This is in reference to invoice number 171528-1. My wife and I ordered from El Charro on April 8th at around 8:23 pm. We were told we would receive our order around 9:23 pm, and in fairness it arrived before that. My problem stems from your driver. At around 9:09 pm he called saying he was lost, which I fully understand, as our apartment complex is quite labyrinthine. I was attempting to not only understand where he was, but also formulate in my mind where we were in relation to that. I know very little about the complex beyond our building, but I tried to help as much as I could. I was told that I had a terrible sense of direction and that I wasnt helping at all. I put some slippers on and went outside to flag the driver down. he was unable to see me, and when he finally did, he muttered an expletive loud enough for me to hear. As he was handing me our food I tried to apologize, saying "Yeah man, Im sorry about all that, I just know the buildings get lower in number as they go further in--" I was cut off and he rudely said "Just dont, it wont even sink in." I never complain. This is literally the first time I ever have, and Im thirty years old. Ive worked retail and telemarketing, so I understand that vitriolic hatred of customers from time to time, but in no way was I being unreasonable, in fact I went out of my way to ensure he got his job done without having to drive around for hours. I will not order from Doorstep Delivery again, and unfortunately for your business, this was the first time I had. You had a new customer slip through your fingers in a simple moment that could have been avoided. Terrible customer service; worst I have personally ever seen.

My husband and I have ordered from Doorstep Delivery for quite awhile and have never had a problem. Our issue started when the delivery driver called us 15 minutes past our expected delivery time and said that it would be another 15 minutes before our food is even cooked at the restaurant, not to mention the drive time after. This means that we would have our food in hand approximately 2 hours after we ordered. That is unacceptable. We obviously did not want to wait that remaining 30-45 minutes to get our food so we called to cancel. The manager was very blunt and stated that if we cancel our order that we will not be able to order from them again. This is nothing but bad business practice. We have been loyal customers, ordering from them 10+ times. I can understand if a customer calls to cancel multiple times but to drop a customer after 1 issue seems rather excessive. The manager accepted no responsibility and only tried to force us to keep our order. We hope that these actions and approach to conflict do not reflect the core values of Doorstep. We have no issue using this company again as we would rather give our money to a company who values their customers much higher than Doorstep.

I placed an order through Doorstep Delivery today for the first time. Ordered a burger and salad from The Alley but was only given the salad from the delivery. First, I called the restaurant and they said they cooked the burger and gave it to the delivery man from Doorstep. I then called Doorstep to tell them I never got my burger, and then they accused me of LYING and that the delivery guy was "one of there best workers" and he would not ever get a delivery wrong. He then hung up the phone on me. From there my boyfriend and I then drove to there office location to straighten things out for them to tell us we were "kinda ridiculous" for wanting my 30$ meaI that I already paid for. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. I work in the food industry as well and would never say such words to any customer no matter how annoying they may been. Never ordering from here again.

90% of the problems this company experiences with the restaurants themselves is due to the fact that they do not tip out restaurant servers for 1) dropping everything to answer the phone and ring in an order, 2) put the order together, 3) deal with the amateur drivers who get paid to simply drive the order to the customer. Drivers are often rude and dont check the order before taking it. This is highly inconvient, especially on a busy night. As a togo server, I could do without your business because I have other customers who might actually tip me. Simply put, I basically work for Doorstep Delivery for free. It just seems silly that a driver can be tipped $52 on a particularly difficult $76 order just for playing on his phone and driving it to a house. Tip out restaurant employees and youll probably see better business.

I ordered a gift certificate to be delivered to an address in Knoxville on 8/22/2016 at 11:10:38. I received a receipt for the order stating the estimated delivery time to be 8/23/2016 at 12:15 AM. The invoice # is 132890-1. I charged it to my credit card. It was not delivered. I tried calling the listed # and several times it said no one was available. I had the recipient living in Knoxville to call them. All they would say to them was that they only take orders. I believe this ridiculous outfit to be a scam and sure wouldnt refer it ti any friends. Any reputable outfit would be glad for the business. They brag about how good they are on the website and give pictures and bios of all the organizers. They appear to me to be a bunch of scam artists or else my order would have been delivered.

I have loved having this service available in this area! The only reason that I didnt give this a 5 star review is because there are things you definitely do NOT want to order through them. You have to understand that you are sending someone in their own car to go and pick up food for you, so the food may not be steaming hot when it reaches you. I am 100% fine with that, but I do caution people who are thinking about using Doorstep. Dont order anything that is super liquidy or could easily slosh around. You are setting yourself up for disaster. My husband and I love ordering chinese food through Doorstep, and it always makes it to our apartment within 10-15 minutes of when it says it will be here. Great drivers and amazing service!

I have ordered from this place several times, including at my current address. Today I ordered food from this same company, and according to them they had left two voicemails on my phone. My phone never rang, so 15 minutes after the delivery guy was supposed to show I called them. I was informed by a General Manager that they had made a company wide decision to not deliver to my current address any longer due to "issues" they have supposedly had in the last couple of months. There was no notification of such an issue on their website, and nothing indicating they could no longer deliver here. I have wasted roughly an hour and a half waiting for food that was never on its way...I will most likely not be ordering here again.
