I went there for lunch.When i came inside ,the waitress didnt greeted us and she just watched us. It was ok she could not see us. But after that ,she said us very rude and made long face. We didnt do anything and i think she ignored us because we are asian. When i finished the meal ,she came our seat and took away our dishes with some chinese word. I was so angry because of her rude behavior. So i said to her if she have problem of me or angry at me. It was terrible restaurant i ever been in cookville. The rude waitress was only one who ignored asians i ever met in cookeville. I am so sorry to being asian sucks

Ive been eating at this place semi-regularly for nearly a decade and its always been solid. Its best if you order off the menu though. The buffet is (as with every Chinese restaurant Ive eaten at) hit and miss depending on how fresh the food is. It can be particularly dreadful if you come in between lunch and dinner (say, about 4pm) - most of the food has obviously been sitting around for a while. Still, though, service has always been top notch when Ive gone and the food, as I said, I solid as long as you order off the menu.

My girlfriend, mother, and myself were craving some chinese that wasnt Sakura. So we decided "lets go eat a chinese buffet". Worst. Decision. Ever. The food was old, the waitress rushed us to leave because her shift was almost over when we walked in, we couldnt get refills on our drinks, and the whole place seemed dirty and not taken care of. I am never returning here to eat ever again.

We have eaten at Taste Of China so many times I cant count. We usually get to go for parties and family birthdays. I cannot imagine going anywhere else in Cookeville and I have tried them all. The pan fried dumplings are amazing and the pork fried rice is the best we have ever had. The service is always good and we always recommended it to our friends.

I got the Hunan Chicken and it tasted like dog food. I think the water chestnuts were rotten (they were brown) and that may have been the cause. Anyway, I will not be eating at this dump ever again. Sure the prices are great, but I would rather pull roots out of my back yard and eat them for free than eat that rotten garbage ever again.

I get that everyones experiences differ, but Ive been eating here for years fairly regularly(one of the closest restaurants to my home) and Ive never had a bad experience with the food, staff, or service here. I highly recommend A Taste of China for a nice, affordable meal if youre in the area.

Impromptu lunch with hubby. Not being in our town, asked Google for a recommendation for Chinese food close to our location. We were directed here. Staff was attentive, buffet food was refill and maintained at a warm temperature. Price for the buffet was very affordable. Lots of choices.
