A couple of my friends were in town and we (4 altogether) decided to meet up with about 14 other people. Knowing Blackhorse doesnt take reservations, someone did call ahead and warned them that a group of 15-18 were coming. This was my second time there and I was very pleased with my first experience, and I was excited to bring my friends from out of town there. When we got there, they told us a 45-1 hr wait. Okay, not so bad, I mean, there were a bunch of us, so it was understandable. Over an hour passes by and after having to shuffle through the pub a few times (because we thought we were being seated), we finally got seated except they didnt put enough tables together to accommodate all of us. There was an open table right next to our party that we figured was for us, so naturally we sat down. Then, the little hostess with bleached ends came up to us and told us that we had to move. We said we were with the party. The pointed and said there was 1 open chair. Now, I am an educated person, and the last time I check, 4 people cant all sit on one stool. Anyways, the point is, the hostess was EXTREMELY rude to the 4 of us who did not have seats exactly with our party. I told her that we had been waiting for over an hour and that Id be glad to take my business elsewhere, and I did just that. Its a shame that the Blackhorse has some employees that drive their customers away like this. It certainly wasnt our fault that their employees couldnt take an accurate number of people who arrived and accommodate all of us, and then tell us that we have to move after waiting for over an hour. Im sure the customers she was getting ready to sit certainly did not wait for over an hour. But its ok, I dont anticipate spending my hard-earned money at a place where employees dont care about their customers. What a shame.

I loved this place. It was easy to feed my kids (under 2) because they love the chicken fingers, sweet potato fries, and the fruit plate is usually good. Theres an array of food and my spouse and I have no problems picking things. This is important since I have several food allergies including one to nuts. After eating here on multiple occasions I just learned the oil used for frying is peanut oil. I was deliberately not exposing my children to peanuts at home but this restaurant decided to do it for me. The information was not provided to me directly either but as an aside from the server who returned to mention it after Id placed my order. I had to ask separately if all their food was cooked in peanut oil. You may wonder why, if I had this allergy, hadnt I noticed before. Well for starters I dont usually eat my childrens food, I have my own. Then there is the fact that this place allows smoking in the evening so everytime I enter the building the smell of cigarette smoke hits me. I assumed the headaches and discomfort were from the latent cigarette smoke, not an extra ingredient in the food.

We went here last night for our valentines dinner, really bad choice. Our server had three tables and still didnt have time for us. She did not bring us appetizer plates when our appetizer came we had to wait for 10 minutes for her to come back around and ask for plates and napkins, then waited another 20 minutes before we were given plates still no napkins. We ordered our food and when it finally came the burger was burnt the bread the burger was on was burnt, the pizza and fries were cold when we received them, I ordered a steak and it was burnt and had no flavor and dry. I am a steak eater and I could not eat the steak it was horrible. We waited around for 3 hrs between waiting for a table and leaving basically for drinks and horrible food and horrible service. Neither of us were impressed and I was very disappointed !!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have visited almost 100 craft and microbreweries across the country. This is one of the five worst. The beer is terrible, and the drinks and food are horribly overpriced for Clarksville area. The only reason they have customers is because theyre the only game in town - which also explains the high rating for this place on Google. Do not make the mistake of wasting your money here. It does have a nice ambiance and the staff has been friendly to me the two times Ive been there, but it is still a waste. If you want real craft beers, make the trip to Nashville, they have several microbreweries and is one of the top cities for craft beers lately. You will see. Okay fine black horse you can have two stars, just because your service and your pizza is decent.

Its a great brewery. I forget the name of it, but I got the lightest beer and it was very good. My friend got the vanilla beer and she really liked it (if you like that kind of thing). The best thing we had was the beer cheese. It is highly addictive and we would go back just for that. Our entrees were very good as well, but nothing to brag about. The only complaint I have is that we went here to see our friends we havent seen in a long time and we wanted to spend time catching up afterwards, but we could tell that our server wanted us out of there so she could get more customers. It is totally understandable, but I would just suggest if you want to go somewhere to relax and take your time this might not be the best place.

The food is always great! We work right down the street and order lunch to go on busy days (which is quite often). While there are some simple mistakes (wrong dressing) sometimes, the one time we have complained, we were not only delivered fresh fries by the manager, Cody, but he even came back and delivered our other order of fries because I was not clear during the phone call that we had two orders of fries we needed. Seriously, the wrong dressing is such a simple mistake it really isnt a big deal and everyone knows that fries wont be the freshest when you get something to go. Cody went way above and beyond any sort of expectations we had when we did call to complain. Thanks for being awesome.

We came here for lunch on a day after exploring the Riverwalk. We happen to come in on weekday and it was fairly popular place especially on a Tuesday. We were recommended this place by a friend who said their cheese dip was delicious. We ordered our food from a waiter who was on his second day but he did very well for his first couple of days. When we ordered our food we were impressed at how fresh the food was for a pub and brewery. We even enjoyed our meal a second time when we took it home for dinner. It was surprising how well it kept. The beer cheese dip was very good as mentioned to us previously and the only complaint I have is how dark it was in there. At least for the lunch time hours.

Pizza! I first heard about this place when someone mentioned they had the best pizza in town. They are also one of the few places that still offer anchovies as a topping. Anchovies and pepperoni pizza is a gastronomical delight and should be paired with a good beer. They make their own version of the black and tan except they use their own vanilla pale ale in place of the traditional bass ale. The vanilla gives it a great flavor. The tap room upstairs offers an overflow to the main bar and restaurant downstairs. The last Friday I went there they even had a live band (female singer and guitarist) playing that sounded good.
