Mere Bulles is good for business meetings and for a non-traditional restaurant date night. The atmosphere is cozy as the restaurant is in a old plantation house. Due to the cost and menu selection, I do not bring my children here. They are picky eaters. Co-workers and other business partners that have dined here with me always compliment specific entrees as a must have. E.g. - the crab bisque. I have only had two issues dining here over a 4 year period. The fries that are part of the steak and fries were not very good. On one of our date nights we had one of the steaks undercooked and then subsequently burned.

Hostess is not appropriately attired in cut off jeans skirt and tank top. Food was extremely overpriced, cool not warm, and mediocre at best. From other reviews I expected to be wowed but was sadly disappointed. Creme brulee drench toast was soggy and not hot. Crepes were sadly premade and reheated. Seriously, it takes less than one minute to make a fresh crepe. Only thing of value was the Mimosa, extremely strong and required additional purchase of a $5.98 glass of orange juice to make into a breakfast beverage. Dont waste your $80+ dollars and enjoy Ihop or Cracker Barrell.

My wife and I ate here during our stay in Brentwood. The food is really un inspired and a throw back to the 1980"s. Stuffed mushrooms with crab and lobster swimming in cream and butter. Scallop entree had some promise until the chef/cook seasoned it with some type of powdered seasoning which made the scallops too salty and took away from the flavor of the scallops which were a good size and cooked fine but again old school cooking with no imagination. The service was good and the staff was friendly but if you are looking for really good food this is not the place.

A really good place for lunch. Been here many times. A stellar place to bring people to a nearby place and that feels more upscale than typical options in Brentwood/Maryland Farms. Everything is good on the menu. No complaints at all. Has an old country club vibe to it. Not necessary impressive or hip, but nothing to complain about either. Great people. Great service. Parking usually good. I suggest reservations. It fills up quickly during the lunch hour (as most things in Maryland Farms area). Always good specials. You cant go wrong with this place.

Im an ex chef. So I rarely eat a meal out that I dont find at least one gripe with. The blackened Redfish was absolutely perfect. Creole shrimp sauce seasoned perfectly, roasted root veg and seared kale/mushroom salad on point, sw pot grit cake, awesome. Best meal Ive had out in maybe a decade. I know someone who is related to the family that owned the house, so that made the atmosphere even better. They actually found an old photo in the Attic and gave it to him. Great experience.

We have been long time customers of Mere Bulles. We love the back patio and will always sit out there if the weather permits. Last night we had the best waiter we have ever had there. His name was Levi and I believe he is fairly new. We always get great service but last night was exceptionally good. He was so personable yet professinal. We will be requesting him from now on! Thank you Mere Bulles for always hiring the best!!

My husband and I went to Mere Bulles today to celebrate my birthday and our 38th wedding anniversary. My husband ordered the ribeye steak sandwich and he enjoyed it. I had the Mahi Mahi, it was ok but a very small portion. I also had the carrot cake which was dry and half of it very cold. We had the she-crab bisque which I was very disappointed in the texture and taste. Im not sure if I will try Mere Bulles again.

The taste and variety of the food is outstanding; vastly unlike so many other places that that disquise mediocre food with weird, trendy ingredients. The Chefs at Mere Bulles seem to be experts at combining quality food with seasoning and sauces that result in wonderful food. Im not even a fan of of seafood, including crab; but my favorite thing on the menu was the She-Crab bisque (soup). Its amazing.

Went here for lunch a few times as I work right down the road so it is convenient. The food is really good, they make fresh potato chips and the servers we had always had a great sense of humor. I dont go here often because it does seem a bit fancy and for lunch I rather have a more laid back comfortable place to eat at. But that being said the food and service is good here and prices are reasonable.

If I wanted to impress someone with fine dining without skimping on portions... this is it. You will be satisfied with every aspect of this place. Service is personal and caring. The chefs are spot on with their selections and execution. Cant say enough here... oh... get the bisk... no really... get it! Call it appetizer or desert.. you need this. Btw... desert... stop it, Im hungry again.

attended supper here after a recent business meeting, the "PRIME RIB" was to die for, perfectly cooked and seasoned, the sides were paid the same attention. The appetizer of Calamari, dusted with Parmesan and served with Marinara was lovely as well. Wish there was a place like this in N.C. Can not wait for the opportunity to visit again.

The cheese plate is a joke. We went for a bottle of wine.and small appetizer while waiting for the ridiculous traffic to thin. They basically opened a couple a Kraft packages and chopped it into cubes. Toss on some grapes and you have pretentious southern food. Like the rest of Brentwood, cheesy.

I was in Nashville for company training with Brookdale Senior Living and one evening they took us to Mere Bulles. Vernon was our server and treated us wonderfully...The she crab bisque was fabulous...Atmosphere was awesome...I would highly suggest Mere Mulles when you are in Brentwood/Nashville.

The crab bisque was amazing. The porch outside is awesome for sitting all evening. The place was not busy at all even though it was Friday night. I think this is because business people in Brentwood typically go there for lunch. Our waitress was delightful. I will definitely be back soon!

The brunch on Sundays is absolutely AMAZING. The creme brule French toast is DELICIOUS. I would recommend arriving at 9:30a when it opens because it gets pretty packed. Their lunch and dinner menus are also really great. Def. worth the drive to Brentwood.

The atmosphere was perfect-quiet and private. The service was unequaled-our server was attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The food was spectacular -perfectly prepared and paired. May be the best overall meal we have ever eaten out!
