This is an excellent restaurant run by a wonderful family! I was shown the upmost hospitality when I visited both the Green Chili restaurant and the Indian Mart next door. I was informed by Ramesh, the owner, that the food they serve is more reflective of Central Indian cuisine, unlike other restaurants in the area which serve Northern Indian food. The flavors were warm and full, with layered complexity of spices and textures. As a vegetarian, I was impressed by the variety of meatless food they had available in their buffet! The detailing of the artwork, the trim work, the lights, and all other decorations were are accomplished by hand by Ramesh and his family - and they did a beautiful job. I loved all the photography they had displayed! And Indian Mart next door had such a fantastic and unique collection of items - I was able to purchase Indian beverages, essential oils, toothpaste, Masala Chai tea, and ingredients for Indian cooking at home! I was warmly welcomed here by the kindness of my hosts and the food they served. I highly recommend this restaurant to all!

finally Indian food in the Rivergate area! the lunch buffet looked fresh and tasty, one person in our group decided the buffet was perfect and enjoyed it very much. the rest of us decided to order appetizers and lunch from the menu. all the menu ordered food is prepared at the time its ordered, very fresh and very delicious, lovely presentations with the appetizers, important thing to remember when you have only an hour for lunch, ultimately one hour was not enough time. be prepared to select from a wonderful variety of dishes on the menu, as in allow that time as well. the waitstaff was very thorough when explaining uses of flavors and sauces. food was delish. staff friendly and knowledgable, this restaurant has found its footing I hope u find it!!!

Unlike some Indian places, Ive found Green Chilis spice levels to be spot on. Medium is actually medium, and for the non-spicy food lovers the Samosas or the Kormas or Butter Chicken are fine. Still have the balance of flavors like a fine wine; the chef really knows how to do it. Spotlessly clean and excellent service; cloth napkins at dinner, and they are excited to share their knowledge of exactly what is in each recipe. The website is actually better than the menu for descriptions & photos of each dish, but the waitstaff is very patient and friendly. SO GLAD this place is relatively close to my home! Their food is as good as Woodlands, and that is a REAL compliment!

Was searching on google for an Indian restaurant. Green Chili Indian restaurant showed up . So I followed the map . It is tucked away from the main road. When I saw it I was not sure about it. Decided to go inside and give it a try. Wow was I impressed. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere , clean. Great Indian food. Actually it was the best India restaurant that I have ever ate at. Would highly recommend giving this restaurant I try I will definitely be a regular customer now

My boyfriend loves Indian food. I like lamb and naan. This place was a great date night. The outside was sketchy (very - especially at night), but the inside is very nice and upscale. They have buffet during lunch, a large private room for parties/meetings, and friendly service. We were greeted at the door, service was timely and my boyfriend loved his food (Lamb Korma). The naan was delicious! Its also attached to a large Indian Market.

Never would have thought to try this place, as it is in a weird location under the overpass. But good ratings and a Groupon brought its here. It was awesome.cool vibe and interior. Excellent service and staff! Our waiter was very helpful in clarifying our order and making suggestions. And of course the food was GREAT from start to finish. Will definitely be returning.

The service is terrific. I am on crutches and went at lunch. The waiter went to the buffet and made a plate for me so I didnt have to get up and then went back for anything I wanted more of. Our drinks were constantly being refilled. The food is delicious (even my kids enjoyed it) and there is plenty on the buffet.

This is among the best Indian food you will find in the greater Nashville area. Extensive menu and a good selection of beer. The family that owns and run the place are terrific and they go out of their way to please. I go there at least two to three times a month. It never gets boring. Ive not had a bad meal yet.

These guys make really, really good Indian food! I would have to say that it was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. The restaurant was clean and had great atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, friendly and chatty. I hope we get the chance to eat here again before leaving Nashville.

Very spacious, new restaurant. Great service and has some different dishes than you normally see at indian restaurants. Best samosas ive ever had! I give only 4 stars because we ordered the chicken vindaloo and tika masala and the gravy was exactly the same for both dishes.

This is the closest Indian restaurant to hendersonville/gallatin area. But that doesnt mean its not a diamond in rough. Tucked back near the mall its a bit hard to find, but the buffet was delicious. Their dinner prices are reasonable and the staff polite and attentive.

I love this place! Their Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Massala is so good! I also recommend the Tandoori Mix Grill it can feed 2 but I would rather eat the whole plate myself! The staff there is very friendly and curtious! I definetly recommend eating at Green Chili!

Though I worked in Indian restaurant but never had the foods like that of green chilli...the atmosphere inside is cool.not need to wait for parking and the owner n employees are friendly n talkative...impatience to go back again n hav the delicious food over there...

I had a wonderful first experience at Green Chile -- the food was AMAZING & the service was incredibly friendly and efficient. My boyfriend & I brought our own bottle of wine to enjoy and they were accommodating in every way. I will definitely be back soon!

I recommend both the buffet and dining in for dinner or takeout. The food is always fresh tasting and the service is great and attentive. It also feels good to support a family run business that knows how to make great food!

VERY good food...wonderful chai tea. I "treat" myself to their buffet for lunch once a week or so. I live across town so it isnt exactly convenient, but should give you a clue at how good it is!! So happy to find them!!

I love this place! I used to go to Sitar in downtown Nashville but no more. The people that run it are very nice and attentive and Ive known them for years(used to get Indian food at their Indian Mart next door
