Looking for an uncomfortable night of being shamed and disrespected? Head to the brass door. I showed up late to meet friends and had one beer. I didnt leave a tip for the one beer because it took the bartender at 10 minutes to get my drink even though we were the only patrons, he seemed to be upset that he couldnt watch the Grizzlies playoff game. As I was leaving the bartender looked right at me, flipped me off, and yelled across the bar "thanks for the tip a**hole." It felt like he was trying trying to pick a fight or something. Its no surprise to me that when the rest of downtown Memphis is crowded and busy with a Redbirds baseball game and playoff Grizzlies game, this place was dead and empty. Anyway, you lost not only my but my friends future business over a $1 tip that you didnt deserve in the first place. I hate to blame an entire bar for one guy being a jerk, but he represented your business about as poorly as possible. Theres a lot of great places to go in downtown Memphis, the brass door is not one of them.

What an authentic pub! They had a viewing room for the champions map upstairs, cold drafts, attentive staff, and just all around great time. We tried the fish and chips and our friend got the Ruben, and wow! The food was better than expected. Prices were fair for a tourist town. Everyone was friendly. We had a great time, hope to be back.

Since it is Saint Patricks Day, they had a limited menu; however, it was amazing! The corned beef was falling apart, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth. Their burger was brilliant, juicy, and flavorful. I have never had corned beef or a burger that was so wonderful!

Cool pub in the downtown area. Seems to be the Arsenal spot in town (new to area). Food is decent, wait staff is nice and they show the BPL games during the season. Id rather go to Celtic though (partial towards their menu and more LFC supporters!)

We rented space for an elopement party of about 65 friends and family. Everything was perfect; food, drinks, music. Staff was proactive and went the extra mile to keep everything running smoothly. Thank you Scott, Seamus, Davy and entire staff!!!

Never ever will I go back again....one star is way too much. We got served one drink and then cut off FOR NO REASON. Stupid....locals were served as much as they wanted. Out of town people DONT BOTHER rude and ridiculous!!!!

Website said they were open. The restaurant itself was closed and the pub owner stated they were only open for the football (soccer) game. No information on the door. Waste of time for Sunday breakfast

That curry sauce, though. Ive been on Saturdays mornings and week nights. Fun both times. My wedding party met up here and they were good with a big party (thanks, Skully!) Shepherds pie is legit.

Not sure whos writing these reviews but its either an employee or theyre drunk before they got here. Out of most beers... No Rye whiskey... Food really bad

Great Shepherds Pie and High Cotton Scottish Ale. Old bank building is fascinating and comfortable. Love the signature panels above the bar.

Great atmosphere. Pricey but tasty limited food options. Ask about the history of the bar they had imported from Ireland.

Nice Irish pub . Large selection of beers. Food is decent. I usually order the fish and chips . You wont be disappointed.
