Food is always delicious BUT...on this particular visit the service was definitely below standard. I ordered a breakfast croissant and a coffee. The coffee station was out of half and half, the mug was coffee stained and lipstick on the rim. The server informed me that the cafe was completely out of half and half and rudely walked away. I asked for a glass of water and she handed me yet another dirty glass, wet and lipstick on the rim. I ended up asking for a plastic cup and and to go coffee cup. I frequent this particular location and I am usually pleased with the food and service but today, I was simply disappointed. Brighter note, although I would have liked my coffee with a little cream and to have my water from a real glass, I really enjoy the atmosphere of international neighbors and pleasant conversations. It wont stop me from coming here but hopefully next time Ill experience a bit better service.

The best way to tell you about La Madeleine is to describe my first experience there. I walked in the door to utter pandemonium. People lined up at the counter and bunched up near the door as others pushed past to get out, go in, go over there, go who knows where. I quickly figure out I need a tray. I feel briefly accomplished unit I make eye contact with the salad lady, the first stop on the line. What? Do I even want salad? Yes, ok... The salad lady steers me toward a strawberry thing with chicken..sure. Slide down and sort of choose soup and a little parfait and a drink. Pay, and head into the pseudo posh Renaissance-esque interior to a super rustic tavern-like bench table. Are those swords on the wall? Yes. Then, I taste the tomato bisque soup, and time stops as the noise fades. There is nothing but me and the soup, salad, and parfait. So very yummy! Ill be back! There was also a dessert counter..yum!

Food is good but they *really* need to improve their carry out process. I walked in and saw the dine in line went all the way to the door. I decided carry out would be the safer option. I had one person ahead of me, and she had already placed her order, but the manager mistakenly rang her up again. Then both the manager and carry out attendant disappeared. They came back a few times, but nobody took my order. I watched as the dine-in line completely cleared from the door to the counter 3 separate times. Calling the order in would not have helped, as there was simply not a dedicated carry out attendant. I had a similar incident 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately this place has been crossed off my list of lunch places. Such a shame! They get 3 stars because the food is actually decent.

Amazing, delicious food, excellent staff!!! I was driving through Gwinett when I got a craving for salmon. I googled lunch spots nearby and this restaurant pulled up. Looked like I could get a gourmet sandwich there so I chose it. Im usually not a picky eater but being pregnant I asked to customize my own sandwich and they did. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating to my preggo needs. The salmon sandwich was delicious and their signature tomato basil soup was to die for. I even bought a jar of it to take home. Great experience and will revisit again when passing through.

Cafeteria style was not what I expected. Good enough for lunch; not so much for dinner. Food was good but overall experience was lacking. However, I did not appreciate the teenage cashier informing me my 2nd glass of wine would be my last as they could only pour two glasses per customer. Really? They will sell me a bottle but I can only get two glasses. Im glad they know whats best for this 62 year old male. Think I will patronize a restaurant for adults. At least the food was good.

Atmosphere and food are exceptional. The moment you walk inside the restaurant you are met with a whiff of aromatic smells. The food is very good but I would recommend the Pastries and the tomato soup. NO other restaurant can beat their tomato soup. The atmosphere is very homely with even a fireplace that is lit up during the winters. Although the restaurant can get a little too crowded at times, I would recommend La Madeleine to anyone.

Dont let this hole in the wall buffet-style cafe fool you; the food is good. REAL good. Everything they serve is in point and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. My family got together while we were all in town and ended up spending multiple hours here and multiple trips back to get additional items from their menu as we passed time catching up. If youre visiting or a regular to the area, dont miss this spot.

The place was busy and some of the tables were fairly close together. It is not normal table service, you walk down a line and order, picking up some items on a tray and taking a table marker for the delivery of others. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The soup was delicious. The mini baguette was good, but definitely not a traditional crusty French baguette.

This cafe has the best atmosphere. They have some true French cuisine. Have not had a bad dish yet. I suggest the rosemary herb chicken or the roasted salmon in creamy dill sauce. Also, you must get a bowl of their French onion soup it is the best I have ever had. I go here at least two to three times a month. Definitely suggest anyone to dine here.

Amazing food, Great atmosphere, and lovely service. This place is one of the best small restaurants Ive ever been in. With delicious selections prepared in delicate fashion, Ive loved every bite at Madeleine. Ive never had a bad experience here and recommend this place to all my friends. Ill always be a customer here and come back for more.

Delicious food but you have got to work on wait time and customer service. My third time this week and my wait time 30 minutes and my order never came back with all items. I was told they were cooking my items but they never came back. Just forgot me. Guys you can do better. Please.

The setup was rather confusing we had to ask a lot of questions in order to figure out how the ordering process was completed. Upon arrival of the food some of it had clearly been sitting out for a while. The two additional entrees we ordered 5 minutes after each other.

The food couldnt be any better! They have a great ambiance to sit and chat. The fireplace is wonderful in the winter, and their tomato basil soup will make you slap your mother. Still, it can sometimes be a little messy inside. Id give it a 4.5 if that were an option.

I love the food and atmosphere here even though its a chain. The only thing that stinks is that the service is slow and the line gets very backed up at lunch time. Ive even tried to order ahead and pick up but it took a while to get my food.
