Not sure why my unsatisfied review on the Cakes and Sweets by CeCe fb page was deleted off her page. She thanked me for her review, then it was gone. I gave CeCe a picture of my daughters cake that had fondant on it with happy birthday and her age that was from the DreamWorks Home movie. My daughter only eats red velvet cake and so she wanted red velvet with cream cheese icing cake and cupcakes. What we got was an overcooked dry cake that looked like it had been halfway decorated with gooey fondant to where the cake sunk in while being cut. My nephew in front of everyone asked if it was a fake cake while it was being cut, which was quite embarassing. Nobody ate the cake, my daughter the birthday girl asked me why I didnt go back to the old place (Sweetest Batch Bakery) to get her cake. Well they only do red velvet cupcakes and my daughter wanted a cake. So thats the only reason why I went elsewhere. But you know the saying, stick to what you know, and I shouldve. My daughters cake did not have happy birthday anywhere on it, nor did it have her age on it. It also did not look as detailed as the pic that I wanted. I feel like CeCe was overbooked to where she couldnt give my babys cake 100%. She claimed she did 5 cakes that day and that there were no problems with the other 4. The other 4 looked 10 times better than my daughters and for what I paid, my daughters cake and cupcaked shouldve looked and tasted better. She has a no refund policy, but in this case a refund shouldve been given. CeCe wanted to remake the cake, but what for, my daughters birthday was done and honestly it wouldve been the same quality since she claimed to have put her all into it. Another reason why she will never make a cake or cupcake for me was because she was rude and stated " you asked for fondant and if it was gooey then thats how it is". Thats not something to be said to an unsatisfied paying customer. You cant redo a birthday that has already happened and sadly this year her cake was horrible.

As soon as you walk into Cakes and Sweets by CeCe, you are hit in the face with the smell of sweet goodness! It is a cute little shop and she has an even cuter little party room. CeCe isnt just a talented cake decorator, she offers a variety of sweets such as cupcakes, cake pops, boozie berries (chocolate covered strawberries with liquor!), and so much more. She does beautiful work and did an exquisite job on my wedding cake. The flowers were so delicate and it tasted amazing! I definitely recommend you let CeCe decorate your next cake.
