I had the chicken jambalaya and every bite was better than the last an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Red beans and rice also very good. If your into wings I recommend the blackened voodoo wings. They are now accepting debit and credit cards so you dont need to find an atm for cash. Get there early as they get crowded fast. The only negative is that they arent open past 3pm or the weekends.

When most people think of down to earth local restaurants in Memphis its barbecue. I think of this. Great family atmosphere and the best food in Memphis. Though it may not appear much, this place is great. The Voodoo Wings are some of the best wings you can get, the burgers are delicious, and the french dip is also good. I would highly recommend this place.

Great food! You have to try the Gumbo! The service is great and very friendly, and food comes out quick from the kitchen. You need to try it, oh the Italian sub or ham and Swiss subs are amazing. THERE IS A REVIEW THAT SAYS CASH ONLY, THEY HAVE ADDED A CARD MACHINE!

Best deal in downtown. Cash only is a negative. Fast friendly service, small space limited on seating. A noontime favorite for locals, very worth the trip, take out available. Crowds are served quickly so do not let long lines scare you away, it moves quickly.
