hand was not good. The new fries were completely bland and the chili/cheese was obviously old. Me and my friends had La Bandita, El Diablo, and the Classic Burger. The meat was slightly burnt on 2 and a little too rare on the other, it was also bland and smelled off. Not to mention I got sick afterwards. The food was mediocre at BEST and service/employees were awful, and disgusting. The experience was unbelievable. I notified the manager and got those employees fired just today. The only redeeming factor was Sabrina Guzman. She was an absolute doll, beautiful looks and amazing manners. If hell freezes over and I am ever forced to go again it will only be to see Sabrina.

I read an article a few months ago about how Hopdoddys was coming to Uptown, and having loved the other one I had to check if the one down by me was up to par. Had to of course get a shake, burger, and shared a beer too. Picked the Salt/Caramel shake to start off, which is so consistently amazing - deeply sweet, yet with bits of coarse salt for contrast. Works every time.... For my burger, I had the Magic Shroom, which is Angus Beef, Texas Goat Cheese, Field Mushrooms, Mayo, & Basil Pesto. Got it medium rare as requested, tender thick and juicy, with great quality beef. Melts in your mouth! One thing to note, we got our food pretty quick despite it being pretty busy, and the waiter gladly split up the stout we ordered into two cups. Pretty sure we got a bit extra, too! Overall, awesome place, definitely does the original in Dallas justice. Will be back!

Overpriced and underwhelming. Jakes and Kellers is way better. I found this chain from Austin didnt live up to the hype. Ordered take out from here and was told 15 minutes. Arrived to find our burgers cooling in bags on the bar counter. Waited for someone to come greet me. Then got to the bar. Then waited 2 minutes while the barman walked around the bar and off to perform some other unrelated errand. Finally he rung up my bill and then wandered off for another minute before coming to finally hand me my lukewarm food. 2 tiny burgers, 1 large fries and 1 small fries for 27 bucks. The burgers were small, bland and nothing to write home about. The fries were alright but expensive for the taste and portion. You could do way better than here, so save your money and go elsewhere.

Much more grandiose then their humble food truck beginnings in ATX, this location offers plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, food/drink options, and TV watching angles. The taste of their burgers remain one of the best. I prefer the Kobe beef Primetime Burger to satiate my desire for highly quality at a reasonable price. It may even compare to slapping a streak from Del Friscos in-between two peices of bread and munching down. Wait staff is pleasant and doesnt rush. They are knowledgeable about their menu and take the time to provide their own preference on items. While not a full bar, their location (McKinney Ave) and variety are plenty for a casual night out or just enough for the start of a night out in Dallas.

Horrible experience today. Service was unbearably slow. Waiter was forgetful and never apologized for ignoring/neglecting our table repeatedly. Took way too long to even be greeted once we sat down, didnt get water for at least 10 minutes and our waiter had to go back 3 times to ask about ingredients regarding a food allergy. Left in the middle of taking our order and didnt come back for another 8-10 minutes. The table next to us (different waiter) sat after us, but was finished with their food, paid and left before we had even gotten our food. 35 minutes before we even placed our order. We love Hopdoddy and have been going since they opened in Austin, but this was a terrible experience.

Fantastic Burger Restaurant in Downtown Dallas. I Recently helped my brother move from Albuquerque to Dallas, and this was the place he took the whole family after hours of unloading the trailer. I tried it all: local beer, great burgers, and fantastic shakes. you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu, but i tried the primetime burger with brie cheese and truffle aioli (amazing), the truffle fries, and the caramel and sea salt shake. Just get what I got and you will be fantastically happy, and then when you go back again (because you will), try something else. I cant wait to visit my brother to go back to this restaurant, and of course to see him...

Good food but bad employees. The seating waiter is really rude and doesnt accommodate. Went here with my 4 year old daughter and wife. The guy seated us on a table which we had to share with another couple with a cardboard divider on the table top. The chairs on this table were really tall and narrow so my daughter was feeling uncomfortable and was slipping down. I requested this guy to move us to a sofa table (out of many available ones) but he said straight no and replied that those are reserved. This was absolutely a lie as the regular walk ins were seated on them. Didnt feel welcomed at this place with their attitude.

I love Hopdoddy because their food is outstanding, and their prices are good. This location is rather unique because they are a full service restaurant, rather than the other locations where you order/pay at the counter and your food is brought to you afterwards. Its nice because you dont have to wait in line to get into the building or even to be seated. The issue is that our server wasnt very friendly, and since its full service you have to tip. I thought it was fun to enjoy Hopdoddy in a new way, but I would prefer going to a different location so you dont have to deal with a server.
