Great place, with fantastic customer service. Charlie has been a smiling face, an open book of knowledge, and always made us feel welcome since we were kids coming in there with my parents and GRANDparents. His new co-owner could smile, or at least be happy, or even just pretend to not be annoyed by our presence. If he cant be happy he should stay in the back and refrain from scowling at the customers. Theres a schnucks across the street and a dierbergs 2 minutes away buddy. We come here, because of the people, and the quality. Its sure as hell not for the bargain pricing, and your sour puss.

Cheaters or business people? They offer one price, but charge another!!! I needed a whole pig for our big birthday party around 50-55 pounds (at price $3.99/lb), but I was advised to get a 60 lbs pig, because price would be $3.29/lb. I agreed (why not) and ordered one 60 pound pig plus cooking (for some extra price). When I came back to pick it up I was charged $3.99/lb, because weight of that fresh pig (who knows) was under 61 lbs!!! They spoiled my party and I never will be back, as well as not going to send to them my friends. Ones again: Cheaters or business people?

Was in search of a local place that would do bulk order of BBQ pulled pork and "Buffalo" style shredded chicken for a party, most places we called would not do the buffalo style chicken - Matekers was more than happy to oblige and they exceeded expectations!! We also ordered both styles of coleslaw that were delicious!
