I started going to Vn since it opened and loved it for the first year was going weekly sometimes 2 times a week. A year ago I started noticing changes and not good ones so stopped going there altogether. I used to recommend to friends and I would take people there but it was sold and the new owner is trying to save money. Its taking the quality of the food downhill. The Pho taste watered down now and has little to no meat, the rolls have changed and taste horrible now. Ive gone to other Pho places around town and find myself driving an extra 15 mins to get pho when Vn is 10 mins from me. Wish it would of stayed the same...

If you have a craving for pho go to tan mi in austin. Vn bistro was no bistro. A pile of spoons on the table for you to pick from, soy sauce packs on the table for you to use, i was able to get some terrible hot oil upon request. The soup seemed like it was made from a mix. It had very little steak in it. The noodles were way over cooked and in a matted glob. The jalapeno slices were rubbery and very old. Very plain broth. Half of the staff seemed professional while the other half played tug of war in and out of the kitchen. This pho could be a solid cure for constipation though...

It was our first time and it will be the last. It does not taste good. Instead of using Asian green leaves, cucumbers and romaine lettuce on the vermicelli noodle, they use regular salad lettuce. Also the egg roll was undercook because I can taste the raw pork with the first bite. Also the dish, with my experience, I see the dishes were a bit unclean in some spot, it not sanitize. I have some sticky sauce stuck on my bowl , which does not make sense cause the food I ordered does not need brown color sauce on it. I guess this probably due to the fact that they change the owner.

Get the B4 if you dont know what to get.(its really tasty chicken char grilled) its awesome. everything weve tried is great including the Pho, the b9 and the b4 which all feature good pieces of chicken....our vegetarian diner says theres only one veggie option but she really likes it, its lo mein and does not disappoint....they may have other options if you ask. they ask you if you want peanuts in it which is good for people with allergies. store is not fancy but is very clean and orderly ill go here before i go back to pei wei...most all the meals are under 6 dollars.

Family owned and operated, VN is a very nice place to fall in for an informal dinner with friends or family. The vast and eclectic menu is executed nicely with a good amount of fusion Asian/French/American splashes with just the amount of authenticity. I love wait staff and seeing the owners children in the mix is always a nice nod to the execution of the simpler times of the American dream. Easy to support, if you like pho, Chinese food, or want to affordably try something new, VN is a good place to start the adventure or visit a culinary old friend.

If i could go lower i would. Rushes you to order but takes time taking it back. Had to ask for silverwear and didnt get napkins. When asked for napkins they took their time. Sat there a while (20min) and drink was never offered.ordered pho and the noodles were tough and not the thin rice noodle. Ticket was placed at table right after food and not one check up... this is the second we have gotten this service.... last time we sat for over an hour waiting for our food while other tables that came after us. not coming here anymore!

I came to SA for training and staying at the candlewood suites. Before I ordered some tofu and it was great, the food itself was at least a 4 star meal. When I came back today on my last stay before returning home, the place was clean, great service, and the food I ordered ch3 chicken pad thai. A dish recomended by the waitress who served me came out better than expected. In my home town I cannot compare any of the VN restaurants hands down. For sure, when I come back to SA, I will come back for a third round.

Place has really gone downhill over the last 6 months or so. Im not sure if they changed management or what, but I no longer go here. They started charging for every little thing and getting the orders wrong, and taking way too long to prepare even an order that was called ahead. Their prices also increased. I really liked how close to home this place was, but based off several bad experiences as of late I decided to take my business elsewhere. I will revisit in a few months to see if they improved.

I love the food, however, I went tonight hoping to eat only to be told that the restaurant has closed. The online wepage as well as the sign at the restaurant says the restaurant closes at 9:00. I sat down to eat at 8:40. After five minutes of sitting, the manager came and told my family and I that the kitchen closes at 8:45. That is ridiculous! If you stop serving at 8:45, then dont say your open till 9:00. Ultimately unsatisfied with my experience and am now enjoying a meal at PEI WEI.

I had heard that this place has the best pho, so we decided to try it, first of all the staff and the owner were super friendly and the staff was very attentive, the pork spring rolls were delicious, so was the peanut sauce that came with it, great flavors....the pho was outstanding, full of flavor...I personally thought the pad Thai was ok, but my wife loved it, and thats what counts since she ordered it....well definitely be back

Overall a good place to eat. Price and food are better than average for SA. They do have spotty service at times, truly a 3.5 STAR would be more accurate. The pho and vermicelli bowls are tasty. The spring rolls and bhan mi sandwiches are flavorful, but as of late the sauces have been lack luster. If they could focus back on the traditional flavors and improve the service they would easily be a 4 to 5 star place.

I have eaten there several times. Service is Good, the food is quality, delicious and you Dont feel bad at all after eating. I love the spring rolls! Give this place a shot its well worth it! 10/10 would "nom" again. Plus for all you Pokémon lovers there is a pokéstop right there, and they have lures there as well so you can stock up on potions and pokéballs and possible new Pokemon to add to your pokédex.

Very sad. My cousin and I have been going there for a little over 5 years and it was amazing! Food was great, people were nice, and the owner knew us personally. Now, they have new ownership and they changed all the recipes. We thought wed give them one last chance and it wasnt good. They changed everything and it now has an American feel to it. Its unfortunate to say we wont be going back there again.

The owner didnt do anything when my Togo order took forever(40+mins). He grumbled under his breath, blaming the kitchen and the staff and never actually addressed me and apologized that it was taking so long. A simple acknowledgement would have been welcomed. Over all, just really disappointed that the owner would show such adolescent behavior in front of guests.
