The best thai Ive ever had. Really this review should end here, but since most readers arent aware of just how much Thai I eat, Ill elaborate. I took one wiff of the aromas permeating the restaurant and i knew i was going to love the food. The Tom Kha... oh boy so rich, so smooth, so good. You know the food is good when you dont see sliced mushrooms, you see entire halves of mushrooms in the Tom kha. Its perfect, not too sour, not too coconutty, not too much chicken or too much broth, its good. The ground pork in basil is.... this is the first place where I didnt even bother to mention spicy, the chef knew what he was doing. It was the kind of spicy that in any other restaurant you would have spat out and asked for something else, but here it was the perfect blend... the Thai spice, the original Thai spice, not just hot but full of flavour. You can upgrade the rice, and of course I did, to the coconut rice and the soothing sweetness of coconut rice perfectly offset the heat from the meat. I would also recommend their lemon grass margaritas... I dont know how you distill yhe essence of lemon grass in Margarita, and I generally dont approve of pink drinks, but Ill tell you that you wont have tasted a better Margarita this side of the border, equal maybe but not better. Note: if you cant handle spice dont try anything with the Thai birds eye chilli or at the very least let your waiter know you cant handle spice.

Visited this place with my friend. I am Vegan and my friend is a Non Vegetarian. I ordered vegan pad kee mow and waitress was in a hurry. I stopped her and showed the item in the menu to make sure she takes the correct order. After waiting for 20 mins, she gets me a plate of fried vegetables. I said to her I order vegan pad kee mow and where are the noodles. She said sorry and took it back. After another 20 mins male waiter brings the dish and I see again its not what I have ordered. He said its drunken noodle and started arguing that both are same. I said cancel the order and he went back angrly. Then after 10 mins manager came and requested what was the issue. I explained him what happen. He was then let me pack your food which you ordered. I said I came to enjoy the food at your restaurant and you are suggesting to pack and give the food as I am getting late. I requested to cancel the order. He said sure. Now the funny part. The waitress who took the order initially got me a Bill for the food which I didnt had. No more pakpao. I have turned down my friend and colleague who suggest me to go to pakpao. Rolled into this joint w two buddies and extremely high expectations. Visiting from Chicago, Ive had the opportunity to eat at some of the best Thai restaurants in the Windy City, as well as spots in California, Orlando, Miami, and Vegas. Simply said, Pakpao is cooking with magic. Their Crispy Tamarind Duck was otherworldly. After devouring the first dish, we ordered 6 more Duck entrees and just kept eating. We still text photos of the dish to each other 2 years after the feast. We ordered a bunch of other food- all solid; the Pad Se Ew was succulent (ask for it with crispy noodles), Drunken Noodles hit the spot, and the Fried Rice was really solid. But the Duck was by far the Rock Star of the night and one of those dishes I would absolutely be getting twice a week if I lived anywhere near Big D. Thank you Pakpao for making a beautiful and indelible impression on 3 hungry, seasoned travelers!!! Chef Jet has the GIFT!

I dont really see anything special in Pakpao. The food is Thai fusion and not well executed. My experience was just an okay one. I met up with my friend for dinner and we shared the fried egg with tamarind appetizer. She had the morning glory salad and I had the crispy tamarind duck. What we ordered was just okay...The egg was just egg, nothing special. The tamarind sauce made it unique because Americans are not familiar with tamarind flavor. It wasnt that unique to me because tamarind is included in Asian cooking so that flavor is nothing unusual to my palette. I was hoping the crispy tamarind duck would win me over but it didnt. I didnt get any tamarind at all. I only tasted fish sauce and duck. The bokchoy with the duck was over cooked. Drinks were also just okay. The Bangkok Snow was interesting but its not something I would rave about.

We came here for a work lunch and it was pretty empty (there were 2 other parties when we arrived). The restaurant is on the back side of the building so it took us a bit to find it. There is a large outdoor seating area, but we decided to sit indoors on this occasion. The service was pretty good and was a team effort. We had our waiter but everyone else seemed to pitch in to serve us as well. I had the Pad See Ew and it was great! The portion was huge and there was a good amount of chicken in mine. It was not too greasy which was my favorite part. I also enjoyed the fact that the meat to noodle ratio was spot on. I am usually left with a bunch of noodles after I am done with my meat. I will come back to try their Pad Thai Monday (4pm-close), which is $8 for Pad Thai.

Cocktails (skinny watermelon cocktail and Mekong cocktail) and appetizer (dumplings) were great! Sadly, the entrees were inauthentic creations. We tried the salmon curry and requested it to be spicy which, unfortunately, lacked real flavors and heat. (Tasted like packet curry paste) The curry was also about 2 cups less than Id expected (given that it was listed as a curry dish) and when questioned, they wanted to upcharge... The seabass was overcooked and the dish combinations did not go well together. For the price, the fish should have been cooked correctly. I have been to Thailand many times so if you are looking for traditional Thai food look elsewhere.

I ordered the Pow Pow shrimp appetizer and Chicken Pad Thai. The Pad Thai was on the sweet side for me but the sauce for the appetizer was delicious. Shout out to our waiter, Carlos. He was very nice and the service was fast. Side note: I did notice that the front door, which opens in one direction, was a problem for the waiters who were outside trying to come inside with a stack of dishes. The waiters would have to wait for the hostess or a diner to push open the door for them. I suggest sliding doors as a replacement or doors that open both directions.

Probably the best Thai food in Dallas. Ive tried multiple places, and this place just got the best cooks. Ive been there about 5 times and I ordered 5 different plates. Everything was on point. The duck is their best meal; its crispy, tender, sweet and super tasty. The pad Thai are very good as well ( balance of sweet, saltiness was perfect); noodles cooked perfectly. Service is fast and portion are quite generous. Waiters and waitresses could improve a little bit their enthusiasm but everyone is still quite friendly.
