When we arrived the waitress showed us to a table outside, and we ordered our food and drinks. After she brought out our drinks we sat there for 30-45 minutes, starving, waiting for her to come out with our food or an update at least. Nothing, not even the customary chips and salsa. Eventually we got frustrated and went inside because maybe she forgot she had a table outside.. Doubt it, but I like to be optimistic. At the table inside we finally got a basket of bland chips (I likened them to fried post-it notes) and a small plastic cup of "salsa". After about another 15 minutes our sizzling plate of fajitas was brought out and things started looking up. We didnt have any plates or silverware on the table so I asked a man who seemed like a manager if we could have some. He brought us some silverware but only one plate, so I had to ask for another one. My friend started putting some rice on her plate and realized it was cold. In fact the plate was hotter than the rice. At this point we just wanted to eat and get out of there so we didnt send it back. Nor did we send back the fajitas that we feared might break the knife when trying to cut through them. By far the best part of this restaurant was walking out and knowing not to ever come back.

I usually dont write reviews. In fact I cant remember when I wrote one for a restaurant. But after eating at this place I thought it will be helpful to others. We were visiting some sights in the area so I googled some restaurants that were near by. I saw all the good reviews and was looking forward to taking the family out to breakfast/lunch. It was quite disappointing. The food was some of the worst weve had in dining out. The vegetables were bland and rubbery and I usually love all kinds of veggies. The pancakes tasted like they had been stuck in a microwave to be reheated. When they brought out the syrup they brought a old looking bottle that was sticky of an off brand syrup. The waitresses were kind enough but were quite busy with a large group. The place is cute inside and has great potential...just needs to be a little cleaner. Maybe people come here for the French fries...they were pretty good:)

Visiting Glen Rose, Texas because my hubby is working the outage at CPNPP. He and I ate here one evening and I had the hamburger and he had the fajitas. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Our total bill equaled $31.00 (rounded off). They offer homemade tortilla chips with homemade salsa. Mm! Delicious. I have been back 3xs since that visit...doesnt help we are close to the restaurant. I have had the grilled chicken sandwich...awesome. It is the best sourdough bread I have had in a long time. The customer service at dine in was decent I would give that a 3.5 out of 5. The food 5 out of 5. The overall experience 4.5 out of 5. I would highly recommend the homemade tortilla soup. I had it to go but it was amazing and the cup was a 16 or 20 oz. Uncertain...sorry!!! Really good food and again for the quality of food it is well worth the visit and the price.

FOOD POISONING, avoid. My wife and I ate at Big Cup on Valentines evening 2016 (not much restaurant selection in Glen Rose, and most were closed on Valentines since it was Sunday). She had grilled shrimp, which made her violently ill on the way home. Vomiting, diarrhea, chills, cramps and body aches lasting nearly 24 hours. I had it the next day, but to a lesser degree since I had only one of her shrimp. We determined it was the shrimp since that was the only thing we both partook of on the table. I called the establishment and asked to speak to a manger and asked them to stop serving the shrimp. The lady who answered apologized but I never heard from a manager.

Service is TERRIBLE. There were not many people but we ran out of drinks a few times. When I asked for refills they almost acted like it was a burden. Food is mediocre at best. Veggies were rubbery. Burgers were dry. Fries tasted freezer burnt. Everything was under seasoned. The sweet tea tasted like it had been sitting for a week. Even the bacon didnt taste right. No one finished their food then we got the $60 check. Way too much for the quality that we got. Sould have gone to burger King instead. We will not be eating here again and we wouldnt recommend it. Im not sure what the other reviewers ate but we got 5 different things and no one was impressed.

Wow, worst burger Ive had in a long, long time... pre-made patties (not unusual), but the "beef to bone" content was more than I like to bite into... I also had 3 double (6 shots) of Makers mark Whiskey and that was a staggering hit to the pocket book. The whiskey alone was 45+ (the waitress told me later it was 14$ a double). I understand they are probably the only "BAR" in town and that this town is a tourist trap, but damn... I paid for the whole bottle when I should have drove down the road to the next Wet county and just bought the bottle for 30$. Avoid this place!

Be prepared to have your order wrong, me and my wife spent over $100 each month here and 7 times in 2 1/2 months they left out something we paid extra for and after addressing it there times the owner acted like she doesnt care at all basically said i dont care then didnt wanna provide a refund bc it wasnt a big deal according to her after the 8th and final time. Rude snappy teens running it too and no Im not an old person Im young to they are just rude!

Were always looking for independently owned restaurants when were on a road trip. This was a great find in a small town. Premises were clean and well-maintained. Wide variety on the menu: burgers, sandwiches, salads, steaks, chicken, Mexican fare. Lunch specials and all-day breakfast. Food was a bit slow coming from the kitchen but plentiful and tasty when it arrived. Dont hesitate to stop here.

I ordered the Big Cup Skillet for breakfast. Almost $10.00 just for the skillet. On the plus side the amount of food was more than I could eat. For a entree with hashbrowns, onions, peppers, bacon, sausage and 2 eggs it had absolutely no flavor. In all my life I have finished as many hashbrowns as you could put in front of me but not today.

My wife and I ate lunch here today, and were so glad we chose this place. It has a very casual and home-like atmosphere. The chicken fried steak was fantastic, and you couldnt have asked for better service. Whether youre passing through, or staying in Glen Rose, you wont be disappointed with these fine folks.
