My husband, College aged son and I had dinner here on a Saturday night. We ate indoors at the big square community table which had no wait time. Their wait times for the single tables indoors and a different weight time for the outside tables. It was decorated nicely with contemporary art paintings on the wall and the large bookcase with decorative items in it gave it a cozy feel next to those white walls. It is a very clean place and upscale looking. Most of the people were dressed business casual, especially the men and as typical women were mostly dressed up nicer than the men they were with. No this is not a very casual place for sloppily dressed people. I chose this restaurant because I saw online that they had gluten-free options. There are interesting dishes here that you dont find in every restaurant so I suggest you take a look at the menu before you go. There were a handful of things that both my husband and I wanted to try, salads and other interesting vegetable based dishes but we were all craving a burger so I had to burger without a bun because they dont offer a gluten-free bread product, and they also had the burgers. These were upscale burgers, we had the egg on it and the special bacon, it was really really good. You do not get one server assigned to you, the workers rotate. One thing that I did not like was the servers seem to stay in the kitchen except to deliver your food so there was never anyone coming around to check on us. We had a hard time getting anyones attention when we were finished eating. They never offered us dessert. When we finally got the check no one wanted to take the payment. I hate it when youre ready to go and they just ignore you. The food is not inexpensive here, I dont have a problem with that because this is high-quality food and it is not fast food nor is it boil in a bag which is what some of the chains do. This is real food. We will be back and I plan to purchase something that is not a burger and next time Ill dress a little nicer and treat it more like a date night. This is not a fine dining restaurant either though its more upscale than casual but its not fancy fancy food with fine dining service. 5 stars

Very trendy and nice. Im sure the food is delicious but have to let my dissatisfaction be known. We went in on a Sunday and were informed they had a 45 minute wait. No big deal. A hotel lobby was attached to had a very nice bar and made great French press coffee. We waited over there and checked our status after ~30 minutes. In this time several people who were waiting were seated. When we checked, there were 7 groups ahead of us. Seemed excessive but maybe a plug of tables were going to be finished and several groups would be seated at once. We went back and checked after 45 minutes and they told us it would be 45 more minutes. At this point we left and ate somewhere else. I wanted to say something at the time as I was fairly angry but but I didnt want to be angry with an empty stomach. I understand that this place is popular and wait times can be unpredictable. I do not appreciate when hostesses are dishonest and pretty clearly jusy want you to leave, something needs to be said. If the restaurant has a policy that they will seat hotel guests first, fine. Let us know that well never get a seat and well move along. If there were reservations that went unaccounted for in the initial estimate, fine. Its a mistake but it could have been mitigated when we checked 30 minutes in. Saying no one was getting up was a lie. Plenty of people were being seated. The attitude of the hostess was that we should leave so she didnt have to worry about us. I wasnt going to say anything but google keeps asking me to rate it and it stuck with me. I hope that the staff learns to better deal with customers in the future.

They do not take reservations, so the wait can be long. For a party for 2 on a Sunday at 11:00am, we were told itd be about a 45 minute wait...however we only waited 15 minutes so it depends on the crowd. The interior is purtayyy, I guess its more contemporary (dont hate on my limited interior vocab). I like how they have a variety of chairs; it adds to the unique feel. In regards to their pink neon sign..."I want that." (-Napolean Dynamite) For brunch we got the Avocado Toast and the Egg Sandwich. While I have no complaints about the food, I dont think Cafe No Se is a spot Id extremely want to come back to. The presentation of the food was great, but nothing special. I do like how they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner so its convenient if you stay in the South Congress Hotel. Otherwise a good boozy brunch place!

My quest to find the best burger in Austin brought me here to cafe no se for the "no se cheeseburger". The overall ambience of the restaurant was great, very rustic feel to it, fits right in with just about everywhere else In Austin. The burger I thought was ok, most of the flavor comes from the pickles, the sauce was pretty good as well...didnt think that the patties were very seasoned however, I asked for the malt fries, but I still got regular fries, which were great btw and also asked for bacon and avocado and didnt get that either. It was also an extra 2$ for lettuce and tomato, which is weird, but its also on south congress so it was to be expected. Overall it was a pretty good burger, but it a little over priced. (If you add all the fixins, it may be around 20$)

I love Cafe No Se! This is such a great gem on South Congress. The food is reasonably priced for the portions, and the atmosphere is great. I have always had outstanding service which I greatly appreciate. The manager, Russ is amazing & last night our server (Zeke) was so helpful and knew his menu. I was very hesitant to like this place when it first opened just because I am from Austin and I just keep seeing places come & go/ be overly priced with small portions and rude service. But I genuinely love this spot, its very high on my list of favorite places in town!! Go here for brunch, lunch or dinner. Also the pastries and all desserts are by far the best, everything is good. Not even exaggerating, Amanda Rockman KNOWS what she is doing. Keep it up yall!!!!

Overpriced, the brunch menu needs help! I know its SoCo, but still.... I had a mediocre burger, while everyone else got mediocre eggs; I ended up stealing the sides (romesco & arugula) from my friends and putting them on my burger, it definitely gave it the kick needed. The fries were great! Do not order the michelada, it tastes like someone dropped salsa in your beer, not good! Highlights: Banana PANCAKES oh my God, Those Pancakes!!!! Try them! Delicious!!!! Also the staff is super friendly and accommodating, the place is cute. I guess I would go back to try pastries, but nothing else....

The quality of food here is definitely wonderful & the customer service was great when someone was actually accessible. The open kitchen felt like I was sitting in my own breakfast nook. So much so that I really wanted to get up several times to get things myself bc the server was nowhere to be found. The food was great, but prices were too high. My total for lunch which included a small salad, tasty chicken dish, dessert & a coffee w/ shot of liquor which came out to $70. This pricing structure seems to be a common theme amoung restaurants attached to a hotel.
