Several burgers to choose from; they do a good job and they taste great. Fries are a separate charge and when you add them in you pay about the same as any other sit down restaurant for a burger and fries. Chips are made in-house and better than most in-house chips. On Tap Beer selection is quite large, offering many fine varieties. Theyll let you sample several before deciding and the staff is much more beer-knowledgeable than most bars. By store policy they will not serve water. They have overpriced 16oz bottles of water that theyll sell you instead. Expensive and wasteful. ಠ_ಠ They will give you an empty beer glass, though, and the water from the bathroom sink gets cold pretty quick.

I really want to like this place but I am turned off by a few things. The bottled water only policy is ridiculous. In many cities its illegal to only provide water for charge at bars, plus the plastic bottle is a waste of natural resources & I doubt they recycle. The servers here are awkward creepers, and not the friendliest I might add. The portions of fries are piddily. It would be nice if they would have the option of getting a whole wheat bun. The food is good but just not impressed with the place overall.

Was there yesterday and I am not impressed. I went online to find the best burger in Fargo and this was it. I think someone got paid off to list this as the best. Burger Time blows this place away. The only thing special about this burger was the special sauce, 1000 island dressing, how special. I will say the imported beer was great. The burger leaves a lot to be desired. The $22.00 tab for 2 burgers left even more to be desired. Save your money and your stomach and head to Burger Time.

The best burgers Ive ever had and I travel for work 200 days a year. Ive been to nearly every burger joint imaginable. They are very cheap prices and you can get two burgers for 7 dollars. The Cajun fries are the best Ive ever had. They also have beer cheese dip along with numerous other stuff to dip fries in. My only gripes would be paying for water, and its very small in there. Its hard to get a seat but we manage to go every time we are in Fargo or Moorhead.

Hands down my favorite place to go in town. All of the locations have great food and service, but downtown JL is my favorite for atmosphere. Yes, its small and only seats a few at a time — but thats part of the charm. I like to get the Humpty Dumpty plus bacon - OR - the Ragin Cajun. And then its a toss-up between the house-cut fries or chips. Both are fantastic. Fun fact: my husband and I had our first date at JL Beers <3

JL Beers is THE best burger place in Fargo! Just moved to the area a month ago & this place is by far my favorite restaurant in town. The burgers are to die for and they always have an extensive beer list. The staff is very friendly, especially Mike B who answered all my questions on their beers on tap. Doesnt matter which location you visit.. youll always get great food & drinks!

Good burgers, staff at this location are always super nice and attendant. Only downside is if you go on Wednesday youll get bombarded with annoying abortion protesters from the clinic next door - Im not sure if that makes me want to go there more or less on certain days.

I am so glad JL has expanded to include Minneapolis - now I can get awesome burgers, fries, and beer in multiple cities! Go for their Cajun seasoning or get some beer cheese for your fries. You cant go wrong with any of the burgers.

JL Beers has one of the best burgers in Fargo. This location is usually busier than the others nearby, but the experience is consistent! Great beer, great burgers. Its as simple as that. The barbecue burger is a classic favorite.

Myself and 8 others heard this place was good and wanted to try it. However, we were told you have to buy bottled water. If I want a cup of ice water with my beer and food, it had better be free. We decided to go elsewhere.

Sooooo Goooood!!!!! I ordered mt. Mushmore with parm/garlic fries and jalapeno cheddar chips! The fries are some of the best Ive ever had!!! Bursting with flavor and freshness!!! Super nice staff too!! Yummm!

I cant give a great review to any restaurant that doesnt offer free refills on fountain drinks and or charges for water. That is un-American. The burgers and fries are good though. Id say on par with 5 guys.

Just love this place, very simple menu of burgers, and a huge beer list. We have never had a negative experience. Its a small place, so if you cant find a seat, head next door to Vinyl Taco!

Burgers are great but usely way too peppery. Service is always on par. No water on tap so you will pay for a drink no matter unless you just dont get anything. Fries and sauces are the best!

This is the best burger within 500 miles, unless you count the other j.l. beers locations, if you havent eaten here, you are missing one of the 3-4 restaurants in FM that doesnt suck

Great atmosphere and food, quick service but dissapointed they wouldnt give you a glass of ice water. They offer a bottle you can buy, but please, water is plentiful around here!!

Im from New York where you cant find a burger for under 10$. 5$ for a fully loaded burger. Chips n fries were also tasty. The beer selection is amazing...great meal for under 15$

Burgers are delicious, and fries are awesome. Our server offered to give us samples of beer. Paid $13.50 for a double cheeseburger, fries, and a tall beer. Not bad at all!
