I went there for lunch during my lunch break with one other person and sat down at our table outside at 12:05. Our server didnt come to our table until 12:11 and didnt come back to take our order until 12:19 after we asked the hostess, who was also working as a busser, to please have our server come by our table. We ordered our food and told him that we were there on our lunch hour. Our server did not stop at our table again until we caught his attention as he was passing by at 12:40. We told him that we would need our food in To-go containers because we have to get to work. He said okay and asked if we would like To-go cups for our tea. We agreed to that and he brought our ticket to us. We noticed that there was a $1 discrepancy on the price of my meal based off of the menu. He said in all his time working there nobody seemed to care about that. At 12:55 we walked inside and to the bar. Our server was there and was finishing up our ticket. He handed it to us and just as he did that the cooks put our food (in To-go boxes) in the window. I asked to speak to the manager. At this point I was more disappointed than mad that I wouldnt be able to eat my lunch (I am not allowed to eat at my desk) until after work. The manager, Veronica, came out from the back with an obvious attitude. She was not kind and did not try and help the situation. She came out of the back throwing out all the wrong body language. You could tell she was pissed off. (Was it not my place to be angry?) I tried to tell her the situation and she began to argue with me. "This is not fast food. You got here at 12:05 and are trying to cash out at 12:45? That sounds like a quick meal to me" I dont think she quite understood about my situation. Let alone that it was 12:55. I got a bit defensive and asked her if people not getting their food until 50 minutes after they get there is standard for them. She told me “You cant say that you just got your food right now." I told her that yes we just got our food while standing at the counter. This didnt seem to help at all. She yelled at us in frustration while throwing her arms in the air "What do you want me to do about it?" My answer in the back of my mind was "Grow up and act like a manager and deal with your customer." what I said was “I am just ready to walk out of here without any of it." She said I couldnt do that. They made the food for us. The best she could do was 50% off. I would have been pleased with that when she walked out of the back room but after the show she just put on I wasnt happy with that. She clearly made things escalate. I pointed to my tea and told her. “I dont think you understand. This is my lunch. I wont be able to eat your food until 5 o clock after it has been sitting in a hot car all afternoon. It wont be fresh and it wont be good." She yelled back at me. "Whatever! Just leave." and when we were almost to the door she yelled out loud enough this time for the whole room to hear. "Go to Burger King next time!" Veronica, you will be happy to know that I will not be dining in your restaurant again. I can assure you that I will also tell those I know to not dine there either. While I can understand the fact that your food is not “fast food” I believe that if the service was quicker the food order would have been put in earlier and there wouldn’t have been a problem at all. If you enter a conversation with an upset customer ready for a fight you will get one. So try and stay calm and try and your customer will most likely calm down too.

The server that helped me was terrible and rude, oh how I wish I got her name. This place was suppose to be one of the top 10 places to eat brunch in the San Antonio area. The only good thing about this place is that it looks cute. The server that helped me seemed very annoyed by me correcting the order she placed wrong to begin with. My food took about 45min to get there and it was incorrect, so I had to wait extra time just for my daughter can get chocolate chip pancakes. She had the audacity to expect me to take it as is and rolled her eyes when I told her I wanted my order corrected and what I ordered initially. Eventually she corrected my order and she charged me for several things I didnt get. I had to get up and go to her at the bar to correct this because she never came to me. She had some other person just bring me the tab and didnt bother to look my way. When I was at the bar she put her hand on her head looked down and started nodding back and forth as in disbelief I went up to her. To be quite honest I couldnt believe myself that I was forced to do this. I told her she seems frustrated and Im sorry that I me the customer had to get up from my table to go to her. When she picked up her head she looked at me really ugly and said you made me forget my order I had to put in, like that is suppose to be my fault. I felt that there was no reason in calling management because at that point and I just wanted to leave this place. I signed the tab right in front her and put a big huge zero on the tip right so she can see. You do not treat people this way and that lady should be fired immediately. This was the worst experience ever and I do not recommend this place to anyone. I hope she reads this review and management does as well. This establishment does not deserve any stars. One more thing the girl that handed me my tab which im pretty sure was a hostess spilled my drink and didnt bother to say sorry or clean it up she just walked away. Again terrible place and staff is horrible. DO NOT GO HERE!!

We visited this place on a quick trip through Boerne about 2 months ago. We should have known something was odd when we walked up to a sandwich board announcing the days (lunch?) special at $29 a plate. When we sat down, we were the only people in the place. After a quick look at the menu, we ordered a variety of soups, sandwiches and appetizers. I was starving and figured with my sandwich over the $10 mark, I was in for a treat. Unfortunately, the sandwich was the size of something Id make at my house - half of the plate was empty with white space. I had a side of fruit that was about $5 (I had to pay to sub out my fries), and I received a small bowl with a few slices - I could have walked to HEB and bought a bag of fruit for that price. At that point, I was done with this place. My food alone cost roughly $20 and I left hungry. Not to mention, our waitress began helping other tables and forgot our to-go boxes and completely ignored us to serve others. We had to walk up to the bar and ask them for assistance to get out of there. The place sounds like a German restaurant and has German food, but the decor is completely modern and I did not feel like I was sitting in a German restaurant. This place makes Boerne seem like its on a path of ripping off tourists. Needless to say, we will not be returning - very disappointed :( Well go to Fredericksburg next time...
