We decided to try Mi Casa Tamales and were immediately excited by the scenery, the amenities, and the overall environment. This was our first visit, so I inquired about the seating with a member of the wait staff. A waitress instructed us to sit wherever we like and stated that someone would be with us shortly. About ten minutes or so passed and no one came to our table. Although Mi Casa was busy, it was not packed. There were empty tables, about three wait staff, a bar tender and a manager. Assuming that we would be attended to shortly, we decided to ask for a menu from the bar tender to browse while we were waiting. Soon after, I noticed that another group of patrons sat at table across from us. I was surprised to see that a few minutes after the group sat, they were attended to by them same waitress who instructed us to see anywhere we like. The waitress provided full service to the newly seated group and still paid us no attention. About 20 to 25 minutes had passed, so we got up to inquire about speaking with the manager. While waiting for the manager to speak with us, the waitress set her tray on the newly abandoned table to attend to others; she did not even acknowledge that there was now an empty table. Finally, the manger came and I explained the situation to him. His only response was that “he hoped we would visit them again.” He did not offer to seat us and ensure that we received immediate service. The whole event made us feel very awkward and unwelcome. I can say without a doubt that I won’t be visiting again.

**WOW.... Saturday night / Spazmatics concert was a DISASTER** We showed up around 8 pm... and like everyone else that wanted to purchase beer... waited in line for almost 90 MINUTES. Only a few bartenders with literally hundreds of people standing in line, hot and desperate for a beer. This is completely unacceptable after paying $50 for 2 concert tix. Sat in line from 8:00-9:20 pm. Sat in line while concert started. Sat in line that just wasnt moving. Really sad experience, Mi Casa Tamale is completely ill-equipped to handle lines of any kind or serve beer. Now Whitewater Amphitheater? They know EXACTLY how to move lines of beer drinkers along. NO EXCUSES. Definitely will NOT be back to Mi Casa Tamale.

The positive reviews must be by locals only. Driving through my family and I took the time to locate this establishment. We waited and waited! I said hello to be ignored. We were never served and was told their kitchen was closed. Ok, no problem but dont have people wait and wait, Stand at the counter saying hello, and be ignored. All to find out that we have to leave. I believe the negative reviews about the un attentive service. Staff stared at us, made Eye contact, but never came to us. I guess they dont care about travelers. We will continue to drive pass this place when ever we drive through on our next road trip. This is not a family place in my opinion if you are going to ignore a family of 5!

No fans or indoor seating (even the small indoor area where you order food felt like the air was not on and they left the door open for a "breeze" that never came). Extremely hot in the Texas heat. No changing table in the ONE restroom despite the awesome playsets, bounce house, and kid friendly atmosphere. That was confusing. Not recommended on a summer day or night and definitely not if you have younger kids. We were miserable and our child threw up on the way home from being so hot. I also had to change my daughter on the bathroom floor which also felt hotter than outside- imagine no air movement, sweat, and changing a diaper next to a toilet. Bad bad bad.

My wife and I stopped on a weekday around noon. First time visit. No customers. Thought they were not prepared. Ordered Green Enchiladas. Waitress was a young girl. Courteous, friendly, talkative. Took our order. Food was very good. The enchiladas were meaty, not too spicy. Food was delicious. Ordered coffee and it must have been made fresh for us because it was great. Will definitely come back. Next time maybe around sunset to sit outside. Would give Mi Casa Tamales a 5 Star Rating.

Very disappointed of this place ,every time I go ,I cant understand the concept of that place, No services on the table, No drinks on decent cups, food very pricy,No A/c or fans outdoor with this heat . It make very dificult to visit them, although is a good tasty tamales and a lot playground fof kids, but still dosent make it good place to eat with all the other poor situations . Over all ,it could be a good place like ot just to be along time ago.

Fun place to sit outside, listen to live music, eat some decent food, and knock back yummy top-shelf margaritas with friends. Staff are super friendly and service is great. This was our second time here. Atmosphere is super kick-back, relaxed, and inviting (so are the staff). Convenient to SA, Boerne, and Fair Oaks Ranch. Having recently moved out to the FOR area, I expect this will become one of our regular haunts. Fun, festive, and tasty.

People be aware, I had my kids birthday party at Mi Casa Tamales and they added another 20% to my bill even though I paid the 20% gratuity and did not want to take much responsibility for it. Check your statements after if paying with card.

This place is fantastic for families. There is so much for kids to do. The food is pretty good, but the service is so slow. Each time, there is one or two servers trying to care for the entire place. Do not come here starving!

Best tamales you can buy in So TX. The brisket tamales are amazing, the chicken verde run a close second but you can not go wrong with any of them. Lovely outside venue for live music. Feels right down home.

First time visit, great family place. We ordered chicken fajitas, unfortunately they were out of beef fajitas. Tamales, rice, beans were excellent. Definitely planning a return trip. .. :o)

The food is not good at all. We go for the live music when a friend plays there outside. We eat before we go.
