My buddies and I stopped in for some Sichuan last night. We were presented with two different menus each. The rather lovely, young waitress told us that one is for American clients, the other for Chinese. We of course, opted for the authentic Chinese menu. Were all adventurous sorts. After deliberating for what seemed like forever, our lovely, young waitress suggested a couple of dishes. We followed her advice, plus Wayne got an eggplant dish. We were surprised how quickly the food arrived, but then by the flavors! Ditch the "gringo" menu folks, the good stuff is on the Chinese menu! Not to say that the gringo food isnt top-notch, it is very good. Its just not really Chinese food, its American-ized like every other "Chinese" menu in the USA. I must say, my mouth was on fire, and Im pretty accustomed to jalapenos and such. But it was too tasty to stop! They had me! Go there, my adventurous friend. Be bold. Face the fire. Youll be warmed and filled, and a permanent fan of Sichuan Chili!

This is definitely hands down the best Chinese food in Cincinnati. Whether you order from the "american style" Chinese menu - or the authentic Sichuan menu - you can not go wrong. The servers and the owner are very friendly - I highly recommend ordering from the Sichuan menu - its absolutely delicious and we very fortunate to have this option in Cincinnati. If youre not sure what to order, refer to the handy menu items pictured on the in restaurant televised menu - or ask your server. The restaurant will be jam packed on Friday, Saturday nights for dinner - and rightly so. I have waited up to an hour for dinner and have gladly waited for my delicious meal. If you dont like to wait - I suggest going for dinner early - as early as 5:00 - or trying for a late lunch on Saturday or Sunday. Delish!

When I moved to Blue Ash in the Cincinnati area, I could not find a good Oriental restaurant. Korean, Chinese or otherwise. Most cater to the American palette. Though American born, I am 1/4 Asian (Southern Chinese - Siamese) and most of my family is mixed with Filipino. I enjoy Asian cooking but having grown up in an Asian family in the San Francisco/Oakland area and spoiled on GOOD Asian cooking I am rather particular about how it is prepared. Sichuan Chili is by far the best I have experienced in this area. I have been here about 10 months and when I first arrived this restaurant was not here. It opened some time after. Glad I did some checking and found this true Chinese gem. Anyone who enjoys lamb must try the lamb with scallions. Unbeatable quality, taste and quantity for the price.

I been to this restaurant for 3 times, finally I felt I have to make decision that I will never go to Sichuan Chill and here is why. I think they use way too much MSG, my lips felt weird after ate their food. They use very low quality meat, you can tell they were definitely not fresh. People was not friendly, they were talking loud and fussing with each other in public. They treat people differently which really makes me sick! Nobody checked your satisfaction about your food during the meal, nobody greeting with you when you were leaving. If you do care about your health and like a happy/fair environment to have your meal, I will say 10 thousands NO to this restaurant!!!

I have traveled to Malaysia, Hong Kong and all over Asia and I will say that the Americanized Chinese is nothing like true traditional Chinese. Sichuan Chili Chinese is as close as it gets to true authentic traditional Chinese cuisine. The food is simply amazing. If youre looking for the Westernized Chinese, they do have a menu for that too, but Id highly recommend doing yourself a favor and order some traditional dishes. You wont be disappointed. Prices are more than fair too!

Am from out of town and tried this place because of all the positive reviews. Had a bad experience though so idk what people are talking about.. Wonton soup was bland, pork tasted funny. Also didnt see anything about them using peanut oil but when my got my general tso it tasted just like nasty peanut butter, no chicken flavor at all. Service was okay but prices overall are ridiculous for the quality. But maybe I just ordered the wrong things. Will not recommend

I gave it a median point cause the reviews are either top five stars or low one star, making me wonder how bipolar the impressions are this rest give its customers. I ve been there couple of times since I live around. the good thing is this is the only sichuan rest in Cincinnati where you dont have much choices when it comes to taste Chinese food. the bad things are all the same among Chinese rest. dirty it is.

I have been there once for take-out lunch on the recommendation of a fellow foodie. The staff was very friendly and didnt mind discussing the menu w/ a first time customer. The meal, even after being transported back to my office and eaten out of a styrofoam container (wish they had something other than styrofoam) was very good. Im looking forward to going back and sitting down for a meal.

Very authentic Sichuan cuisine. The restaurant has the "traditional" dishes you see in all Chinese restaurants in America, but the Sichuan dishes are authentic dishes. The vegetable dishes are also authentic Chinese dishes. Had the Dan Dan Noodles, Sichaun Bo-Bo Chicken (very spicy), Baby Bok-choy w/minced garlic, and eggplant w/garlic sauce. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant! There are hundreds of items on multiple menus here. You can order non-spicy Americanized "Chinese" food which is good, or order the real deal from the authentic Sichuan menu. If you like spicy at higher levels, try the Bo-Bo chicken and the sizzling beef/lamb. If you can handle spicy to a certain extent, try the twice cooked pork.

Amending this review. They have ingredient quality issues. The spiciness can mask the age of, especially the fish. Earlier review below. Best Chinese food in Cincinnati. I personally love the spicy boiled fish and the eggplant & pork. Friendly staff and amazingly efficient kitchen that has the food out in just a few minutes.

Had the sichuan sizzling lamb.... OMG! Best Chinese lamb dish Ive ever had. This place has 2 menus, typical Chinese food youd get in America, and truly authentic Chinese food. If youre coming here, put your big girl panties on and try the real stuff! Try something youve never had...I had jellyfish!!

Serice was very fast and curtious. I swear the food came 5 minutes after i ordered! Lunch specials were awesome with large portions. Beef and broccoli was very good and the hot and sour soup was perfect. This is definetly the place to go for asian in this area! I highly recommend trying it!

The food was very good and hot. This was the 2nd time we have eaten here. The first time the lady made a comment about how much food we ordered to go. It shouldnt matter how much we order just as long as we have the money to paid for it. Other than that geeat service.

Food is amazing, waitress staff is rude and condescending. They talk about customers in front of their face because Americans dont speak their language - I know whats said and how they criticize me and call me names for leaving "not enough" of a tip.
