Workers are rude AF! Especially the cashier! It was my first time to eat at this place and I wanted a pizza. I saw pizza on the kids menu , I did not know that they had pizza for adults in the menu. I was ordering pizza from the kids menu and the cashier was like "That is only for 10 and below. Are you 10?!" This is my first and last visit at this place! Will never come back again! They are probably racist too cause im asian and I noticed that they are nice to white people. If you are not white I would not recommend coming to this place!!

I like the homey atmosphere with the worn hard wood flooring, art work and old world design. The price is a bit high for two eggs, bratwurst and a coffee. The fried eggs have no buttery or greasy taste and the bratwurst is the best. All the staff have been very friendly and make me feel right at home, although sufficient staff is not always on hand to service all the customers. A bit expensive for a meal that is half bread. Too bad they covered up the worn hardwood flooring which gave the old world feeling.

Ordered the spinich pizza, and we were waiting about 15 minutes, when one of the ladies came out and said it was burnt, so they were making a second one. 10 minutes later they came out and said they dropped it. After vast apologies and free cheese bread, the pizza finnaly arrived. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Even after waiting as long as we did. I didnt mind waiting at all. The environment is calming and i enjoyed sitting and enjoying the atmosphere. Ill definitely be back very soon. 5 stars!

Went to grab some food during afternoon. While food is good the service is horrible. The place was empty to exclude two tables who already had their food served. There was 3 employees behind the corner. One of the gave me "the look" and a grin and said that someone will attend me shortly. I will repeat - two tables that were occupied already had their meal. After waiting for 3 minutes I left. Spent few hundreds of dollars at that place. Bad attitude + laziness = less customers.

We loove silkes! Best breads and baked goods ever! The breakfast options are a little strange, but we go here as a good alternative to the usual greasy spoon breakfasts weve found in town. The vegan breakfast is the only one I like, and is basically a variety plate consisting of a lot of delicious fresh breads with guacamole, vegan spreads, sliced veggies and some fruit. They have many good coffee varieties, great sauerkraut pizza, a great vegan sandwich. Yum

Love this place! Just took out the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and it was really really tasty. Their pizzas are also good, not an italian pizza, but well worth ordering. The chef was making the Spring Salad when I was waiting on line and I had a hard time not ordering that too. Definitely stop in this place to eat, you will be pleased. I have been coming here about 5 years now and have never been disappointed.

A local favorite, this German bakery and cafe produces some of the best bread in the area. A robust menu offer salads, sandwiches, soups, pastries, cakes, and fresh bread. The Potato Soup and the Fire Roasted Vegetable (vegetarian) Soup are top notch offerings. If you come to Clarksville you must stop in and sample our local German bakery. Come late in the day and often the owner will considerably discount the breads.

The food wasnt horrible, but it wasnt outstanding either. I got the reuben, a fruit cup, and iced tea. Well . . . I REALLY dont like paying for fruit cocktail in a plastic cup with a pull-off plastic lid. I can buy that at Wal-Mart. For over $10, I was expecting fresh fruit. The reuben and tea were okay, but nothing I cant make myself. Additionally, the cashier was very surly. I wont be going back.

I love this place their bread, cakes and meals taste awesome and the owner is nice. Also I recently discovered another German & international store called World Mart International they sell all of the German and European foods but they do not sell German bread so in short both Silkes and World Mart are the best in Clarksville area because both of them sell my favorite food.

My favorite place for a taste of my old stomping grounds. I love everything about this place and their friendly staff. Please visit here for their bread, pizza, coffee, vegan cake, and deserts. The deli section also serves a mean Jaeger Schnitzel with German noodle salad. I would recommend it for lunch or if you are looking to try something different where you feel at home.

Staff was extremely friendly and let us sample some items prior to ordering. The german potato salad was AMAZING. Our ruben and pastrami sandwiches were tender and delicious, plenty of food for the price. The breads were all tasty and freah. Our coffees were price pointed on par with starbucks and were much tastier. We will be back again many times!

Came over today with my son and husband for a Football Camp at Austin Peay. My depraved about how wonderful their pastries were... after stopping at 5:40pm... I still wouldnt know. The place was locked up tight! Had my heart set on some Awesome pastries. Very Disappointed. The website said closed at 6pm... guess someone had a date they had to get to.

The food was great, and the price is reasonable and the place was very clean. From my experience it is a great place for college students to read, or sit and work during quiet hours. There was a great selection of food, desserts and coffee drinks, and I will definitely be returning. The facility is very cozy and a great place for get togethers.

People seem to love this place, but the food is merely average cafe food not exceedingly great and very overpriced. Everything seems fresh, but the pastries I have had always seem like they are one day old. If you want to get an overpriced German authentic cake it is the place to go. Staff is not bad but I would not say they are friendly.

Take a step into the slow pace of Europe. Fresh foods and deli. Vegetarian and vegan options here. Delicious pizzas too. Hand crafted coffee and drinks. Bakery is awesome! There are also seasonal baked goods. A play corner for little kids to keep busy. U can also view masterpiece of local artists display/ purchase. Love you Silke.

Amazing food, very fair prices (come on people...if youre idea of good food and affordability is the dollar menu then you get what you pay for), and friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi too. The coffee is amazing, try the greek salad or the reuben and my friend had the pizza said it was great. I would recommend this to all.

This place is LEGIT. Wonderful cheerful service, old - fashioned atmosphere, plenty of room to sit down. Coffee is delicious. (I like the German coffee.) Large selection of very buttery pastries. The "bee sting cake" is amazing and so are the meats. Very feel - good place to have a unique, authentic German meal with family.

Just wow. Ordered the salmon burger with soup and a Caramel Apple Latte. The juiciest salmon burger I have had in my life. And the bread was to die for. Now to latte... I am not big on flavored lattes but this apple one hit the spot. My friend had the currywurst and enjoyed every last bite. Come here. Come here now.
