We visited this place during January 2013. As always in order to write honest review, I am planning to judge them on Quality of Food, Taste of Food, and Quality of Service. Quality of Food - Quality of all food was very good. (dont order appetizer as they make in bulk for week and just heat it up and serve) Taste of Food - North Indian food was awesome (specially test of each dish). However, South Indian Food was very Salty. I understand level of salt varies between individuals, but this one was extra salty. Quality of Customer Service - Poor / Worst Our server was Nandita. First of all being a server/order taker one should know what they serve and what kind of variation they can make. I can understand that major variation are kind of depends on cook but minor one should be manageable. She was very rude and intolerable to begin with. She had only memorize one answer we dont daviate food from our Menu so what ever is written in Menu we will make that. When we requested that we want Vegitable Pakodas (which comes in combination of Chilli, Potato, and Onion) without Onion she told us that they dont do deviation. She also admitted that they make many days worth of pakodas and just heat them up as needed so it would be impossible to not have onnion in this appetizer. Also upon making all tolerances on our side when we order appetizer they did not bring chutnees until very end (close to main dish). Other instance was, when we ask for Onion and Chillies with Lemon on side with food. One teenager server dude brought a big bowl with just 1 Cillie (cut in 4 pcs) and 1 piece of onion (not one whole onion, just one pcs of onion). Imagine this for party of 16. When I asked him that where is onion (as it was hiding underneath 4 clilli pcs) he gave me look like it sufficient for group of 16 and it was very tough for him to go back and bring whole basket full of onion and lemon (please note we asked up front for extra charge for it). I think overall i would only recommend this for carry out as the cook (Bhimsing) is awesome. For Eat In its BIG NOOO NOOO Server Nandita acts like she owns restaurant and Cook and Other server act upon her approval only. I think the management needs to know this stuff. hopefully they read this and make necessary changes.

if you are looking for good SERVICE and good food, Do yourselves a FAVOUR by not going to this FLAVOURS. Go and eat from other fine Indian restaurants in the DFW area which provides very good service with good food. I went with my family and friends. The food was okay, The owner (the guy who stands in the front) of the restaurant is a very rude person. He behaves as if he is giving free food even though he charges comparatively higher than other Indian restaurants. He seems like he hates kids, and watches you like a hawk every time you go and take your buffet. We were charged tip twice (on top the tip you put on the table) when asked about it he told us, you take hundred plates and he provide the food only and customer have to wash all the plates,if tip shouldnt be included on the bill. Its not that we did not want to pay tip for a good service, its because he charged us tip twice on everybodys bill. We told him that we cannot wash plates after eating our buffet, and thats why we are paying you the buffet price and we shouldnt be charged tip twice, he gets very angry and yells in front of other customers. My friend told him to not raise his sound when talking, he says that is his place and he do whatever he wants. We felt like we went to place uninvited and got insulted. If you ask him about any dispute on the charge, he yells and starts screaming and will curse you in his Indian language. ; If his wife or that lady next to him in the counter try to answer your question he tells her "you shut up ,let me talk". This guy doesnt even have any good manners.

Hi, I bought a groupon but I am really disappointed with this. Fine print doesnt say that minimum order value should be $25 for redeeming this groupon. We first went for lunch 1 day (some 3 weeks back) and realized there that its not valid on lunch buffets so paid approx 32$ on that visit without using this. I was told to use them in ala-a-carte in dinner. Today (9/15/2016) we went for dinner and came to know minimum spending required is 25$ and only 1 coupon can be used at a time. On complaining with restaurants management, that lady rudely told to raise issue with groupon instead with them. I am so disappointed that I spend complete check of 44$ from my pocket instead of using this waste groupon. I am determined not to visit Flavors again now even groupon site itself, I already burnt my fingers and not happy with all incident. I am ready to take this loss of buying this groupon but will not visit flavors restaurant again.

Let me start off by saying I am an American. I think that is important to state when ranking an Indian food restaurant. I have been to a lot of other places in the Irving, Carrollton area but Flavors has the best food of all of them. The Chef is consistently GREAT! I have seen some bad reviews about the service. I want everyone to know that the place has been under new management for several months now and I could not be happier about the service. They are courteous, attentive and helpful in describing the dishes. My wife and I love the buffet because we want to eat a bit of some things while also getting the Chicken Tikka Masala. When we introduce our friends to Indian food this is the first and only place we go. We want to make sure that they are going to have a great experience and we know they will with Flavors. P.S. Prices are fair and a good value.

I chose Flavors Indian Restaurant today, because when I walked by I smelled different aromas of pleasantly cooked food. The chef at Flavors Indian Restaurant definitely has an advanced palate and can cook with perfection. The flavor of the food is deliciously decadent and unique. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. First I tried the Hakka Noodles with shredded vegetables and boneless chicken. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the taste was exquisite. The only thing that could have made this dish any better, is if boneless lamb and shrimp was added. The second dish I tried was the Chicken Tikka, it too was delicious. It had a nice sear and practically no fat. Both Sauces that was served on the side taste good with the dish and together. I definitely look forward to trying some dishes from this restaurant in the near future.

This is one indian place where I wouldnt mind eating everyday at. Do not be fooled by the lack of patrons at this place. Their main entrees are what Indian food should taste like, it doesnt have that distinct smell or taste of frozen prepared food and is fresh. I often order spicy and it just kicks my taste bud right. They have Kingfisher beer which is another +1 in my eyes. The only reason I took one star is because the server (and I believe the only server) is weird and too over zealous. He could have said a few things better on phone when I had ordered over phone (they do not do delivery but another company does, so its not their fault, but he could have been polite on phone.)
