This past Friday night a friend and I got in around 1:30 to smoke. We ordered and sat down as usual, and we were especially looking back to enjoying the music that they usually played there. The previous Friday they played some of our favorite music (rap) and we greatly enjoyed it. Now, yesterday we walked in and heard our favorite artists and were ecstatic. We talked and enjoyed the music for the first 30 minutes or so, and then the music suddenly shifted to screamo metal music. We were taken aback, but they can play what they want, sure. It was incredibly loud, and we couldnt hear each other speak in our own corner. I may add that the place was not busy in the least, and we were one of probably 3 groups at the lounge. Now, let me step back and say that, even though the music was loud, we werent annoyed or anything with the staff at this point. Despite the music blasting, we were fine, and enjoyed the hookah just fine. At this point I got up and wanted to get some more water. I stood there waiting for several minutes as the staff blatantly ignored me and carried their own conversation. Again, at this point, not a huge deal. After they finally realized that I was there, one girl took my glass and got a refill for me. When she approached me again I said "hey, is there any way I can convince you to turn the music back to rap? My friend and I were enjoying it." Nothing incendiary, nothing obnoxious. She replied, not missing a beat, that she wasnt on shift (shes behind the counter, smoking for free, and talking with the employees, alright) and that there wasnt anything she could do about it. Now, this is where I started getting mad. I looked past her and saw their iPad that was controlling the music (I knew because another girl, apparently on-shift, went over and turned down the volume on the iPad). She then said that since it was late, that they "played what they wanted," AKA get out of here, we dont listen to you. But again, she was not on her shift, but she was able to dictate the music options for the entire establishment. Not by itself a huge deal, but coupled with everything else, I was beyond frustrated. Whats worse is that the heavy metal didnt stop, and really just seemed to be a way to shoo the patrons of the lounge out prematurely. I will concede that the time was beginning to approach their closing time, but regardless, it is terrible business to kick people out with outrageously loud music that was most likely not in the majoritys interest. It is obvious that the management of this lounge does not have the customers best interest and instead lets their staff run rampant with actions that dont make regular customers such as myself look forward to coming back. The disrespect that I felt from the staff here last Friday was ridiculous, and I made this account to let people know about it. Please, do yourself a favor and find another hookah lounge. Even Kasbahs staff doesnt treat you like trash.

We had been going there every Friday night for couple of weeks. They have descent Hookah. However, the last time we were there, the manger came to us and told that since you are 6 you should have gotten 2 hookahs. We said that we are about to leave and we didnt know the rule and frankly we didnt. We had just gotten the second tea pot after a long wait. He literally kicked us out without even letting us drink the tea. He rudely told us that if you wanna drink the tea it means you will be still sitting so you cant drink it. Even though we explained that we didnt know about their rule, he insisted that we should leave. He said we have sign but we simply never noticed. This is beyond poorly treating a regular customer. This is messed up management!

Horrible service you get greeted with this terrible front cashier blunt face no welcome looking at you like you just trespassing the caffee shop very weird atmosphere asked me what I want I asked for Shisha she asked me for 20 dollars upfront which I dont care but I was a Little hesitant giving a tip upfront specially the way I felt but I did any way then waited like 29 minutes for my Shisha I got it when I asked one of the waitresses she bluntly looked at me like I am kind of stupid to ask for my Shisha after 29 minutes I will never go back to that place again sucks big time

The 2 years Ive been back here from Dubai, living in Houston havnt found any shisha that was good or worth the money. I was in town with a friend and we heard good things about Arab Cowboy so we tried it out. Best shisha Ive had in a very long time service is good and friendly, has a chill laid back vibe with comfy couches. The drive its self is worth it.

I love this place. From the owner to the staff, Ive gotten to know them all personally and they are great, welcoming people. The seating is comfortable and gives the feel of lounging at home. Its BYOB, so thats also a plus! Highly recommend them...much better than all the other hookah places I have tried in Austin.

Ive been going here for years. The staff is always friendly and work hard to get to know what you like. They also respect your time and try to get hookahs out as soon as possible, even when slammed. Theyve made me a loyalist because of their consistent high-level of service.

I know it says "Opening march 2009", but Its not open yet. The sign is up and the building is repainted, but they arent open yet. A friend and I walked over to it, and it wasnt open. So I dont know what to say other than, when will it be open?

Great hookah lounge. They make you feel at home, the furniture a little beat up but is not an issue at all, it makes you laugh, or just makes you feel right at home. Great customer service. Great everything. Love it

Arab Cowboy is a cleaner, more modern hookah lounge around the campus area. The layout is simple, and couches are comfy. Service is always fantastic, very attentive and humble. My go-to for hookah in west campus.

Best hookah in town. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The shisha combinations are endless. And the atmosphere is super relaxed. I cant recommend this place enough!

Not the BEST hookah bar around campus, but the second best hookah bar around campus. They yelled at me one time when I tried to move a chair. Otherwise, pretty awesome.

Nice atmosphere, though the staff is really strict about some things (i.e. you cant move the furniture around)

good place to chill, try to go during happy hour though, regular priced hookah is kind of expensive
