Disappointed in my latest Panera experience. I was told I could not have my normal baguette added to my soup and chips order. I was told I would have to pay for the additional side, so I agreed and told them I would pay for it but then I was told that they couldnt charge me. I always order online and put chips as my side and request a baguette in the special instructions. Ive received my order correct several times except tonight - Tonight I was told that I was messing up inventory. To my knowledge, Panera throws out all stale bread at the end of the night. So how am I messing up inventory? I could understand if I asked for the chips in the special instructions, however I always make sure to add it so that it doesnt mess up inventory. Ive been a St. Louis Bread Company customer since I was a kid living in STL. This is by far the worst Panera Ive ever been to. I think service quality should be standard no matter what time I get my order. Ive lived in 2 different cities in Kentucky, visit family in St. Louis and Chicago and have been to Panera in all locations. Tuscaloosa Panera is not a top Panera. Very disappointed.

Love most of the food. The lettuce is consistently not good. The cashiers are always so very friendly and courteous and act like they want your business. If you even look at or ask any of the males that work on late nite fridays, they are at the least rude and at their worst downright nasty. I asked a question and they acted like I was interrupting their talking and then couldnt answer the question. There is a sign on their bulletin board about the iron bowl giveaway. I asked the cooks/food preparers behind the counter and no one there knew anything about the giveaway. Why have one if no one knows about it. Plus, they are just nasty in general. If you even smile, they just turn their head! I go here lots because I love the berry tea and their scones and chicken salad. I will be going to chicken salad chick instead! I have probably spent around $3,000 at the place since they have opened. This may not be much to them. But since I only eat out about half as much as normal day workers, this is alot of business. BTW this is Keiths wife.

This particular Panera bread was very messy and dirty. The floor was really dirty, napkins all over the floors, trashcan and receptacles were absolutely filthy. The glass on the doors was covered in greasy handprints. All this said, I went to the restroom and an employee was on the phone for the whole time I was in line. (Using a stall as her phonebooth, which further made the line go slower )...I cannot spend my money in a restaurant that is not maintained. Beyond dirty....

I am done with this Panera location after a couple of really bad experiences. Every time I order soup, its so salty that I cant go past a 3 or 4 spoonfuls. I did a takeout of the thai chicken salad a month ago. They gave me rotten lettuces and something smelled really funky in it, maybe the edamame. I had to throw my entire lunch away.

Panera is my favorite place to eat. EXCEPT for the Tuscaloosa location. The food is always randomly thrown together. They dont put enough stuff in their paninis. The staff is mediocre. Its not terrible... but its not worth the $8 they charge you.

So the only reason I come here is for the Greek salad Because it is amazing, but their new Greek salad that replaced the old Greek salad is disgusting. It has no tatste whatsoever. I think would rather eat dirt. GET THE OLD GREEK SALAD BACK

The store is generally clean, the staff is generally friendly, but sometimes the orders have problems and they are out of important ingredients. Overall, its a good experience every time I eat in.
