Horrible. Group of three were here for well over an hour. We saw our waiter, Lucio, a total of MAYBE 5mins. That was when he took our orders. Food was.. okay at best. Not really what we ordered and had little flavor. Not to mention the rubber (shrimp).. Another man refilled our drinks (after they were all empty for 10 mins) and yet another had to get us an extra box.. that we had asked for 20mins earlier. Our check finally came, by yet another man. He explained that our waiter mixed up our tickets and another group had paid for ours (about $8 more) and we were to pay theirs. Which was fine. THEN a woman came.. asked for our ticket, snatched it, handed me another while saying "this is yours. You pay this." AFTER ours had already been paid.. guess they needed that extra money. Needless to say.. no tip was left. Which was hard considering we usually leave at least 15%... we will NOT return to this location. Will stick to the one on J.B.Dennis...

This place is a disgrace to real mexican food!!! The food was a pathetic attempt. We were referred here by several locals who obviously do not know what good mexican food is. There is several locations here in town & must only make it because no one know better. You are better off getting something at Taco Bell then to waste your money here. My 7 yr old knows how to make better guacamole then what they threw on the table & the beans were no doubt heated up from a can. I could go on about how horrible this place is but Id rather forget as well as my stomach wants me to as well.

Affordable authentic Mexican food. I see some negative reviews, but I personally have never once had a negative experience here. I have been coming to this location specifically for over 10 years and have never had an issue. It never takes longer than 10 minutes to get my food. Staff is friendly and professional. Building is a little old and could use some updates but still a local favorite with great food. Margaritas are good too. Just a little weak for my liking. Give them a try! Busy times are at nights but I have NEVER had to wait longer than a few minutes to be seated.

GO HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR CARRY OUT ORDER TO BE MESSED UP, THINGS LEFT OUT, AND TO BE CALLED A LIAR!! THE "MANAGEMENT" ADAM IS A PIECE OF WORK THAT DIDNT AND WILL NOT HELP!! I CALLED MY ORDER( WHICH WAS REPEATED BACK TO ME CORRECTLY OVER THE PHONE) IN GOT HOME AND A LARGE PORTION WAS LEFT OUT AND HAD TO GO BACK . THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES PRIOR. ITS WAS USUSUALLY SOMETHING SMALL BUT NOT THIS TIME. I WAS SHOWN A RECEIPT WITH THE WRONG ITEMS AND THAT WAS ALL. FOR $42.00 I EXPECT BETTER!! WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LA CARRETTA AGAIN AND WILL BE CONTACTING THE OWNER.

I found a huge hair in my food the other day. Prices keep going up as the food and service gets worse. This place used to be ok but has turned into a dive. If you want mexican food in kingsport i would suggest going to chilis and ordering the fajitas for the same price.

La Caretta in Kingsport TN is the best,most authentic Mexican food in town. New Mexican restaurants keep popping up, but they never last. La Caretta is THAT GOOD!! I looooove the Chori Pollo

My wife likes a good Taco Salad, but the one at La Carretta had so much "liquidy" stuff in it, it was Taco Slop. She couldnt eat it. The one at Taco Bell is better.
