The food here is great, but I have to give 1 star because of how bad the service is lately. The service used to be a lot better. I was left on hold for an hour just to order a burger by phone on one occasion. When I hung up and called back the phone was off the hook. The next time I wanted their food I went to the restaurant and the service was atrocious. I sat at a table for 15 minutes before we even got drinks, and I left after another 15 minutes of waiting for the wait staff to take my order. If the next time I try them, because I probably will try them again, and their service has improved I will adjust my score.

Our waitress was HORRIBLE! Worst waitress Ive ever had. She had no personality, didnt bring us menus (I had to get up and grab our own), forgot the appetizer we had ordered, once we got our food she never once checked back on us so our drinks were empty the entire time we were there, after eating we sat there at our table for about 15 minutes before we had to get up and go to the front and ask for to go boxes. The food was okay, fries were very greasy and ranch dressing tasted odd. My chicken strips were pretty good and my cousin said she really liked her burger as well. We wont be going back again.

Food was greasy and soggy. Got the blue cheese burger and there was so much blue cheese dressing ,it was gross. Fries were soggy and under seasoned. Atmosphere was not impressive and there was a pile of trash by our table that no one cleaned up. The beer garden was closed due to "leaves"...the fried pickles tasted like they were just frozen then cooked, nothing special for a restaurant called pickles. The waitress were very unhappy and not welcoming.

Its a quaint little country town spot. You can tell by the guests thats its a favorite locals spot. The server was very sweet. The food reasonably priced. I got 2 eggs with bacon biscuits & gravy. The biscuits & gravy looked awesome but was Very Bland. Tasted like there was Zero Salt in it at all. Outside of that, the experience was great. Would definitely go back if I am in town again.

Atmosphere is laid back and authentic with plenty of local color. Quaint and charming. I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The French toast was soggy inside and pretty flavorless- could use some cinnamon or nutmeg in the batter. The eggs were also flavorless and mushy but the bacon was good. Overall, I was quite disappointed with my meal. Perhaps their lunch is better...

When the staff isnt stressed its OK. Otherwise its a little hectic and sometimes a tad dirty, tables dont get wiped down after each diner for example. The food is OK, its a Sysco (or similar, Costco?) pre-made patty for the burgers, and theres a chance your bun will still be cold or even slightly frosty, but its edible. The fried pickles are good, though :)

It looks like a hole in the wall from the street, and it kind of is, but the staff are super friendly and the burgers are flat out incredible. Big, juicy burgers and the buns are perfect. Soft on the outside, crunchy on the inside, so much buttery goodness... Blink and youll miss it so make a point to look for it and stop. You wont be disappointed.

Food is typical small town fare, fresh and hand made. Had CFS Friday special, steak was cooked well and the cream gravy delicious. The place is billed as a beer garden, this is not a beer garden. There are no taps and they only carry two craft beer varieties, Real ale Firemen 4 and some Rahr Sons brew, completely disappointed.

Best burger in Glen Rose. I had the jalapeno and cheese burger. the jalapenos were not too hot and they were diced. It was just the right amount of heat and flavor for the burger. Fries were excellent too.

This is a great place to sit down and enjoy a cold beer. Their back porch area is cool and sometimes they have live music. Service has always been great. I have never eaten here so I cant rate the food.

Our waitress and all other staff were SUPER friendly! This was the absolute BEST burger I have ever had. And those fried pickles were to die for. I will definitely be visiting again!

Great service. Everything tasted fresh. The chicken fried steak had amazing texture but not much taste. Gravy was a bit bland as well. Burgers were good. Fries are very good.

Went for breakfast. There was 1 other family in the resturante. It took almost 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. With a hungry 3 year old that is unacceptable!!

Incredible burgers! Nothing too special within the restaurant but to-go and calling in an order is always an option. Workers are really friendly :)

The chicken fried steak special was really good. The best Ive had in a long time. The fries are thin cut which I love. The service was super fast.

They are supposedly open until 3, but it is not uncommon for them to close 30+ minutes early. Very unprofessional in demeanor and lackluster food.

Small cramped place, usually understaffed, food is not bad, but a bit pricey. One of the better options in Glen Rose, but thats not saying much.

ED

Eddie Rojas

Cool cozy place for a good burger. The beer is a bit pricy because its a dry county but the appetizers and food are worth the stop.

DA

A good greasy burger place. The fried mushrooms are good too. If you get there at 12 be prepared to wait a little for an open table.

The fried pickles were the best weve ever had. Great burgers and home fries, big enough to share! Very friendly service, too.
