I found out about the Barbecue House, while searching the coupon book. A party of 13 decided to give the Barbecue House a try. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a staff. Although the restaurant is a "seat yourself" establishment, I told the waiter that I had a party of 13 and would like to sit together. They quickly put tables together for us so that we could. They never seemed agitated or upset that they were asked to do this. Very, very friendly. My waiter (cant remember his name) greeted the table and immediately went to work. He took drink orders, appetizer orders, and then main dish. All of which came in a timely fashion. My waiter kept all the cups full of drink throughout the entire meal. Which is not an easy task with such a large group. he was friendly and courteous as well. The food was excellent! Definately something for everyone on the menu. Large portions and affordable prices. This is just a little bit about my experience. I will definitely be returning to this restuarant. Top notch food and great service.

Decor... nothing fancy here to see, but food and service are what make a place a great. Its a "seat yourself" place, but our server, Elizabeth, was very good to us. She kept us supplied with their sweet tea, which was very good, and was great with our child. I had ordered a 12 wings meal, with two sides and hushpuppies, for $12. The wings were very good, and the pulled pork my girlfriend ordered was better (I stole some from her). This place has the typical variety of bbq sauces on the table, which were all good, especially the mustard-based one. All around good pricing here. Kid-friendly, too... kid meals come with a cookie and two "treasure tokens", which are slugs for 25 cent toy machines the restaurant has located by the front (kids go crazy for this kind of stuff, though). All in all, not a pretty place, but the food, service, and pricing make up for it.

We had a terrific experience last night at the Bar-B-Que House. The inside reminds me of a nicer fast food place. You seat yourself, which is always nice having a choice of tables. Our waitress, Alice, was at our table within a minute to take our drink order. We also got our drinks within a minute and gave her our order. The food was amazing. Every order comes with a side of hushpuppies and most come with two sides. I got wings and ribs, (a great and unusual combination ha ha), and my wife got pulled pork. All the meat was super tender and fell off the bone. The wings were some of the best Ive had. But, we really loved the sides. The mac and cheese was incredible and the hushpuppies were outstanding. Plus the prices were reasonable. For four of us to eat there, it cost 50 dollars. Thats 12.50 a person! Awesome place.

I was craving some fried chicken so bad. I was staying at the Holiday Inn in Surfside. I didnt want to drive into myrtle beach so we decided to check out this mom and pop place. The food was incredible. I dont have fried chicken places back home in RI. However, this place was very good and the service was superb. I recommend anybody that is looking for a delicious BBQ place to check this out. Quick hint: If you order the fried chicken it will take 25 minutes, but its well worth it

The food wasnt bad but management is horrible. They offer a family sized meal for $35.00 and then an additional $5 for each additional person that eats. Yet, you dont get any additional food for the additional $. When I told them that my 7 and 10 year old didnt eat because they didnt like it. The manager had a nerve to say to me, "you ate in front of your kids and didnt feed them?" We asked the waitress about this before we ordered because we knew our kids wouldnt eat.

Wish I could leave less than one star...we went the first time and the waitress walked over and said youll have to wait Im the only one here....we have them the benefit of the doubt and tried again...at 8:00 on a Friday they were out of Turkey and Ribs...we wouldnt order the brisket because the first time we had it, it was gray and flavorless. The pulled pork was full of fat. Save your stress, time and money and go to Dickies in MB, or anywhere other than here!!

This was our first time to myrtle beach and we tried this place when we arrived and definitely wasnt disappointed. It was a very welcome arrival, the employees greeted us as if weve been customers since yall opened. We have eaten there twice and had a to go order as well and will be there again before we leave. We are trying to figure out how to get a to go of the Texas brisket back to Columbus Ohio when we have to head back. Amazing place i know that

Great food and Im picky about my BBQ. Server was nice and friendly. Prices were outstanding for the beach. Hush puppies were sweet and not dry. BBQ was only luke warm temperature-wise, but I dont like super hot food. Sauces on the table so you get to taste and choose. Great overall experience! Hey my wife liked it, so that says volumes!

The mac & cheese was not cheesy. The cole slaw was not the best (to me). Chicken was lacking seasoning. Also the meat was a little light on the sauce. Probably shouldve ask for some on the side. The hushpuppies had a sweet unique taste that was enjoyable. Customer service was nice. Overall, nothing personal. Just business.

This place never disappoints! We have been coming here since we found it randomly, when driving while hungry one day and we have been coming back ever since hush puppies are amazing and the cinnamon butter is the best I have had. Polite and quick service great sides and great barbeque. Recommend to everyone I meet!!

Another great dinner! We eat here every time we come to town. I have never had a bad experience. The food is great and the service is quick and friendly. This is the only place I eat ribs. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. We will continue to come back when we come to town.

Staying at the hotel next door, we walked to lunch and very much enjoyed delicious BBQ wings, hot wings and pork BBQ as well! The place wasnt busy, being Tuesday and even though our waitress was friendly she seemed hurried for our departure. Thats okay, we would recommend this place for sure!

Friendly, exuberant service. Shout out to Rebecca. Great bbq. Carolina style. Excellent choice of sauces. Honey butter with hush puppies. Wide choices of side dishes. Good mac, baked beans, collards. Only critique would be beef brisquet isnt quite Texas style. Not sliced right.

My family and I decided to try this place on Memorial Day. I am generally not a fan of BBQ, but this place was excellent! Great atmosphere and friendly staff! I had their Chicken Wrap, my family had other BBQ plates and it was great! Will definitely be going back in the future.
